REVIEWS OF Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home IN Colorado

We were not too happy. We specifically requested certain items for our mother's funeral service, and the funeral home forgot two major pieces and tried to put the mistake on us. Then we requested, a small container of ashes for my brother, and they forgot that also.

This has been our first experience with Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home. and I am really glad thatwe chose you. I will recommend to anyone who asks and am glad we chose you all. Thank especially John who had the ability to achieve a workable schedule with numerous spot changes that we incurred.

Supposedly there are a lot of people here. I live next door and have never seen any of them. It's like they live underground or something...

I want to thank Memorial Gardens for the great job that they did for my Mom's memorial service. They honored to the letter a contract that was purchased in the 1970's by my parents. They were very professional and were very patient with us during the process. Jenn helped in so many ways and went the extra mile to help us understand all the options. Thanks again to Memorial Gardens for handling the entire process with dignity and grace. It was indeed a celebration of a life well lived. Thanks again...Ken and Kris Rose

Staff lacks communication, organization and attention to detail. Experienced several issues during the planning of my mother’s funeral and post burial.

I had put off dealing with my parents ashes for quite a while before I finally decided it was time to have them placed someplace. It's one of those things we all just dread doing, I guess. When I did build up my resolve, and I chose this place for many aesthetic reasons. The first person I dealt with, Terry, gave me a tour and a thorough understanding of costs and such. He was absolutely wonderful - supportive, kind, gentle and while I know these places make their living by selling - I never felt pressured at all. He then had me speak with his boss, Tom. He was also really great to talk to. When I went back to make my final decision, I brought my sister along to get her approval. Terry could not be there due to a family emergency, which is unfortunate, as I really liked working with him. But I could not do it another time due to the logistics of getting my sister here to help me make the final decisions. So another rep, John stepped up to actually do the contract and such. He too was wonderful. These folks made the experience the best that it could be, given that this sort of thing is not something any of us really want to do. The grounds are always clean and well kept. Lovely flowers during times of year that such is possible. I was really pleased with how we were treated, and the place we ended up placing mom and dad.

My mom stays here in the wall... I like that it's open 24 hours a day but its location made it very difficult when I was in the stage of grief of denial because it's quite hard to deny when you pass it twice a day everyday so other than that they keep the grounds good and clean and are respectful of the person that passed and treat their family with respect from what I have seen.

It was a nice service but very unorganized.we asked that there be no carnations on the spread for the casket and guess what, there was carnations! I asked for a ribbon that said grandmother on it, there was no ribbon! I asked for a certain song to be played, the song was never played, I never heard it. Sorry but I think it was very unprofessional

I was absolutely shocked at how dishonest the staff is at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home on Airport Rd in Colorado Springs! When you lose someone you love, you hope to be treated (at least fairly) and NOT scammed while actually going through the grieving process. This review is not about money, we ended up going somewhere else. This review is about honesty and this business has NONE. From the start, they never actually delivered on what they promised... their prices changed, their policies changed...all based on what they could charge. If we asked a direct question, they avoided a direct...or honest answer. When we went to confirm our arrangements, nothing was as they said it would be to begin with...and the director couldn't even remember what he actually told us. These people have a COMPLETE LACK OF EMPATHY. I would not recommend this experience to anyone. It actually makes me sick to think about it. I very rarely take the time to write a review but I strongly felt that others should be made aware when it comes to something so personal and tragic as burying a loved one.

They're as nice as you can be during something as difficult as losing a loved one. The facility is warm and inviting. I think the thing I dislike the most which I'm sure this is very common with most funeral homes is that they literally charge you for any and everything they possibly can don't expect to be able memorialize your family in any way special or unique without spending a lot of money. $1500 is about what I'm paying for the bare minimums as in no services no obituaries no online memorial nothing but my mothers ashes in a plastic box.

Rob DeKemper

Great and caring staff! Everyone was very friendly and patient. Could not ask for a better experience considering the situation. Thank you so much for helping our family in such a difficult time.

We chose Memorial Gardens, again, to care for our family during the difficult time preparing for arrangements after the passing of our Mother. They were compassionate, caring, and professional assisting with all stages of the service and final resting of our loved one . Alex was our director assisting our family from start to finish. He was kind, patient & understanding, and made every effort to ensure we had everything taken care of. My Mom's service was perfect, Thank you Memorial Gardens & staff from our family to yours.

I found your website to be very poor in the area of finding a grave in your cemetery. I drove all the way from Missouri to find a grave that I know the location of (GD 062 B 004) and could not find it because you do not have a directory of where graves are located in the cemetery. There was also no way to call someone for help. In this day and age of people trying to find their "roots" I would think that a cemetery of your size would have this information readily available.
