I have used this location for my father when he passed a few years ago. At that time I had an excellent experience throughout the process. I am currently in the process of planning another service for my father in law and this experience has been rough from the start. We have waited for service for hours and the only time I seem to get quick service is when I was prepared to pay the deposit. The funeral director "Mely" I believe decided it was appropriate to speak rudely to my sister in law and act as though we are a an inconvenience to them. So far I am highly upset at the lack of professionalism especially during such a sensitive time. I would not recommend anyone use these services until they learn compassion and how to properly work with people. Update: after speaking with Marge , we were able to clear up the issues and everything went smoothly. I really appreciated how Bob handled everything and the amount care and attention to detail reminiscent of when they handled my father's funeral. I would give 5 stars but the initial problem does not justify stats. Overall they worked hard to right the wrongs and I felt like they were providing me a service.

Our family's services were outstanding. Several of my family members are laid to rest here. Grandparents, Aunt. Cousin. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Recently my father was laid to rest. His service was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my sister and I had everything we needed for the ceremony and the guests. **Please do NOT use this funeral home and ESPECIALLY do NOT pre-pay your loved ones funerals!!! They mysteriously lose contracts so that they don't have to provide the services due. And if you don't have the paperwork to prove it, it's your loss (besides the heartache and loss of your loved one). The funeral home is shady, there are tons of staff who have elaborate titles, but you don't get to speak with them. Then, other people posing to be in charge take their call. Note:** I don't even wish to give them one star but this review site won't let you post a review until you do.

I don't have any words besides this staff, especially Mely and Matt, are absolutely amazing human beings. I have no idea how they do what they do for work, but they were truly a blessing in such a trying time this weekend. I would recommend this funeral home and cemetery to anyone and everyone that is dealing with a loss. In such an unfortunate circumstance, this place truly made a beautiful service and helped a great deal in all the arrangements.

I lost my son tragically on 03/01/2019 due to an accident. It was sudden, unexpected, and heart wrenching. I really didn't know where to turn, or how to go about things. A woman with the medical examiner's office suggested that I contact my local (I do not live in FL) funeral home and see if they would contract with somewhere in FL where my son passed. I did this and I was introduced to Becky who is the funeral director at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. She walked me through the process, arranged my son's cremation and I hate to say this but "shipping"; was there for every question that came up-even after normal business hours. It just seemed like she was always near her phone, cheerful and intelligent. Honest and compassionate. She arranged also the death certificates and even a help line was attached to the condolence card she mailed. It hurts so much and she just made the process less than painful. My Mom chose this funeral home for my Dad’s unexpected passing based on her experience at attending a funeral there. Our experience was amazing if you can use that word for such sad circumstances but suffice it to say My Mother pre-purchased her plot next to my Dad. Everything is very organized and runs smoothly. These guys definitely know what they are doing and came through on every single promise made. Even the way my Dad looked at his viewing was impressive to me based on comparing them to other family members who have died. He looked just like himself which is what we really wanted. The attention to detail on every level down to color coordinating the table cloths to match the setting. We also used them for the repast after the funeral. People are still calling my Mom to rave about the food. They had a decorated display in the repast room that covered everything my Dad was interested in doing. I didn’t know that was going to be done and it was very impressive. They go over and beyond on every measurable aspect and it is so appreciated by the grieving family members left behind. I can tell you they will get lots of business from the people who were in attendance at that funeral. I just want to state Daniel was amazing and his support for my Mom on the day of the funeral was so appreciated-he even took her by the hand and walked her down the aisle. Jon is also amazing-he graciously stepped in to lead at the graveside when our priest was unable to make it. Well done guys-you made an unexpected and stressful event have the best outcome possible. I’m so happy my Mom chose you.

Very professional and respectful of your situation. I decided to have my dad’s funeral service and cremation with them and I couldn’t have asked for a better treatment. Dereck and Becky took care of me and my family and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The price is worth of the service your loved one gets. Since the day my dad passed they took care of everything. The only thing that was a little off is that they misspelled my dad’s name on his urn, but as soon as we noticed they put an order for a new one immediately. I am very happy that I decided to have funeral services for my dad with forest lawn in Davie.

My mom's wish was to be cremated upon her death, but no pre-arrangements had been made. When the time of her passing came, I was not really sure where to turn for her cremation, but I thought of Forest Lawn, as my family has been long-time residents of Fort Lauderdale and we were familiar with the funeral home's location. My mother passed around 6AM, and I reached out to Forest Lawn around 9AM with initial questions about the cremation process. The receptionist was sympathetic and kind, took my basic information, and advised me that a funeral director would be in touch with me shortly. Within 15 minutes, I was contacted by Rebeca Comes, who turned out to be absolutely amazing. She was extremely compassionate and immediately put my mind at ease that my mom would be in wonderful hands with her overseeing our arrangements. She thoroughly explained the cremation process to me and the cost, and as I wanted my mom removed from the hospital as soon as possible, she said she would follow-up with the hospital as soon as we hung up and update me on the process. Within 10 minutes, Rebeca called me back after speaking with the hospital and assured me that their team was on its way to the hospital to get my mom. She then called me later that morning to let me know my mom was in their care and we then made an appointment for my family to come to the funeral home later that afternoon to make the final arrangements. When we arrived, we were met by a very kind greeter and waited no more than five minutes to meet with Rebeca and her associate. They talked us through the cremation process and the cost/contract and presented us with options for an urn. They were extremely patient with us. Within a very short time, everything was done and completed, and we walked out with such a sense of contentment that our mom/wife could not be in any better hands than these fabulous people. Over the next few days, Rebeca kept me informed on everything related to the process, and once the cremation happened and my mother's ashes were ready for pick up, we were once again met with kindness and caring from Rebeca, as she gave us time to be with my mom in their chapel and then proceeded with us to our car to make sure my mom's urn was securely buckled in. I truly cannot express how deeply satisfied and touched my dad, sister, and I were by Rebeca, her associates, and the care of Forest Lawn.

Forest Lawn in West Seattle made sure everything was done correctly and well for our mother. Really enjoyed and TRUSTED the people who assisted with her arrangements. I would highly recommend them. If there was an issue, they made it right. If there was something to be dropped off outside their regular business hours, they arranged to have someone there. It is vitally important to have this kind of customer service at such a difficult time.

In our grief of losing our son we were so comforted by the funeral home. Kindness extended from the receptionist to our director, Amanda and Arthur. Professional services and above and beyond help were given. Nobody wants to bury a child so I was so grateful for their guidance and compassion.
