Shannon Lunsford

On behalf of the Lunsford family, I would like to thank Jennifer and Jim for their consistent and delicate care of us while grieving the sudden loss of our mother. They helped us through the entire process, assisting us in finding the most economical yet elegant way to honor our mother. They made themselves completely available. The entire staff was warm, friendly and exactly what we needed during that time. We are incredibly thankful to have been in their care and appreciate all they did. Thank you!

I can't say enough about Martha! She is amazing!!! She took the time to walk me through things I didn't understand, never tried to push me into anything and was supportive how how my dad wished to be honored. She never rushed me. I never felt like I was just an "appointment" or a customer. She answered all my questions tirelessly and listened to my oddball stories. I can't tell you how much I appreciate having your guidance, insight and support with me every step of the way. It was like talking to an old friend and not a funeral planner. I hope everyone gets to work with her.

The front desk ladies was rude, but redeemed her self. The landscaping was a mess and not kept up well.

We went to visit a grave for the first time this past summer. The latina lady at the reception desk was the worst receptionist in the history of Receptionist ever! Rude, rude and ruder. How is this woman still employed? She must be a relative to the owner. She made us wait and was almost mad we came in to ask for the grave. She took about half an hour to tell us where the grave was and never said it's going to be a few more minutes. She never I'm almost done or anything. Just an awful lady.

Just visited my Aunt's grave and the grounds look horrible. We were assured the grass around her headstone would grow in. Two years later, no grass, only weeds.

Much of our family members are at rest in different locations at Greenwood Memory Lawn which have seriously depreciated. We have called time & time again even after going to office in person that our Mother's memorial site is INFESTED with ants and spiders! This is after fighting office to replace flower vase that kept getting stolen too often. Grounds are in horrible condition as many lots have fallen in & so unsafe to walk. Head stones are unable to care for properly due to calcium build up. Heartbreaking to visit our family that Greenwood has ruined our trust to preserve remembrance. Maybe Gary Harper & his News Team will bring matters to attention to warn other families of the disgrace that Co. has shown.

Landscaping is good one visit & the next grass its yellow, dry & full of weeds. Not enough trash cans and water spouts are always off. Its like their expanding & building near 27 ave n roosevelt area but forgot about the other older areas of the cemetarys

I found the staff at Greenwood Memorial to have done an excellent job. They have gone out of their way to make it easier for me to cope with all you have to manage at the time of death of a loved one. This is the type of thing that really needs to happen. There are so many little things you really don't think about at the time. The Greenwood staff greatly helped guide me through the process of handling all of them. A mistake was made concerning the online memorial. The staff had it corrected almost immediately. A sign of really excellent service in my opinion. Mistakes can be made. The way they are corrected tells you much about who you are dealing with.

Giving one star is generous after what my family and I endured this last week burying my Grandma. Everything that could go wrong, just about did. Except for the casket we chose was gorgeous and the hair and makeup team did an absolute remarkable job-that one star is solely for them. Everything else was a circus show. The handling of the policy to pay for the service, the third company that called hours before the service (who never even called the insurance company)and made threats there would be no funeral if we didn’t fork over an additional $4,600, the lack of communication from the mortuary employees as to what we should be doing was beyond unprofessional. We have never done this before and it felt like we were completely on our own figuring it out. The day of the funeral, there was no Director helping my Mom while visitors were showing up. We told Melody we wanted music playing while people were gathering and she was literally nowhere to be found to get that set up. Again, no Director to let us know when we all needed to start making our way to the gravesite, where to go, when, nothing. We all stood out in 110 degree heat while one man set up all the flowers and all the pictures by himself and pallbearers were waiting to take my grandma from the hearse to the burial site for about 20 minutes. During the arrangements we also made it clear that family preferred to view the lowering of my Grandma’s casket. My sisters and I told Melody several different times we were ready and we still waited and waited. I’m still confused as to why we had to wait so long. Eventually some elderly family members left because it was too hot to wait any longer. Lastly and the most horrific, was while my family was still there at the gravesite, this huge tractor came rolling our way. Pummeling over surrounding graves and running over flowers that people have left for their loved ones. Behind them was an all terrain vehicle carrying shovels and buckets with workers on board. They made their way up to my Grandma’s grave and were setting up shop to lift her vault as if it was a construction site. I was mortified they couldn’t wait 15 more minutes for all of the family to leave so we didn’t have to witness that. The whole process is hard enough and to my family that was disrespectful and heart wrenching to see. With all of this, I hope anyone reading this has a much better experience than we did. In a time of sorrow and grievance the last thing you want to be put through is an experience like we had with Greenwood Memory/Lawn Dignity Memorial. Definitely no Dignity shown that day.

The grounds are not being kept up like they should. HUGE, dry grass spots. It’s a huge FIRE hazard and will most likely be calling city because of that. Horrible customer service. They need new management. No one inside their office knows what they are doing. One guy in there literally said he was setting the weeds on fire! Definitely going to catch on fire soon. And the conditions of the veteran cemetery? You guys should be ASHAMED.

Never a happy place for many reasons but to me it is nice to visit my parents in such a historical setting. This is where my mom would feel at home and my dad would be the happiest for eternity. I might not come as often as I used to so my visits are longer and more of a history lesson for my son. I hope I will rest here some day.....but not yet!

