She is always so kind and caring, and is so easy to talk to. The time just flies by! I wouldn't want anyone else to ever do my hair!

I been going to this salon for about 2 years. You can tell that the owner cares about her business and the stylists care about their clients. I wasn't completely satisfied with my first cut, but upon returning the next day they went over the top to make sure I was taken care of. It's been smooth sailing since. Christine is awesome! She's been cutting my hair for about 1 year now. I have short hair and she is the queen of fades. Great experience with this salon and fantastic experience with Christine, definitely recommend!

Augustina is my girl! Hair magic AND genuine conversation with her- she has never done wrong! I'm not just another client to her, she really cares and loves her clients and wants them to look their absolute best! I told her I had a hot date after my appointment, she did a complete makeover to make me feel special and ready! 4 stars instead of 5 because if you're there in the afternoon, it's blinding from the sun coming through the front windows and reflecting off the stylists mirrors. But Augustina absolutely deserves 10 stars!

I really like this place. I came here after I have had a bad experience at the other salon and my hair looked awful to say the least. In order to fix it, I used the box color I bought from Whole Foods. However, the color was still not what I wanted and it looked okay. So I came here and Lauren did the magic. My hair went from horrible color to beautiful and natural looking color. I wished I had the pictures before and after for you guys to see the true magic. Because I used box color Lauren had to bleach my hair. The process took 4 hours. Lauren was very present and kind. She allows you to feel comfortable and builds trust especially when you are new to bleach process. Lauren carefully explains everything involved and answers questions thoroughly. She keeps her promises and doesn't over promise. Most importantly, Lauren listens and works with you. I've seen a handful of different hair stylists over the last 7 years and Lauren is truly top notch. I highly recommend Life Aveda Salon and Spa. I'm looking forward to my next appointment.

I have been going to Life Aveda Salon for two years and have loved every visit! The team are always super friendly and helpful. Lauren who does my color is incredible with blonds! I can’t express how much I love all my colors with her. Every time we manage to do something different but still keeping me blond. Plus my hair is in great shape, Lauren has managed to give me a beautiful Ash blond that still feels fantastic and healthy. Aveda as a product range and color range is fabulous. I have been going to the same salon for 17 years and he only knew one way of doing hair which I assumed as the right way to do it. My last appointment with my former hairstylist was an absolute train wreck. I came home with...no joke...purple and black stripes all throughout my hair. I went in asking for some blonde and golden highlights. My hair was so damaged, I had to wash it at least 3-4 times to get all the excess chemical and purple shampoo out of my hair. My hair was so badly burned that I lost over 4 inches on one side. I had to find a solution and was referred to Life Aveda by a friend of mine and what a relief it has been. I was always nervous to bring new ideas to my former stylist as he was pretty set in his ways and old school in how he handled things. With Life Aveda, my hair is now all the same length :) I go in with a picture from Pinterest and come home looking exactly like it and don't have to shower multiple times. I am forever grateful for Kelsey and Life Aveda and all they've done to give me confidence again.

From time to time, I want to be pampered. Some other shops that do men's haircut pretend to pamper me with a hot towel on my face but Aveda does it right. The oils, massage, and thorough shampooing were great but what I appreciated most was my stylist who asked all the right questions the first time and takes the time... every time. Meanwhile, other salons tend to hustle me through like cattle. Also, my stylist (Maddie) remembers what we discussed last time and my preferred style.

I came here for the first time yesterday to schedule an appointment. As soon as i walked in I was welcomed with smiles and bubbly attitudes. I told them I wanted to get in as soon as possible. They were so nice and got me in half an hour later. My stylist was amazing and did exactly what I wanted/needed. Everyone was so sweet offering water, tea, coming and talking to me. It took so long for my hair to dry so my stylist even gave me a massage! It was such a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

I have been going to Life Aveda for about 10 years now. I have a mixed review. I love how they pamper you when you get there, ask you if you'd like a water, etc. and make you feel welcome. I love how the stylist will massage your head, neck, and hands with a scented oil that you get to pick out, etc. SO I recommended that my sister go there. When my sister went, they didn't do any of that stuff! I was so disappointed that I had raved about the place and then she had such a different experience. I'm sure it was just a fluke with the person she got. That is the one problem that I see... in all of these 10 years, the stylists come and go SO OFTEN! They don't stick around to work there. Why? I bet I have had the same stylist perhaps once or maybe even a whole twice. Do the workers not like working there? It makes it a bit of a surprise each time I go. And that is the scariest part about getting your hair cut... having it cut by a stranger. I take in a picture every time (a picture of myself showing how I like my hair to be - which is pretty simple) because it is always someone new who won't know me. So I don't keep going for the same stylist, I keep going for the nice environment and experience, but then my sister didn't get the same!

