I want to thank Matthew and Longwood Funeral Home. We just buried our mother this past week. We could not have asked for a more respectful, professional, and supportive experience. Losing a loved one is tough. No one wants to go through extra stress of making arrangements during this time. Matt took care of everything for us in a kind and compassionate way. Thank you Matt.

I would definitely recommend Longwood Funeral Home, and specifically, Matt, the owner, to anyone who loses a loved one and is looking for a funeral home that offers high quality professional care by a compassionate individual. I recently lost my 89-year-old mom. I had contacted Matt 3 years ago in preparation for the inevitable day when my mom would pass. Matt greeted me with a warm smile and spent almost an hour with me going over all of the options that is offered at Longwood and filling out all of the necessary forms. My mom passed away in the evening and I called Longwood and left a message. Within 15 minutes, Matt called me back and assured me that he would immediately go to the hospice facility and be with the body when the coroner arrived. (I did not want to be there for that). The next day, I met with Matt and he had already transported my mom's body and had secured the death certificate. As I live out of town, Matt assured me that he would do the cremation immediately and send the ashes to me right away. He lived up to his word. I cannot say enough about Matt and Longwood Funeral Home.... a top-notch, first-rate funeral home.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The space itself is lovely, and the staff, especially Matthew, are incredibly respectful, compassionate, and professional. Especially recommended when a veteran passes, as Matt, a veteran himself, has served all members of the Armed Forces for more than twenty years and can immediately understand an aspect of the deceased that many others might not be able to, and adjust the service accordingly. While assigned to Dover Port Mortuary and in civilian practice, all deceased personnel were honorable bestowed their entitled final tribute. It was an honor to have my father laid to rest by such a competent, compassionate team of professionals.

Matthew Genereux is an independent funeral home director who treats his customers with respect and honesty. He is very cordial and friendly in conversation, not at all grim in demeanor. When we were planning ahead for my father's funeral in 2016, Matthew was very helpful. He understood the particulars of the local cemetery as well as the logistics necessary to secure a military bugle and flag presentation. To his credit, he did not attempt to oversell us on unnecessary procedures or services in contrast to another funeral home we had consulted. Matthew fully respects and abides by the tenets of the Federal Trade Commission "Funeral Rule" which protects consumers. The prices he charged were reasonable and fair. The burial service went very smoothly and he was well prepared. I would recommend his services based on my experience.
