Several weeks before my father passed away, I had received an estimate from a funeral home in GA re funeral expenses. The prices quoted were exorbitant! About a week before he passed, my husband suggested that I google some funeral homes which were affordable. While researching, I came upon "Divine Mortuary Services" and was impressed, not only with their name, but also with their website. Their reception area and adjoining rooms (chapel, offices, etc.) were very appealing, and when I shared this with my husband, he too, was very impressed. He commented that, more than likely, from its appearance, it would be expensive. I decided to call them to find out how affordable they were. I was connected to Donnie Tuggle, the manager. He gave me a breakdown of the cost of the Basic Funeral Package. Donnie was so patient with me and gave me concise answers to all my questions. I realized this luxurious looking funeral home is affordable! A few days later, on February 20, 2019, when my Dad expired, I was required by the nursing home to immediately provide the name of the funeral home which would be handling his funeral arrangements. Although I had not made prior arrangements with them, I called Divine Mortuary at 3:30 am. Donnie called me back right away, in about 15 minutes or less!! From that moment on, Donnie and the rest of the staff helped to make our loss and the burden of planning a funeral so much lighter! There was no question that I presented which seemed foolish to him and if he did not have the answer at that moment, he was able to procure an answer in a timely manner and get back to me. The compassion, professionalism and attention to every detail prior to, during and after the funeral, which were exhibited by the entire staff, was phenomenal! Donnie sent me sample programs to help with writing the obituary and had me sign off on drafts that were submitted until the final proof, ensuring that there was no typographical error etc. That was remarkable, since we have witnessed minor errors in some programs received at other funerals. Also, I had requested that, if it were possible, my Dad's facial features be maintained so that he would resemble the Dad we knew. Divine Mortuary was able to accomplish this superbly! On the day of the funeral we continued to experience the compassion and professionalism of Divine Mortuary. The organization of the processional before and after the service was very exceptional, not to mention the fact that they made sure that everything was taken care of during the service. Pastor Meredith was so very supportive and compassionate and ensured that my sister and myself were escorted from the burial site to our vehicles. Thank you, Donnie, Pastor Meredith, Dallas and the rest of the staff for a job very well done! I highly recommend this Funeral Home to anyone who is looking for an affordable funeral package, along with professionalism and compassion. I want recognize Donnie and Sherman for working diligently on ensuring the service was exactly what we requested. It was a relief to have so many pressures lifted off of our shoulders when we requested the time to mourn or just spend some time alone with our son. I want to give all my thanks to the team at Divine Mortuary & Cremation Services. While going through a very difficult time and planning for a very sudden and unexpected death of my mom, Donnie and his team made the stress of planning for a funeral almost none. We had a very difficult request that we asked of the team- which was to have my mom prepared and transported back to our home country (Mexico) as soon as possible. Being that her death was sudden our entire family was in deep pain and mourning and we wanted to get her down to our hometown fast to have her service and burial. We knew this was something that was going to be very expensive and timely. I did some research of several funeral homes for price comparisons and Divine was by far the best option. Not only were they the most affordable, their customer service was impeccable and they worked fast and efficiently. In approximately a week my mom was back in Mexico with her family and her service and burial were exceptional. The team also did an amazing job with her hair, makeup, and dress. Her viewing was exactly what we wanted- something simple yet nice. Her friends and family located here were able to say their goodbye's comfortably. No one wants to go through the stress and pain of planning the death of a loved- especially a mother. However, I couldn't be happier with the Divine team. Definitely recommend for the transportation of a loved one to a different location.