I was planning on getting my photos done today so i scheduled a last minute wash/style for my hair, i have extensions so i have plenty thick and long hair so i like to have someone do it for me. the lady on the phone was awesome at getting me in so soon and was very chipper. when i got to my appt i was brought back quickly which was nice and i immediately got my hair washed but i felt like in the past i normally have one specific girl do the same service and when washing she would always double shampoo and give me a scalp massage as well as leaving in my conditioner for a good amount of time. and i just felt like i didnt get that same treatment this time around, my wash was quick and rushed and wasn’t thorough, however id been to this girl before and she is so great and very nice so i just let it slide because i didnt want to cause any trouble because i know i have a ton of hair. i wanted tight curls, mostly pin curls so i told her that and she used an iron which was the only option she had so i said ok that is fine you only have what you have! however normally i get multiple products in my hair and i only got one which was hairspray which is frustrating because i have color treated hair AND extensions so i like thermal protection and curl enhancers as well because it helps with my curls! she was nice and we had good conversations but i felt she was rushing through my hair and the end result was ok, i had a few notes about my hair but i knew she had another client waiting for a bit so i didnt want to cause a fuss. i looked at my hair told her it was “fine” and i really thought it was. i had a coupon when i checked out for 20 off so i was thrilled i saved some cash and the lady at the front was very compliant and the customer service i got was amazing- would recommend however when i got home and had my sister look at my hair she had found MANY straight pieces and my hair was quite frizzy at the top and the curls weren’t consistent to say the last. the time of my head was flat and frizzed out with no curl and when looking at my hair it did not blend by any means with my extensions, my curls had gone flat and looked quite bad. im not saying this to receive a refund or to be rude, she was nice, i just feel i wasnt as impressed as i am with my results now vs my previous results with the other girl i go to almost every week. thank you for taking time to read this

I really like doing business with Life Aveda. Everyone there is pleasant and efficient and the salon is very welcoming. All services I have tried have been excellent. I want to particularly recognize Mandi (stylist) and Autumn (master esthetician) for the high quality work they perform and the personal touches they offer their clients. Mandi has been cutting my hair for several years now and I have always - 100% of the time - been delighted with the results. She is careful, engaging, fun and talented. I strongly recommend her. I only recently started working with Autumn and found her to be another version of Mandi - personal, careful, thorough, kind, professional, and very competent. I have every intention of continuing the relationship with both these professionals and with Life Aveda.

They do good work, tho it is mostly targeted to women (completely understandable of course). There was a mixup of appointment times (completely on our end) but they still tried to make it work so I want out a 40 minute drive each way. Note: the parking lot is really narrow. My car was hit in the parking lot and I've heard from a lot of people that experienced this as well. Not a surprise once you see the parking lot yourself.

I got a facial and the facial service itself was nice. The staff was friendly too. But If you're looking for a spa feel atmosphere this is NOT the place. The room were I was given the facial was very small and crowded. I had to place my items and clothes on the floor which I though was so weird since I'm use to be given a locker at other places with similar prices. It's not a very relaxing place as you could hear everything from the salon from blow dryers to people chatting. I'd go back for pedicures or other services but not for facials or massages that's for sure!

My daughter got her hair done for prom, took a picture in and left with hair nothing like the picture! She was heartbroken. It was her first prom and she was in tears. We called the manager and they offered for her to come back and get another style! It was her prom day! We didn't have time for her to go back! They wouldn't refund her money and didn't even seem to care that her night was ruined. Horrible service and obviously horrible stylists.

I had to drive three hours to get to my appointment and Paige is the girl who I wanted to do my hair. I had been in contact with her and she offered to come in her day off to accommodate me. She went the extra mile from getting me tea, spent extra long on my head massage, and my hand and arm massage. She was very thorough in explaining what she was doing and the product she was using on me which I appreciated because I am very particular with my hair. She completely exceeded my expectations and I left feeling lighter and more beautiful! I felt her prices were competitive but fair. Would HIGHLY recommend going and seeing Paige. She is young but very educated and knowledgeable in the industry. Again, would highly recommend visiting her, she'll take care of you!

