Bill Shirley went way out of his way to be helpful and accommodating when I needed to make arrangements in Kokomo though I live in Oregon. He knew all the relevant administrative and planning details that made it possible for me to have a smooth and easy experience. The cremation and pre-paid plan was already done when I contacted him so getting this much care and compassion for a very small piece of business showed a real generosity of spirit and professionalism. Anyone who can work with him in their actual time of need is lucky indeed!

It's been a couple of years now but feel it's still important to share this. My beloved Springer Spaniel (Camry) unexpectedly passed away. I had her cremated there and within a couple of days was notified that she was ready to be picked up. Her remains were in a nice oak box with a name plate with her name & dob & did engraved on it, there also was a bookmark with her name, a poem & small swatch of her hair. As you would expect I was upset when I took her there, i was treated compassionately and professionally. I couldn't have ask for more during this difficult time. What prompted me to write this now is a dear friend of mine is facing the same thing & I strongly recommend Shirley Stout to them. Bill Shirley and his staff are very professional and caring folks. I feel comfortable with their help, as I have been in other funeral homes that are unproffessuonal and the environment is off. They did a wonderful job for my mom's viewing as well as previous Family and friends. After my mom's passing, they offered a grieve support group, which has really helped me along my path.

They handled my brothers cremation on February 9th, 2016. It took 3 phone calls to get the death certificates. Each time I was told they would be put in the mail that day. Ultimately, they were found 3 weeks later on somebody's desk. Death certificates came at the end of March. The price of cremation was 2,495 dollars. When I called to pay the bill, they charged my card 5,244 dollars which obviously was a 2700 dollar mistake. Very unprofessional.

The owners are no better than thieves who knowingly cheat the funeral directors out of overtime pay. I can't believe they profess to be Christians.