We have had our grandparents here since 1959 and second rites 7 years ago when we put my aunt to rest with grandma was $895, Now we are putting my father with his parents they are charging $1895 + 400 for a vault not required 7 years ago + 400 for digging fees and 400 for use of the Chapel. This is for plots paid for 70 years ago. This place is a disgrace and a rip off. I will be canonized before I come here.

We had the services at Greenwood Memory Lawn for my Father and the Staff was Amazing! They were very kind, patient and understanding which exactly what one would need when losing a loved one. I would like to personally thank Jennifer in the Mortuary who helped coordinate the services, Suzanne in the Main Office who helped with the pre-planning and finance portion and Mark who tended to our needs during the viewing. I highly recommend Greenwood!

So far all my family members are buried at Greenwood Cemetery. I dont think there is a more beautiful place for your family to rest at than Greenwood. The prices are comparison to other cemeteries, and most don't have as many trees. It's nice in Phoenix when it is hot out, to be a able to stand or sit under a shade tree when visiting someone you know at Greenwood. Thanks Greenwood for taking such good care of our families resting place.

Alan Mace was patient & understanding with my husband and myself. He wasn’t “pressuring “ us for more services than we were wanting. We were most appreciative of the way in which he conducted business. We’re happy with the services we purchased & feel assured you folks will do right by us.

Oh, it's a great place to rest in peace I tell ya. Been here for ages under the big ol canopy of the evergreens. Ain't nothing better then the smell of the dirt and sound of critters helping ya decompose. Occasionally I spook Billy, the little groundskeeper boy who used to poke at my grave. I know it's cruel, but I get the feeling he gets a rush out of it. Besides, later on in life he'll want some advice on life and stuff. Anyways, drop off your relatives anytime you want, I'll be one of the many to welcome them. But please, there's a limit to the pets they can bring.

I want to thank Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary for all that you provided my family during this traumatic incident. From the time we initially arrived until the completion of our services my family received nothing but total respect for the loss of my sister. I promise you that my family will be in touch with your business with our future endeavors. I want to thank Elijah Syverson for all the help and professionalism that he showed during this entire process. It's nice when a business puts the family first.. Once again thank you....

Melanie took excellent care of our family. Greenwood Lawn staff couldn't have been more kind in such an emotional time. They were so helpful and we never felt pressured to do something that we didn't want to do. We felt they took care of our father in the best way possible. We had the memorial at the chapel and it was perfect.

This cemetery is so unprofessional, they treat the family so horrible. For years we have had problems with them, we have tried to communicate professionally with the staff and they just do not care. I would suggest to anyone looking for a nice compassionate cemetery to bury your loved ones to not go here.

My Nana was buried here in 1963, then my Grandfather in the 1980's. My Mother's side of the family are also buried here, so we have a lot of history at this Beautiful Lawn Cemetery. Iv'e been visiting this cemetery since I was a little girl. The grounds keepers to the office staff have always showed nothing short of very polite, pleasant, and truly caring people. I would like to give a Special Thank You to the Grounds Keepers for your hard work. Our family really appreciates it. K. Costianes Gilbert, Az

First, if you are reading this I am truly sorry for your loss; for those who are here for that reason. I pray Almighty God brings you comfort and strength during this time. Everything went as smooth as possible; under such a difficult time. My precious, sweet, beautiful, loving mom had every detail covered; she took care of every sigle detail, and my mom's

My Grandparents are resting at this cemetery and I can honestly say that in the last year this cemetery is completely disrespecting my grandparents and all those located at Lot 55. My Grandfather has been here since 1976 and my Grandmother since 2001. There is no maintenance being provided here. The grass is all but dead, fallen tree branches, leaves, weeds, and trash all over. My mother has tried to correct this issue for the last 3 weeks and not one person will address our concerns. This has resulted in my mother visiting the cemetery and completing the grounds work herself. Picking up trash, raking the leaves and debris and spraying weed killer HERSELF as the cemetery REFUSES to address these concerns. This should be a sacred place to visit any family member or friend that has past on and instead they have left the grounds to look as though it is nothing more than an empty lot that no one cares to address. Our entire family has discussed being buried here so we can stay together. Instead we are forced to question all the decisions we have for when we pass. Save yourself the heartache and money and visit lot 55 to see how it is being DISGRACED.

My family had the misfortune of laying my mom to rest here on Nov.18th 2016 had an amazing team help us we were very pleased with the out come. I must admit it was more expensive than I had imagined but after it was all said and done I was pleased. Also was able to locate several other family members that are resting here along with a host of friends. I had great service from the staff here.

I have been to Greenwood many times with multiple family members resting here. I will be here also when my time comes, all prepaid. I will go on to say how in recent years the customer service here has seriously depreciated. I initially purchased with Mr.Canuff years ago, very nice fella. Since then, trying to get information or help is just distasteful. I have been in the customer service industry and initially understand if someone is having a bad day. BUT it's like this most of the time ONCE YOU'VE PURCHASED. If your buying, flip the switch nice nice nice. Sorry, anyone to blame is the management, which I KNOW have been there awhile. These woman truly have to get it together maybe take some vacation time. I always feel like I need to buy something in order to get some kind of assistance. I know whats it's like to walk in, let them know I have already purchased and quickly get pushed to someone else. Rude, rude rude!! Wished my family wasn't already here, I'd be happy to be elsewhere knowing my relatives wouldn't have to put up with the same rude treatment!

Scott and his staffs were great. They had complied with all our requests.
