Todd went above and beyond and being in Columbus, Ohio and not in Florida, made our situation even more difficult. Todd ensured we got my father’s death certificate after having to jump through hoops. He made a very sad life event much more tolerable. I’m really not even sure where to start….Todd (the funeral director) and his staff at Gallaher American Family Funeral Home were such a blessing during the unexpected passing of my father this past week. They went above and beyond to help our family through the process of dealing with and planning for our sudden loss. You always know that you will deal with loss someday but nothing can prepare you for it…it’s numbing and the grief is so real…it’s hard to think, it’s hard to keep going let alone plan a funeral and take care of all the little things like applying for a death certificate, finding funds (Social Security) to help cover all the costs or in my case transporting my father back to Ft. Myers since he passed while on a camping trip while out of town. Todd made the process so much easier with his wealth of knowledge and sincere and caring demeanor. Our family will be forever grateful to Todd and his staff for everything they have provided during this difficult time. I hope that none of you will ever be in my shoes but if you are…do yourself a favor and reach out to them…you will thank yourself later!

My father recently was put on Hospice care. I have e mailed a few funeral establishments for pricing to get my father back to michigan upon his passing, where he has already pre planned his arrangements years ago. My wife passed relatively suddenly and at a younger age. I found Gallaher American Family on Google, using the references to guide me to make a choice. It was the right choice. They were very professional, understanding and responsive. No attempts to "sell", only attempts to be helpful and responsive. I found the total experience with them to be "top drawer" and one filled with mutual respect. They really went the distance at a time when a person really needs the extra attention and help with details. This isn't the kind of reference where one says that they will be back, but I fully support them as a great service provider in Ft. Myers. The costs were reasonable, the help was beyond normal and total honesty throughout the process.

The only thing worse than the treatment we got from Gallaher was the death of our Loved One. Stay away from here.

We had the best experience with this company. We recently dealt with a death in the family & my father was unable to deal with the executor duties and left me in charge. I was a bit nervous & have never dealt with the death of a close family member. I was in shock, scared, emotional and just a pure mess. Gallaher took every opportunity to make this the easiest and least stressful experience. They talked me through everything, took their time with me, were extremely supportive, gentle & understanding.. They had my family's best interest at heart and i cannot recommend them enough. My father passed away while on vacation in Fort Myers. Not being prepared for that, I was very happy I called this funeral home. Jack, the funeral director was very nice and helped me through the process, I'm pretty young and have no idea what I'm doing. They handled everything in a timely and caring manner. My fathers ashes were sent to me out of state, they arrived in perfect condition in the urn I picked out. I never felt pressured and felt their costs to be very reasonable.