Beware if you (or your child) start feeling ill and need to leave, they will still charge you. I was so stunned/shocked that the manager didn’t have any empathy toward my child feeling sick . I had my son’s hair cut instead so I didn’t just waste the stylists time. But she wanted to charge me for my son’s cut AND the color they had mixed for my daughter. The manager asked me very rudely if I felt like the stylist should pay for the color she had mixed, I told her “of course not” (but that is where a ‘friendly’ manager should step in and say “hey, it’s all good, maybe next time;) — but that wasn’t the case at this place, I asked the receptionist to just run my card for $50 and be done, but the manager kept talking, and talking, and talking... Today wasn’t my first time there, but today was definitely my last.

I normally do not write reviews but I need to let other know of my experience at this salon. After getting my hair cut and purchasing some products I left by the time I got to my car my face, neck and arms were very red and started itching. By the time I got home I had a full case of hives and called the Dr. Needless to say the products used on me did not agree with me. I did not open or use any of the products and took them back the next business day. They would not take them back or give me a refund, I was told that all products sales were final but I was told this when I took back the products even if you have an allergy to the products that were used on you.

I used to do hair and I'm very picky when I first go to a stylist. I have short, red hair and have always had a hard time finding someone that listens. Since the very first time I went to Christine, 2 years ago, I've been blown away! She is always full of ideas and is very knowledgeable. Now I just tell her to do whatever she wants! We moved and I still make the hour drive to get to her. My husband even tells me not to go anywhere else! She is absolutely wonderful! It has been a little over three months since I last got my hair done in Colorado. I recently moved to Utah and finding a salon and stylist was a huge must. And I couldn’t just find any stylist. I needed to find someone who could tame my Mohawk properly. I wanted to find someone who would understand and relate to an alternative hairstyle, especially since I’ve found it hard to come by. I found the perfect stylist at Life Aveda. Lauren is phenomenal! Having a hawk of her own, she knew exactly what needed to be done and what I wanted without much explanation on my end. I cannot put into words just how unbelievably happy I am with how my hair came out. Lauren definitely knows her stuff and it shows in the quality of work she produces. I was in a pinch, my stylist was on maternity leave and needed my hair done before a trip to Alaska and went here they put me with Paige and a mistake is an understatement I paid $170.00 to have my hair, (color and cut) destroyed I can't even leave my house. When I mentioned it to her she claimed it was a process and I had to work through it. My husband of 20 years passed 3 weeks ago and I was already so depressed I could barely walk. And now I'm devastated.

Had a very disappointing visit. I called prior to going in to ask and tell them my whole hair background. So they knew EXACTLY what kind of dye was on my hair beforehand. Which was bleached hair amd then sallys color over it and it turned extremely warm when I used/ wanted a neutral or ash brown. So I called Aveda hoping to fix my hair problem and told the receptionist my whole story. Making sure to emphasize on not wanting to waste my momlney and their time if it was not a reachable color. So she made an appointment with an expert stylist. Went in and she sounded so confident about it being how i wanted. 3 hrs. Later Im left with a greenish blue tint ash hair color and she says after a few washes that with go away so im like okay the she proceeds to brush out my hair and I notice the two inches of my roots is completely warm and looks no different than before i came in. I'm feeling sad and upset because when i mention it she proceeds to tell me its the lighting and my hair is still wet. So she actually has me walk outside twice once with wet hair and when its dry to see the color in better light and my roots are warm! And i try to subtly say im not happy with my hair and she goes off telling me its my fault for using box hair dye from sallys and my hair is too dead to dye again. Ok i get it box hair dye is the devil to hair stylists but shouldnt she have told me that when i first sat in her chair and point blank asked her if you dont think it will turn out or its a big chance it wont work (because of the box dye) I dont mind just leaving. Well i ended up paying for my hair in defeat because i wasnt getting anywhere with her. Overall I dont reccomend going here. So frustrating.

