Shawn and the rest of the Callahan-Edfast team knew exactly how to make a very difficult situation much less complicated for us, and they handled it all with total professionalism and sincere care and sensitivity for all involved. I am from California andI I had made my fathers funeral arrangements several years ago after discussing his wishes. Shortly before he passed away recently, I realized that I had forgotten who I made pre arrangements with and mistakenly went to Callahan- Edfast .I discovered my mistake when they indicated they had no record of our prearrangement. As I blundered my way through this, I found the staff so professional, compassionate, and well organized that our family decided to stop looking where we were previously registered and stay with them. That turned out to be a great choice in every way! They facilitated and handled the complicated, multi-step process of getting a death certificate, arranging a service, providing us with supportive information and even designing and printing the bulletin for dad’s Celebration of Life. They also completely coordinated with the VA cemetery and arranged for an honorable military service which I know would have made our dad very proud. I cannot over praise the responsiveness and how easily we were “coached” along, especially by Shawn Callahan, who took our administrative burden away which let us process our sadness as a family. I strongly recommend them.

We went there to set up arrangements for a loved one who had passed. Right off the bat we were met at the door and told they couldn't meet with us cause they were having a service in 10 mins. And there were nobody to meet with us. And to think just last year I chose them to do my dads funeral services and spent a lot of $ on it. Wow. And for many years we as a family have been told this is where our family has always held funeral services. Well not anymore. Staff needs to be more considerate and more professional. Retraining perhaps.

We cannot begin to express our heartfelt thanks, gratitude, and just plain love to everyone at Callahan over the past few weeks as they helped us plan the funeral for our beloved husband, father, and papa, George W. Reid. Everyone, and most especially Shawn Connors, was available to us at every turn, phone call, or email to answer our questions and help with our concerns. As difficult as it was to say goodbye, Callahan made it bearable because of their outpouring of love for all of us. We feel as though they are family. One of the afternoons that we were at Callahan, my elderly mom's car wouldn't start. Shawn and another man (I think Gary is his name) cleaned the battery cables and posts that were very corroded, and then charged the battery with one of their own vehicles. They did everything but wash the windshield!! Thanks so much to everyone at Callahan-Edfast for making a sad time in our lives bearable and coming alongside and loving us in your special way.

The caring people at Callahan-Edfast were so helpful for my family after the delivery of our stillborn daughter. They answered every question, gave us all the time we needed, and made sure that we knew they truly cared. I will never forget hearing the words "Your daughter is in our care."
