My mother in law passed away yesterday and after setting an appointment through the funeral home to meet the folks at Greenoaks at1 pm, we arrived 15 minutes early and have sat waiting....it is now 1:50 and still NOTHING. If the plot wasn't prepaid several years ago, based on the level of service I would have NOTHING to do with this place.

Very friendly staff and great services a little expensive my great grandmother passed away on June 13th and they did great with everything I'm still upset about my great grandmother and we've gotten her cremated it took a while for the keepsake urns yo come in but they did yesterday and we went to go get them and the certificate. Y'all were amazing to my family.

I haven’t been to a funeral in several years and I was quite surprised at how pleasant it was for Leroy Colter’s service. It was a large crowd but the staff was very attentive. The funeral director came in frequently to attend to the family. I am only a friend of the family but stayed for the whole thing including the celebration of Leroy’s life at the reception hall. The food was very good as the caterer noticed I came back for seconds and laughed. Nice job Greenoaks!

No permits and blood and formaldehyde leaking into the sewer system. Funerals are a rip off....just do cremation. Cheaper and more humane.

On today we visited Greenoaks Reception Center for a reception, and had the pleasure of meeting the Event Planner Mrs. Shirley who greeted everyone as they entered the facility. Mrs. Shirley made us feel so welcome and at home until I had to post our experience. God has a calling on our lives and she’s serving the needs of families during the time of their lost. The family even mentioned how easy she was to relate to and how she showed compassion, sympathy, and caring in making sure their life celebration for their love one was a memorable celebration. And, the room where we were seating was decorated in the things the deceased loved to do. If you ever need the service of an Event Planner I would definitely recommend Mrs. Shirley. Thank you Shirley for using the gifts God has given you to be compassionate, caring and most of all a good listener in what their love ones enjoying.

The negative reviews are futile. I've known about Greenoaks since the early 90's and NEVER had an even slightly bad experience either going in to ask where a grave was to even the moment I had to reach out in the worst minute of my life. Everyone is caring, compassionate and goes the extra mile to make the most horrific times of life as bearable as possible. I can't say enough about how amazing they are. Thank you Precious who took my initial call, Ms. Jennifer who I was blessed to get to meet and walked me thru the worst, Ms. Jerri who is now helping with getting my plans done and of course Mr. Kippy who is the best GM that Greenoaks has ever had. They all go above and beyond no matter what and it means a ton. I would recommend everyone who wants A+ 5 star level of sincere humanity in your most difficult time of life to look no further than Greenoaks. Love them!

My brother and I had a horrible experience here when our father recently passed and, given the nature of grief, it's only after everything occurred that we realize how terribly we were ripped off. Most distressingly, we'd wanted to know when our father was being cremated. Both of us called several times to find out when and were assured that we would receive a call. I viewed his cremation as a sacred time and wanted to observe it myself with stillness and prayer. No one ever called us. Instead, we got a call the day before the funeral telling us to come and pick up his ashes. I am disgusted by this huge oversight, but of course, nothing can be done now. In addition, had to pay 60% of today's value of a plot WE ALREADY OWN (from our brother who passed in 2003) to have my father's ashes interred in the same plot. We were sold a $500 solid bronze urn for my father's ashes -- and it came to us with a Made in China sticker on it, covered in a cheap velvet cloth that had a hole in it. What kind of people prey on the grieving and offer them cheap urns for $500 that will simply be buried immediately? If we could do it over again, I would have taken the ashes myself and sprinkled them -- at no cost -- on the plot we already owned and told Greenoaks to go to hell. ** After Greenoaks posted the response below, I emailed to try to talk this out with the funeral director. After over a week, no one has responded to my email. This place is not interested in customer service. **

My Mom passed away unexpectedly we didn't have time to research. Wish we would have. They were so expensive. She is buried in the cemetery behind the funeral. 4 months later there is still no plaque on her grave. They promised it would be 6 weeks. The chapel was a joke, the multimedia no know how to operate there system. A few weeks later we went to speak to the general manager and he was abrupt and dismissive.
