Outstanding service from Gene and Jetta at Ridouts Gardendale Chapel for the funeral of our dad, W. L Godbee! They were considerate of our needs and requests even going above and beyond. We were even offered an opportunity of memorabilia items to help in remembering our dad. We delayed in getting the obituary write up to Gene for the online obituary but he stayed late to get it published. We had more people attend the service than we ever anticipated but the temperature in the chapel was adjusted to maintain a comfortable temperature. Beth turned a terrible day into a great one. Don’t let her age fool you, she knows exactly what she is doing down to every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better director. We got lucky that she answered the call. We were able to get everything we wanted and more. She had great ideas to make the day better and she even added in a surprise balloon arch for the family. I really can’t say enough to show my gratitude for her. She was patient and showed that she really cared about the family. All of the wants and needs were met. We loved that it was more of a celebration of life and didn’t have a traditional funeral feel. It was beautiful and comforting.

While on vacation in Hawaii I met Beth. I was very interested in her profession. She explained to me the importance of a pre-need and how helpful it is to go ahead and have this process all planned out ahead of time. She explain to me how arrangements were made and the process of a funeral. Burial or cremation she educated me on both. Never would I have imagined I would of met a 20 year old funeral director in Hawaii who knew so much knowledge about her profession. She explained to me that if I wrote a pre-need and moved somewhere that I could also transfer that pre-need to one of the locations that was a dignity provider. Beth is a great asset to any and all dignity locations and she will advance very well in her profession. She has such a passionate personality and any family would be lucky to have her. Thank you for the knowledge and an interesting trip Beth! I will for sure share the information you have shared with me!

Also, Alisa and her maintenance staff, Jorge, set my wife, Pam's marker this past Friday. From the moment I called initially after my fathers death, Beth Calloway was endearing and sympathetic. We scheduled an appointment and delayed the appointment twice but Beth assured us that she understood and was very kind to us. During the review of the options for the service, she presented everything very well and took our comments well and wasn't overly pushing trying to 'sell' options that we didn't want which we appreciated very much in the mindset we were in. We chose a catering option and then changed it the day before the event and Beth was unflappable, making the change seamlessly. Beth has the perfect personality for what she does. I cannot say enough positive things about her. We buried my mother in this same facility 8 years ago and the building has undergone significant changes, all to the good. Before, the walls were bland and the building interior felt very 'septic'. Now there are coordinated wall colors to go along with the new furniture. The rooms are inviting and cozy like a living room in your home. That made a huge difference during the visitation and the catered meal. Bravo to these changes, they are excellent. We have no complaints about our experience. Everyone was very pleasant, the events were handled wonderfully. Thank you so much to all the staff!

I really had no idea where to start or what to do, but I was trying to figure it out, so I could take some of the weight off of my grandma.
