Our family suffered a sudden loss and never thought we would be planning a funeral. In researching and visiting funeral homes nothing was good enough. When I walked into the Elms Funeral Home, I had a feeling that it could not be anywhere else. It was bright, inviting and intimate. The staff are phenomenal in every way, they are welcoming, professional, empathetic, and caring. There is only one chapel which allows privacy and a sense of comfort during this process. Making funeral arrangements after losing my brother seemed like such an arduous task. Stephanie Brown was our Director, her professionalism, flexibility and knowledge left my family at ease that everything would go smoothly. She was sympathetic and available to answer any questions. Though I have attended several funerals I was unfamiliar with all the details in the planning process. Stephanie and the Elms staff were extremely accommodating throughout the process and continue to be helpful a month later. They allowed us to decorate and rearrange furniture in the chapel that we felt best suited a sendoff my Brother would be proud of. Stephanie made it easy for me to support my parents and walked me through the process. She helped me make decisions and provided input when needed. My family and I were allowed to share our goodbyes to my brother in our own unique way, and I will be forever grateful for that. During the most difficult time of my life, The Elms staff was by our side and again, we are beyond grateful that they made this experience one my brother would be proud of. Their guidance and support gave me strength to support my family and make it through the first week of our loss.
