When my girlfriends Mother passed from ALS I immediately reached out to Loomis FF and they handled everything instantly and so incredibly professional. This was the most HORRIIFIC experience I have ever had. After seeing positive reviews on Google I decided to go to Loomis for my mom's cremation. Steve seemed genuine and caring and explained that he would be with me every step of the way notifying me when the death certificates were ready, when the cremation took place, and when her ashes were sent out of state to be buried with my dad. I gave him a picture of my mom for the obituary and he said if he couldn't use it he would call me and I would provide another. NEVER USED THE PICTURE AND NEVER CALLED ME TO PROVIDE ANOTHER. I called him when I didn't see the picture. DO NOT EVEN KNOW IF THE NEW PICTURE WAS EVER PUBLICLY IN THE PAPER OR NOT. THE NEW PICTURE DID SHOW ON THEIR WEBSITE BUT NOWHERE ELSE. My mom's wish was to have her cats ashes be put in the urn with her before she was buried. I gave Steve the ashes. Called weeks after she passed to see if that was done I was told by Steve it was. I was also told by the receptionist or whatever her title was that my mom's remains had not been picked up yet so God only knows if the cat remains ever got into my mom's urn at all. Finally when I called yesterday I was told by the same receptionist that my mom's remains were there but they could not get a hold of the out of state cemetery where she was being sent to. Upon calling the cemetery I was told there were no messages from Loomis on their phone. That same day I had the cemetery call Steve and was told in the same conversation that my mom's remains were not there and then he said they were and could no longer talk to her because he had to leave for a graduation.. I was so mad when I called them back after hearing what Steve said that I told them I was reporting this negligence to the police. After I hung up the "Office Manager William" called and apologized. AT THIS POINT, IT's REALLY SAD TO SAY BUT BASED ON THE LIES AND THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED, I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE REMAINS BEING SENT OUT OF STATE ARE REALLY MY MOMS OR EVEN IF HER CATS WERE ADDED TO THEM. THIS HAS BEEN A TOTAL NIGHTMARE AND I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA . TOTAL TRAVESTY!

On behalf of the family of the late David Herring, I would like to give a shout out to and personally thank Loomis Funeral Home, the City of Apopka, and the Apopka Police Department. Loomis Funeral Home did an amazing job helping to arrange and provide services for the passing of my father-in-law. Shannon Castro was amazing at what she did to make the arrangements much easier than what we expected them to be. We will be forever grateful for your kind heart and compassion during this difficult time. The Apopka Police gave us an escort from the funeral home to the cemetery and it was one of the greatest things I’ve seen. They did an amazing job at keeping traffic at bay especially since traffic at that time was already crazy. We could’ve used that escort home too. Thank you to everyone for all your hard work and services. It is very much appreciated.

Since the 1st day I met with Steve I felt welcome he helped me out with everything. He didn't rush me at all when it came out to picking things out for my mom. He really made me feel like family. I hope I don't have to visit no time soon but if I ever have to again this would be the place to pick. His staff was great too! If I could give you a 10 star I would.

William and team were just amazing. Our fathers passing was by far the most tragic event that has happened to our family and each of us were grieving in such different ways, they were able to remain professional, explain every step of the burial process and even looking to a verity of scenarios that we asked about. They even restocked the peppermint candies that kids kept loading up on. I can not thank them enough for their patients and support. Their slogan should be "Making the worst day of your life, a little less stressful".
