Jon's role as officiant at Dad’s service was everything I know Dad would’ve wanted - he was respectful and professional, and the service was meaningful but low-key. And although my dad, an honorably-discharged Army National Guard veteran, did not have a military burial per se, Jon made sure we had a flag for Dad’s casket, which he assisted in folding and presenting to my mother. It was so meaningful to our family how well everything was handled.

This is business that isn't just business. It is a family operation and the upmost care, concern and empathy is shown by John and his amazing family. It's comfortable, non intrusive and most importantly, the goal isn't to get your money at the hardest of times, their goal is to have a celebration of life that is done with integrity, class and compassion. Whenever my time is up, I can only hope that I am treated with the grace and class that they have for everyone they come into contact with. A model of what business should be!

Losing a loved one is hard. Dealing with arrangements and assurance of proper care only adds to the stress. The Hallfords removed all stress and concerns allowing my family to simply grieve. Their service is amazing and conducted themselves in a professional, warm, family like manner. We are very grateful we chose their business.

Thank you for the care and attention you showed to my family and friends at the death of my sister, from the retrieval of her body to her funeral. The 'green burial' was just what she had wanted. The shroud and strewn rose petals were a beautiful touch. Her friends said it was the best funeral they had ever attended. You transformed a difficult time into an inspiring occasion.

Best funeral home ever. They've been instrumental in helping me dispose of dozens of bodies in a safe, ecofriendly, discreet manner, and they've never asked a single time about all those missing kidneys.

When We recently lost our father, we did not know where to begin the process of planning for his funeral. We had not discussed his wishes prior to his passing and were grieving. Our hospice nurse recommended Return to Nature and we were so thankful. John, Jack and the staff were so helpful, thoughtful and kind. The day we arrived, they had a memorial plaque for our father and were flying the Air Force flag in memory of his service. They helped to guide us through all the steps and made everything so easy. The funeral was beautiful and well planned. And the cost was very reasonable. They assisted at the funeral to look after all the details - I just don’t know what we would have done without them. The staff at Return to Nature afforded us the opportunity to focus on remembering my father and celebrating his life and to not be bogged down with the details of the funeral and burial. For that we will always be grateful. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Planning a funeral is one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do. With my mom in hospice, I had kind of looked around a bit, but just couldn’t bring myself to do serious planning. But when it became clear that my mom was going to pass soon, I actually called a couple of places. The first place directed me back to their website, saying that it could answer all my questions. No, it really couldn’t. Then I called Return to Nature and spoke to Carie. She was kind and compassionate, and when I had a question she didn’t know the answer to, she said she’d have her husband, Jon, call me right back. And he really did call me right back. And he couldn’t have been nicer or more patient. I was sobbing the whole time, completely disorganized and unprepared, but he said, “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of everything.” And they did. My mom hung on for several days longer than anyone expected, but when she did pass, it still somehow surprised me, and I was all alone. I called hospice, then my sister, then Jon. He provided the calm reassurance I wasn't getting from anyone else. He and Carie showed up exactly on time (as directed by hospice), driving a dignified little SUV-crossover type of vehicle. Not a big, scary hearse. They were so patient and kind. I knew my mom would have approved of them. They were so careful and gentle with her, as if she were still alive. They told me to take all the time I needed. Then they gently loaded her up and slowly drove away. Not having to watch a hearse leaving made a HUGE difference to me. The funeral was beautiful. I was late (yes, to my mom's funeral!), but Jon reassured me that everything was okay, and he had somehow kept my crazy family and Fort Logan staff calm. At my family’s request, Jon spoke, and I swear, you’d think he was kinfolk. The whole experience really was more like having someone in our family handle it than a “funeral home.” It really felt personal. A lot of people who see death regularly become hardened. But I really feel like Jon and Carie somehow manage to continue to see each person as unique and special, and they still empathize, knowing that no matter how common death is, each death is a fresh tragedy to that family. Having my mom taken care of by people like that was, and continues to be, immeasurably comforting to me. I hope this will be the only funeral I ever have to arrange, but I would 100% recommend Return to Nature.

Return to Nature Burian and Cremation provides a very loving environment for anyone that walks through their doors. This is an all natural burial and crematory service, so no embalming fluid. They also provide access to biodegradable products. Each family is treated as an individual family. As someone that hasn't dealt with death and dying much, I learned so much about the field and the company when I visited there. This family run business truly cares about their families and do their best to honor the deceased. I feel that every person at Return to Nature has a calling to be there.

This is a very friendly and well run family business and it shows. They were very helpful when my brother passed away. I don't currently live in Colorado. But they took care of everything from Houston where I am at and couldn't have been better to my family and I. Obviously losing a loved one is extremely difficult and the way they went out of their way to make everything as easy as possible was a blessing. Thank you Jon and Carrie and Barbara. We are forever grateful

If you are reading this, unfortunately you have lost a loved one and no words can express how that feels. But believe us when we say that Jon and his team could not have been any more kind, caring, helpful and comforting when we contacted him about our son, Chris, who passed away end of October. We live in St. Louis, MO, and when we found out on a Friday early afternoon that our son was gone, we started making calls to funeral homes in Colorado Springs. When we spoke with Jon, we just knew this was the place to go. Jon first made sure that he got Chris from the coroner before they closed for the weekend. When we traveled to town and met with Jon on Sunday morning, his attention to our needs and his providing all the useful information we would need to navigate the "business" aspect of taking care of bank accounts, car title, etc. was thorough and understandable. But what was the best thing was his genuine concern and empathy for our loss and his assurance that he was available 24/7 if we had any questions or needed anything. Our son had a full autopsy and Jon explained he would spend the whole Monday morning with Chris so we could visit/view Monday afternoon. Overall, Jon's charges were less than the others we had called and his "product" delivered was exceptional. Chris looked so peaceful and like himself, and in the viewing room, Jon had placed a buddha statue (we shared that Chris graduated recently with degree in Philosophy and studied/was very interested in buddhism) along with christian cross on table near Chris. If you do have a need for a funeral home's services, we whole-heartedly recommend Jon/Return to Nature.

Mom passed August 2018. The directors and staff were very patient with us, answered all of our questions, and gave us great advice on what to do. They treated mom with the utmost care and respect. She served in the Women's Army Corp in the 70s and they displayed a flag in her honor. I highly recommend this funeral home. They will treat you and your family right.
