During the most difficult time of my life, losing my son while he was living in New Orleans, over 1000 miles away from me, I was very fortunate to locate Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie, LA.
After calling 3 funeral homes in the same area, (one was $200 more for exactly the same service offered at Leitz-Eagen, and the other funeral home employs the most incredibly rude man I've ever encountered) I chose Leitz-Eagan, and would recommend them to anyone. They had been my first call, however I had been advised to "check around" - even though I was pleased with my initial contact, I did check other establishments, finding immediately that my instincts were correct regarding Leitz-Eagan.
After many phone calls during our long drive to Metairie, not once did I encounter anything other than caring, sympathetic and knowledgeable staff.
They are to be commended for their patience.
Additionally, Director Joseph Eagan treated me as though I were family. Mr. Eagan offered advice when needed, answered every one of the many questions I asked, all the while offering much needed comfort and understanding during a time it was most appreciated.
Mr. Eagan's professional demeanor exemplifies not only knowledge and skill of his profession, but also that of a kind, understanding and compassionate human being.
Thank you, to all staff members at Leitz Eagan, for taking such a horrible task and making it bearable. The comfort your assistance provided cannot be measured.
Most Sincerely,
Pam Elliott
