My Father died in 1991 and we buried him at Crown Hill in a family plot that was purchased in 1921. Paula Coulter Ted Coulter with the assistance of their attorneys John Berman and JoAnne Goddard pulled an elaborate scam to defraud Mrs. Coulter out of all her assets and estate and to top matters off, when she died, they filed fraudulent documents with the Court and within 24 hrs, with the approval of Olinger Crown Hill, they desecrated my Father's remains by digging him up and moving him to Florence Colorado. There was no hearing, no notice and the Court had no Jurisdiction or Authority but that didn't stop Olinger Crown Hill from digging up his remains in violation of Colorado Statutes and the contracts when the lots were purchased.. These acts are shameless and to date they have not done or said anything even though they are well aware of the circumstances.

This review is only for the event that The Compassionate Friends held, The World Wide Candle Lighting this past December 9th, 2018. I cannot say enough praise for all the help that was given to us in planning, decorating, video, music, programs and support from Ralph Parrinello, Amanda LoPrinzi and Emma Dowell, these three people went above and beyond to make a beautiful event for 150 people who are struggling with the loss of children, grandchildren and siblings, and I look forward to planning next years candle lighting with them. This review does not apply to the cemetery or how it is maintained.

It has kind of gone down hill in past couple of years. Roads are not maintained very well. Potholes that are half assed patched. Tons of sunken graves, broken bases on headstones. You would think with all the money they make that they could invest some into maintaining the roads and grounds better? Dissappointed in the way they have grounds keeping pick up flowers on a bunch of major holidays wirhout getting a special tag from the office to leave them on family members monuments. I will fix my review and give 5 ☆ if and when they start repairing roads, etc...

Last April, my husband passed away. My 2 daughters and son-in-law met with a sales rep. We already had plots, so I was purchasing the headstone and vase, opening, closing, etc. The rep kept disappearing and what to me should have taken at max 2 hours, took 1/2 a day. When we were selecting a design for the headstone, she said there was only one book and that she had to look for that. We finally selected a design, vase, and wording on headstone. She said that I would have a draft of the design within a couple of weeks. When I had not heard from her in three, I tried to contact her. I kept getting the brushoff. I finally reached her, and she told me that I would be receiving an e-mail of the draft that day. I received the e-mail, and the design was not even the one that we had selected. Also the wording was incorrect. Needless to say, I was very upset. I called and left a message, and was never contacted. My daughter and I then went in person to talk with someone the following Monday. We had been reassigned to Mike to fix the problem. He admitted, that the ball had been dropped. We had to start from scratch. The graveside service was scheduled very soon. We had to put a rush on everything. Thanks to Mike, we were able to have the service on the assigned date. However, we had to go with a different color for the headstone in order to do that. My family has been doing business with Crown Hill for over 50 years, and I have 10 immediate family members buried there. During the last year, we have gone to the cemetery monthly to place flowers on various gravesites. Every time I arrive at the cemetery and go into the office to pick up vases for two sites that do not have vases, I am greeted by a woman who sits on the left side of the desk. She always says in an extremely rude voice, May I help you!! She acts like I am trying to steal something and glares at me until I have picked up the vases and am leaving. Each time, I tell her I am there for the plastic vases. She is extremely unprofessional in both demeanor and appearance. Other family members have told me the same thing. The way I feel at this point, I seriously could not recommend Crown Hill to anyone. This is really sad since in the past, Crown Hill was always considered the premier cemetery in Denver.

Melinda Acevedo and staff did an excellent job helping to make the arrangements for my fathers funeral. During the process she as well as the staff that helped during the day of the funeral were very patient, caring and always available to take care of our needs. They listened to our needs to ensure the funeral was what we wanted and it turned out very nice. Thank you for all the hard work and caring during this time. Definitely will be using them again.

The service turned out beautifully and was very well done. I highly suggest the funeral services provided at this facility. My only complaint was the lady out in charge of helping me Erin Barker was rude and completely used the inappropriate tone in all interactions. She is not suited for this line of work and I had to ask to have her replaced or no longer use the facility it was that bad. on a brighter note the manager took over and made the service a great experience. My husband recently passed away. Our family had no idea how to handle this situation, but we had driven by Crown Hill Cemetery on Wadsworth for years, so decided to have these folks help us. From the transporting of the body from a local skilled nursing facility to the final memorial service, all the staff at Olinger Mortuary & Cemeteries were professional and very kind. Every step of the way was seamless and well thought out. Two staff members were extraordinary, the funeral director, Zoe Underwood, and the Celebrant, Trish Leary. I really can't say enough about these two women: Zoe took us through the entire process with expertise and compassion; she arranged everything from the cremation to the food and drink at the reception. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Trish Underwood was simply the best Celebrant one could ask for. She was creative and accurate in her presentation, and included all the children and grandchildren in the service, as well as following the families wishes. Many people who attended the service made it a point to tell me that it was the best Celebration of Life service they had ever attended. Our family owes all the staff our sincere gratitude.

