I cannot say enough about Eric Bell at Leppert Mortuary in Carmel, IN. I met him as a funeral director and he has since become a dear friend of mine due to his sincerity, kindness and incredible ability to bring serenity to any situation. Eric has taken care of the passing of several of my family members and friends with the utmost respect for religious consideration and cultural accommodation. Eric is very methodical in his practice allowing the family to take care of the business portion of funeral arrangements while also allowing the essential time to grieve without the chaos that I've seen happen during many other funerals. Leppert Mortuary - Carmel Smith Chapel gets my highest rating and regard. My father, Thomas Cartmel, passed away on Wed. Nov. 27th, the day before Thanksgiving. Losing My Dad is the hardest thing I have ever had to go thru in my life. On top of that, trying to plan a funeral in a very short period of time during a holiday weekend could have meant crippling stress. However, from the onset, Leppert Mortuary and their Funeral Director, Eric Bell made things much easier. I received my first phone call from Eric early the very next morning on Thanksgiving. Eric, even though out of town with his family for Thanksgiving, patiently took the time with me that day to answer any questions my family and I had. Throughout the entire planning process, Eric kept this same level of availability and communication. Further, Eric never took a pushy "sales" approach to steer us towards the most expensive options. Rather, he genuinely took the time to get to know us as people and who my Dad was and what he liked. Lastly, Eric was extremely knowledgeable not just with the funeral options but also with the business affairs of handling my Dad's Social Security, VA benefits, and life insurance. In conclusion, I would recommend Leppert Mortuary to any family out there who has just lost a loved one who is trying to pre-plan a funeral. I truly feel like Eric and his staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and seamlessly during such a hard time in our lives. Thank you very much.
