My family and I give Lensing Funeral and Cremation Services our deepest gratitude and heartfelt recommendation for the care, compassion, responsiveness, guidance, and flexibility the entire staff provided us after Mom's passing. Not having much time to gather word-of-mouth suggestions from those we know and trust, our hospice gave us a list of area funeral homes, remarking on a few of them, and mentioned that they'd recently had a good experience working with Lensing. That anecdotal tidbit, more than any other single factor, led us to choose Lensing. We needed to know that Mom would be cared for, but also that we - her family - would be cared for. In every way, Lensing really came through for us.
Our funeral director, Mike O'Brien, quite simply, was superb. The way he served our family calls to mind the Platinum Rule: treating others not necessarily how we'd like to be treated, but how they'd like to be treated. Mike cares enough to know the difference, and is skillful enough to perform. He was patient with our questions, gave us options without overwhelming us, guided us but never presumed to know what was best for us, anticipated our needs, honored our special requests, and took care of all the arrangements, which all went perfectly smoothly. Throughout the process, Mike was attentive, responsive, and accommodating. Most importantly, he reassured us, in word, deed, and in his presence. When a loved one dies, you just want peace of mind that their memory would be honored with dignity and in a way they would have wanted, and that everything will go off without a hitch. Mike, and everyone at Lensing, made this happen for us. We are truly grateful for the way they cared for and served our family.
