We lost our Mother on 6/29/18. Stuart Mortuary was very loving and caring with our entire family. Cory went above and beyond to meet with us on a Sunday to make arrangements. If you want true professionals in this business, you came to the right place.

My entire family has used Stuarts for many years. My son passed away Oct 2015, his dad and I paid for everything in FULL the day we chose to use them for his service. Everything was nice our son looked very HANDSOME. We were told that his headstone would be down by April because of the winter months and weather. April has come and gone and it is now June 17 and our son still does not have his headstone. We have called and gone up there several times, there is never a return call as promised nor is anyone available to answer questions when we go up there. This is not good for business. We were told a month ago that the headstone had to be reordered and there was a rush put on it . It would have been nice to have his headstone by Memorial day but even better if it was there by fathers day.. STILL NO ANSWER ON WHERE HIS HEADSTONE IS ....

Stuart Mortuary managed the funeral care of my grandmother the matriarch of our family and everything had been paid for in advance. They did an incredible job with her and she loooked amazing. My grandmother was buried back in December of this year... After that, everything went downhill. The homegoing bookmarks had the wrong time for the viewing listed, and today is Thursday June 2nd and my grandmother still doesn't have a headstone. I called at least 6 times and left a detailed message with Mara Stuart to call me back and finally someone named Damont Glenn called and scheduled an appointment for us to select the headstone. I selected the headstone and waited to hear back with a follow up after several weeks passed. I called back at least 3 more times after a month and left messages. Finally someone called back only to tell me that Damont Glenn no longer worked there and they had no record of what we ordered, so the process had to start all over again. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences that I've had. LITTLE OR NO FOLLOW UP, NO SENSE OF URGENCY, AND A TOAL LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. 6 months ago, our grandmother passed away and was buried, and there still is no headstone present for our family to go visit to commemorate our grandnmother. No grieving family should ever have to have this experience!!!!!!!

With the help of my family, I had to plan my Dad’s funeral and figure out how to pay for everything. The owner of Stuart’s showed my family so much love! It was such a hard time for us, but she made us laugh, helped us find resources, and she made us feel like everything was going to be okay. If you are trying to figure out what funeral home to go through to bury your loved ones, then you should go to Stuart’s. You will not be disappointed!

This is so unfortunate that Stuarts use to be an elite Funeral provider. I was ask to do the services of a good friend of mine. Sadly to say from the time of entering the building it was awful, unprofessional, attitude, tacky from front to back. I had to ask for the director over the service. It was busy but gehetto, they put my friends body in the back because they had no room due to the larger service. I had to ask what was going on on behalf of the family. Then I was questioned by staff several times about choices made by the family. I called ahead of time to speak with the person over this service never got a return call. The kindest person in the facility was the gentleman playing cds for me. Rude and entitled african americans in busy. The director over the service was just over the top, he must have felt this was my first service. He did the committal I just read and prayed, so the family was unaware of what was really going on. Family and friends asked for programs the attendant sat there never looking up and greeting the person, just handed it to them like they were bothering her. For future reference this is not the Stuarts that we were a custom too, don't be so eager to leave your loved one in their hands. God was not invited, those fake smiles are all about the money. I pray for a change but I also pray not to have to facilitate here again. Last but not least when they moved my friend's body to palor A, they left the casket open and rolled her down the hall like a coat rack... Venting the truth Minister Karen Squires

I was traveling home when a funeral procession started right next to me. I tried to turn left to get home and out of their way, when two cars pinned my car against the curb in order to blockade me. They aren't police vehicles and act like they have the right to do anything they want. Also wore badges which are not issued by IMPD

Well on 5/6/2016 they showed so much compassion and respect for my whole family and they even made sure that no cars cut into the funeral possession and they made it so easy for me to let my gammie fly high

My mother recently passed. I released her body to them, requested online coordination, and was told "we do not offer web chat". There is limited communication, things are apparently done on their time, and this company is not accommodating and that shows a lack of ethical considerations. I recommend not discussing anything orally. Request arrangement options with detailed pricing before you agree to anything, and make that agreement in writing only with their letter head. There is a lag in effective business administration, and it is evident with the lack of simple, professional email communication. I hope that you have a better experience and not have to worry if arrangements will be handled in a timely manner.
