My family recently used Boone Funeral Home and i feel that this was a mistake. From the beginning, the funeral director never showed any slight compassion or dignity towards my family. She was rude and cold thru the entire planning process. She did not go out of her way to show us all of the options, i.e., choosing the casket, dvd options, the program, etc... I almost chocked when, towards the end of the meeting when we were completing the plans and she stated that if we had any further questions to ask her staff due to her having an IMPORTANT appointment. I was very appalled. I thought this comment was very rude and not appropriate. There Is a tv in the lobby and during the planning meeting, the show Foresenic Files was playing - no joke. There was also several references towards the costs of their services DURING the meeting. I feel this in very poor taste and very tacky. The funeral should listen to what the family wants - THEN discuss the cost after the family has decided what they want. The decor of the funeral home is very outdated and needs to have a complete overhaul. There is nothing nice, pretty, warm about this funeral home. The only reason why we used Boone was due to the burial was already paid for years ago. There has to be a nicer and a better consoling staff in Shreveport/Bossier City. This is why I wrote this review - to make you aware to choose another funeral home.
