The loss of my mother was enormous but I found unimaginable comfort in Smith Family and Staff. Just walking into the funeral home honestly, felt like coming home to family. Craig and Jim were a great comfort when they came for my mom. They gave my family and I all the time we needed with Mother, an important moment in my life that I will always remember. We were given extra special attention by Vicki as we planned my mother's service. She saw us through every little detail, above and beyond our expectations. It meant so much that Emory came to check with me, before receiving family and friends for visitation, making sure my mom was perfect and she was! Richard took care of us through the service attending to all the details. Brent made for us a remarkable, Celebration of Life video. We simply told him what music we wanted and gave him family photos. With that he took pictures of nature that coincided with the words we had written about our mother and produced a beautiful, visual story, to be forever cherished. Truly remarkable! I can not think of one thing that could have made my mother's service more meaningful. Not one. It was absolutely beautiful and heart warming. Thank you, Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home for a beautiful celebration of my mother's life. My family and I will be forever grateful for the special care you gave us. Mary Ann Parker

We have had the most compassionate and carying people to help us with the service of my mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law's funerals. Both of my in-laws died in our home; the driver who picked up their remains was in no hurry and told us to stay with them as long as we wished. We were allowed to personalize the program in every detail; we added a family picture on the back of each program, and they were given to visitors at the visitation. At no time were we rushed to leave, we were treated with respect and we were checked on repeatedly to see if we needed anything. The driver of the family car, Brent Hill, made a special effort to make the day as pleasant as possible. Thank you for rendering the best of care to our family members and to those remaining.

Went to a funeral on may 4 or 5 of this year for a friend. The people working during visitation were nice and fridndly but the short lady that handled the service went and turned the tv off where they show the person's info. And then before the service started she tried to close the casket. They basicly rushed the service and when we got to the burial spot they rushed it and didnt ask anyone if they wanted to speak there or at the service. She then went and started picking up the arrangements and said thaf concludes the service before that. I was watching her and she was off talking to herself looking like she was the exorcist. I wouldnt recommend this place or having her involved with your loved one's service etc. Very disappointed.....

Personal, caring service made our family feel as though there were no other clients but us. Never rushed or pressured, we could not have asked for more.

My Father died six weeks after he was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. My sister and I made all the funeral arrangements the day my father died. Looking back now, the attendants at NLR Funeral Home probably thought my sister and I were very naive, and they were right! Everyone, from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, were extremely polite and understanding and comforting. We had no idea what we were doing and we were loving guided by the directors. My Father was cremated and at the last minute Mother and sister wanted to see Dad on last time. They made this possible and of course, helped my mother begin her grieving. I realize we can't live forever and when it happens you feel so alone and lost. NLR Funeral Home really helped us through a difficult time and made the painful process a little easier to bear.

I wish I could rate them 10 stars - but I can't! My mom passed away in San Antonio, TX and they coordinated with another funeral home and solved problems the one in San Antonio couldn't and transported her body from San Antonio to Little Rock. The staff was so courteous and caring and went out of their way to make me feel everything was under control because the last thing I needed was stress during that time. Craig and Mandy took amazing care of me and were patient with me during my constant barrage of questions and concerns. Also, the way my mom looked was incredible. It's almost as if they knew how she had looked all her life and she looked so peaceful and natural. They dressed her in an outfit my wife picked out and put the jewelry on her in such a classy way. The graveside funeral itself was such a special time for our family and was exactly what we wanted. Billy was so caring, patient and compassionate. I could tell this was more than just a job for him - he really cares about people and God bless him! We never felt rushed or pressured. If you ever require their services (and I pray it's a VERY long time before you do) this is the place you need to call. Thanks so much Smith Funeral Home for a job amazingly done!

Such a wonderful place to send off a loved one. From beginning to end, this funeral home is caring, courteous, timely, and most importantly loving. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. Thank you so much to all the staff!

We lost my father to cancer about two years ago. Though it's taken me a while to get around to reviewing them, NLR Funeral Home was amazing. Emory took great care of me and helped me make all the right choices for our budget and the things that we thought my dad would have wanted. He even helped me select a thumbie - a personalized piece of jewelry to commemorate my dad's passing - that has his initials and thumbprint on it. It's a nice reminder of my dad that I wear to this day. My dad was always hard to pick things out for. NLR made it easy to figure things out during a very difficult time. I was very happy with their service and have recommended them to family and friends ever since - since so few people take the time to really understand your needs after a loved one's death, it's really nice to know there's a business out there that still does this. Thank you, NLR. God bless.

When the time comes to use the services of the funeral home. You will be glad you choose the pros. Preplan so they can take the burden away from your family. Its the best inheritance you can leave.

They took care of the lady I was the caregiver to. Brent Hill and another gentleman came to pick up her body. I am a Patriot Guard Rider. I know Brent from the missions i have been on at Smith-North Little Rock. He is ALWAYS kind and gentle with those he comes in contact with. The lady I cared for was more than just a client. She was like a second mother to me. I was extremely upset when she passed. But, as soon as I saw Brent I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I assured my sweet client’s husband that she was in the best hands. That she would be taken care of like she was part of the family. Thank you Brent Hill for making such a hard time much easier. Thank you Smith-North Little Rock for employing such a warm and loving staff. Darlene Fulton-Stone
