Scott was so patient and such a caring person to walk us through the entire process which was my first time. However, he was always there to answer our questions and guide us in burying my grandmother. They did an incredible job preparing him for viewing considering it had been almost a week before they were able to get him to their establishment. They were very sensitive to our emotional needs, gave us the preparation and help we needed, and kept it an affordable pricepoint for us seeing as how we're unsure of the benefits my brother had. Death is never easy on a family, so planning for what comes after can be incredibly hard but Tim Hultgren was incredible helpful and compassionate in our time of sorrow. He made it easy, was patient and upfront about costs and how the day would go. The cost was reasonable and the service went beyond my expectations. With giving us boards to put pictures on, scanning hundreds of pictures and putting them together in a slide show, creating custom prayer cards and I even got to play my dad favorite music during the wake, and we never felt rushed to leave. Every person that I interacted with was professional but also made me feel as if they truly cared, it was a nice extra touch. I would highly recommend Hultgren because they made a very difficult time a little easier for me and my family.

Hultgren made a sad situation much easier and as painless as possible. Patient and kind, we were educated on how the process worked and were never pressured to buy anything. Guidance was given when needed or asked for. We chose a mid-range coffin and vault and appreciated the freedom to choose without being hassled. The wake could not have been more beautiful and the facility was large enough that families with children or those wanting an emotional break, could escape downstairs to the 'diner' or into another private 'living room' styled room. The meager photos I had looked stunning once they framed them and put them on an easel. Hultgren also paid the musicians, priests, and whoever else needed to be paid on our behalf. (I certainly did not know the appropriate amount to pay everyone!) The prayer cards were beautiful and I have absolutely no complaints or regrets. I am thinking about my own funeral now and may set up a file for them.

Scott Macy served as our Funeral Director and he did a masterful job. Scott helped us plan a funeral on short notice from out of town. His attention to detail was outstanding and his kindness and sensitivity to our situation was genuine. Scott was able to get the entire process rolling by phone and then smoothly and professionally helped us plan the final details once we were in town. Scott possesses superior planning and logistics skills and he followed through on everything that he promised. Beyond that, he was patient, understanding and pleasant throughout the process. Tim Hultgren was a significant blessing to our family when my sister died. He met us at the house, guided us through the decisions we needed to make, all with strength, dignity, patience and compassion. I cannot say enough positive things about Hultgren Funeral Home. My mother and father in law's services were there, as well as most recently my Mother, age 91, and 7 years ago my brother who was 53. Every time they were helpful in helping us clarify our thoughts and make decisions when it came to memorializing those we miss. I felt a deep connection with the staff without it feeling sappy, it was about celebrating a life, nothing at Hultgren's feels dreary - even the surroundings inside feel hopeful and comforting I have been other places to extended family funerals- I would never chose otherwise. They were that superior.
