I had a 90 min couples massage today & it was great . I got lucky enough to be able to book a spot on a Sunday afternoon last minute lol . It was very cleanly , the beds we laid on were heated (so awesome) & the music choise was relaxing . My boyfriend enjoyed his massage enough to fall asleep . My experience was good also . He was a little rough at first but as soon as i let him know he adjusted & it was great . We are both very satisfied & will be visiting again sometime soon

Very gloomy massage rooms and not sure if their masseurs are professionally trained. He was distracted the whole time and his arms were so hairy. I could literally feel his arms hair brushing off my back. I dont know what is that technique but im pretty sure he was using his arms not a brush or something. My whole back got break out now idk i guess his hands weren't clean. Not gonna mention any names cz i dont want anyone to lose business because of my experience but avoid masseurs with arm hair and make sure they care about hygiene.

My family has been going to Balance for years. Their experienced massage professionals really make it worth a trip from Hickory/Great Bridge out to Hilltop. They've helped with sports recovery and stiffness from working at a computer all day. Fairly priced and high attention to detail. Definitely recommend them

My hubby and I came to Virginia Beach for our anniversary. Love that we can book online with this place it made it so convenient for finding the perfect time for our massages. We booked a hour hot stone and hour deep tissue. Sue and Bree were awesome! It was very quiet and everyone has great customer service skills. Very affordable for great quality service. Will definitely be our go to massage place when vacationing here.

I get a massage at least once every other week. My regular spot was booked so I googled this place last minute. It said only a 4.2 star rating. I got Keith who explained his different tecnique. Hands down the best I have ever hand. It was very healing. If you looking for a plain rub down he isnt the one but if you are really sore and tight he realeased all the tension and hit every spot that need attention. He explained everything he was doing and showed me ways to help my self at home. Im so impressed and shocked how much better i feel I will not go anywhere else.

Awesome, professional therapy. I was visiting two weeks and had 4 sessions that fixed my bad back and shoulder pain. First Sue, then Missy, then Greta twice... all were great. Definitely coming back next visit. it even on the city bus line from the beach ( catch #20 from 17th st, takes 20 minutes)

No frills quality massage. They are relatively affordable and they have experienced massage therapists. I got an amazing massage and tips of how to help with everyday pain. When you come here, their staff is so kind and inviting. They offer a lot of different discount packages and online scheduling! You can save some money by sharing a room with a friend or a significant other. When you come here, you know that you are paying for a quality massage, not the for the illusion of quality through decor. I will be scheduling my future massages at Balance Therapeutic.

My Mother and I were in Virginia Beach for much needed rest and relaxation. Booked a couples massage for 90 minutes. Susan was my Mom's therapist and Sherry was mine. Very relaxing and professional atmosphere. Loved the instrumental music (James Taylor). Much better than sounds of rain that just make me have to pee! Sherry applied great deep tissue pressure in all the right places. We were both very pleased with our experience. It was a highlight of our trip.

I booked an appointment and the time I was given was 430. As I pulled up at 408 I received a call from the therapist stating my appointment was for 400 and I was late therefore she could not honor the full time I requested. I told her I was told my appointment was for 430 and that I was pulling up. When I got inside I told her again that I was told my appointment was for 430. She stated she was booked for the rest of the day and could not give me the full time I requested. I told her that I wanted to cancel since they made an error and couldn't accommodate me. She stated she would have go charge me for half of the visit then! I asked for a manager and she called and explained. The manager told her not to charge me. As this place is not at all accommodating when THEY make an error, I will never return nor will I recommend them

Did a 90 minute massage with Jen. Two words, 'Totally Awesome'! Had Stage 4 Throat Cancer 7 years ago, lots of issues with scare tissue, both Ankles rebuilt twice. She targeted the certain much needed areas and it was fantastic. 5 Stars.

My Girl friend and I had a couples massage. The staff was very nice. The massage was very painful. It was my first time the lady said she would take it easy because it was my first time instead she treated me like a pro. My upper back is very very tender to the touch... I wanted her to stop because it was so painful. My girlfriend on the other hand had an okay experience she was okay with the deep tissue massage yet felt that her guy was a bit rough in some spots. We both came to the conclusion that we didn't want to go there again, also they only did one side great...yet the other side kind of lazy. If you want a deep tissue massage with some pain and discomfort that is the place for you....I do not like pain! .. .

Came in on the afternoon of 12/12/15. The worst massage & experience I've ever had. I seriously thought about asking the message therapist to just stop so I could get up and leave. I'm sure there are several massage therapists who work there that are great but the woman I had was terrible.

My husband and I got a massages today and we both felt like it was they were a waste of time and money. They were the worst either of us have ever gotten. I will not name the massage therapists because maybe they were having an off day, however, we will not be going there again. It seems like there may be some good people who work there, but neither of the therapist we had have been mentioned in the reviews.