Crown Hill Cemetery is serene and peaceful. Truly a place of sensitivity when the time comes. The cemetery is next to Crown Hill Park which is a sanctuary for comfort and a place to take a moment and perhaps go for a walk. The view is incredible you can see the mountains as you walk around the lake.

I was a caregiver for my uncle, so I was involved in every aspect of his life this past year. My uncle wanted to have everything arranged before his death, so we met with Denise to make all the prearrangements. She was very kind and walked us through the whole process, showing us all the options. She broke down all the expenses and explained what each charge was for. When my uncle passed this last week, my sister and I went back to arrange the time, location, etc. Everyone there is so understanding and sympathetic. All of our needs were met right down to the smallest details. I have many more family members who are already buried there. I would definitely recommend them in your greatest time of need.

Horrible! The staff was very cold and insensitive during our experience with Crown Hill. They waited 2 months to inform me that there was a problem with my baby's headstone. It took another two weeks to finally get someone to respond and correct the problem. Needless to say six months later we are still waiting.

She went above and beyond to have the military provide honors for my dad when the military liaison said it could not be done- she made it happen. Normally the grounds of the cemetery look great, but today it looks awful. The majority of the grass is dead and many of the graves are in disrepair. Very disappointing. I hope someone goes out and checks to make sure the sprinkler system is working properly.

Ask for Donna, she works weekend and makes it all clear. However she handles contracts not the casket and other content. We went in as a group of 12 after a loss in the family. They helped set everything up for each of us: Marker (Grave stone), casket color, flowers or not, cremation or not, what the hospital should do, what kind of insurance or payment plan you want, the whole deal. It's simplified just don't expect to be out in an hour, take a day to do this. (Obviously common sense). I may come off as insentive but I'm not, this is a big deal. You dont want to leave your family in debt with a few grand or wondering what way you wanted to be buried. You may be 27 or 64. It's never to late and do it soon. I only gave a 4/5 because on your part you need to be smart and keep receipts and be on top of your contracts, (Insurance and Lot/Market etc.). I hope this helps.

My family is all buried at Crown Hill, with plots that have been purchased for us survivors to be buried next to them. I would really like to know why Olinger is allowing the grass to completely burn up. I would really like to know how and when this is gonna be rectify. I find his completely unacceptable. You have allow this beautiful cemetery to turn to pot. This isn't a very kind way to honor those who are buried there and is heartbreaking for those who are forced to look at this mess when visiting those who are deeply missed. Wake up! It's time to spend the money to fix this problem, immediately!

They literally have the worst insensitive staff I have ever seen! You would think staff that work in cemeterys would be at least humble and sensitive to their clients but that is all wrong about this place.

When my father passed away in September, he had left clear instructions that he wished to be cremated, but the rest was up to us, his family. He believed in God but did not belong to a church. We wanted to have a Celebration of Life, but not a church-based funeral. Our cremation advisor recommended Susan Watson, a funeral celebrant associated with Olinger Crown Hill. We called her and found in Susan even more than we had hoped to find. She met with my siblings and me and our spouses to discuss our thoughts and preferences. But here was the best part. She offered to call other family members we could suggest who would like to share memories. She contacted them by phone, had conversations with all, and then drafted a wonderful description of my father, events in his life, and memories from all of us. This was the largest part of the Celebration; she spoke for over 30 minutes, but it felt much shorter. She attributed the memories to the individuals who had shared them. It was OK to laugh. She struck all the right notes in leading the celebration of life gathering. Some of us got up to speak during the service, but we were happy that memories from all of us, even those unable to come or uncomfortable speaking in front of a group, were part of the service. It could not have been better or more comforting. My Dad would have loved it. I warmly recommend Susan Watson to anyone who needs this type of service at a time of loss.

This place is amazing. My little girl passed away and they took such good care of her and made her look amazing. They took care of every detail. The pavilion is a beautiful place to hold a service for your loved one. And there chapel is beautiful. They use rocky mountain for there food and it was delicious. I would recommend this place because the prices are very reasonable. Alvin worked with us and was so compassionate. Definitely ask for him.

I went to my mother's gravesite Sunday. There were about 15 people there around a new grave. Men were sitting on the headstones of other graves and boys in their mid to late teens were playing football and running on the graves. When I said something a woman made them quit, so they went to the street and played. Was disruptive; I couldn't spend time there, among other reasons they unnerved me.

I lost my fiancé of 2 ½ years this March, and it's been truly the most awful experience that I think one could go through. Thankfully through the whole process everyone has treated both me and the whole family very well. We had the memorial service at Chapel Hill down in Littleton, and he was cremated at this location as it is where the crematory is located. Everyone at both locations really did care that we had the best experience they could give us, which really helps the beginning of the whole healing process. Their experience and knowledge in this business allowed them to be very helpful in the planning of everything, but it was seeing how much they actually did care that I feel really made everything come out as well as it did.