I’ve gone to this location for haircuts a few times and it was fine. I stopped going for a while, and then needed a bang trim today and was planning on starting back up again getting regular haircuts here. I come from being a long time customer at Landis Aveda in SLC which has free bang trims, although I know this salon isn’t Landis and so I would be ok paying $8-$10 (base)... but $17??? For a literal 4 minute (I looked at the time) dry bang trim? That is crazy!! I was looking forward to starting up here again coming regularly but I just can’t/won’t come here if every 6 weeks I have to also pay $17 plus tip for just a quick bang trim :(

This place is awesome! Christine Maranto cuts my hair there and she is just the best! She is super skilled with the scissors and razor and is truly a hair artist. Since I got my new style from her, I have people telling me I look ten years younger and I get carded at the liquor store now. (I'm 48) I originally went to her because I had to have surgery on my scalp and had an area in the front where my hair was shaved. The rest was about shoulder length and had been basically ignored by me for years. I needed her to make that shaved area work somehow so she had a real challenge. She gave me a super cute asymmetrical style that is a breeze to care for and I feel comfortable wearing. The whole experience of going there is a pleasure. They give you this delicious herbal tea in a cool ceramic mug. Each time I go in Christine takes the time to consult with me, then I get a scalp and neck massage (always welcome and much needed), a shampoo and deep conditioning treatment, then an awesome haircut. After that, she gives me a touch of lipstick and some eyeliner to complete the new look, and I leave there feeling like a new woman. The salon has a nice vibe too and the Aveda products are excellent. She is so talented and just a super sweet person. She's nice to chat with and I love her smile! Do yourself a favor- go see her and let her work her magic on you too!

I absolutely love this salon! The overall environment is relaxing and inviting and the staff is friendly and knowledge, I even drive quite a ways to come here and its totally worth the extra commute. The real reason why I come to this salon though is Christine, she is an incredible stylist who truly knows her way around a haircut. And, added bonus, she's hilarious and personable and will definitely take care of you. Oh, and do yourself a favor and buy their products, they are well worth the price.

Well first off we gotta start with the awesome complimentary service that comes with any cut or color. You can really get relaxed and in the “treat yo self” mood. My stylist, Star, was awesome! The cut and color were exactly what I wanted and the service was perfect. I know that it’s hard to find the perfect person to do your hair, and it always feels like a big risk trying somewhere new, but this place will definitely be worth your while! The staff and ambience are awesome and everyone should give these stylists a try!!! 10/10 would recommend :)

The stylist are so knowledgeable and really know how to educate you about your own hair and how to manage and work with it. My stylist Lauren, and the sweet girl at the reception desk took the time to educate and offer me amazing Aveda products to compliment my crazy head of curls! I have been growing it out for 6 years.After 6 months of getting flaked on by multiple hair stylists, I made an appointment and was asked very specific questions and was to told to not worry Ellie would take great care of me. SHE REALLY DID! This was the best experience I have ever had at a salon! She explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. She even gave me some samples for not only my hair but my husbands. I will never go any where else!!

I have been coming to Life for years & have loved every experience. I booked a 90 minute facial & brow wax yesterday afternoon after a major long haul flight and traveling had left my skin dry and in need of some pampering. I was so excited they could squeeze me in that night. My appointment was booked for 7:15, but they called about 5:30 to see if I could come in at 6:15 as they had a cancellation. Sure! I got there about 6:10, and waited until a little after 6:20 to head back. No problem:) I let Autumn know I was pretty much there for relaxation & some dryness issues. We talked for about 30 seconds, I changed, she came back in a few minutes later so guessing right around 6:30. The facial was great. I was hoping for a foot massage as I assumed a 90 minute would include one, but no problem. She finished up, and it felt early, but then waxed my brows, and we were done. I got up from the table & it was 7:35. I was so sad. I sooooo needed that 90 minutes, but figured she probably just got miscommunication & thought we just had a 60. I went up front to pay, and was charged for a 90 minute facial + a brow wax. I was like, it was only an hour plus my brow wax. Autumn told me we started right at 6:15, which was absolutely not true, told me 15 minutes of the facial is a consultation, so even though we only took a minute, that was still deducted from my facial time, my brow wax was a part of my facial time, and also she was booked solid so had to end early. I was seriously stunned. I think she saw the look of disbelief on my face, so quickly said she would give me a discount. I left so sad, when I was wanting that relaxing boost I have always left Life with. Never going back, and telling all my friends & family to steer clear.

The best Aveda around! The salon itself is beautiful ( clean, fresh, and modern).The chairs are spaced out enough where you feel like you have privacy as a client while chatting with your stylist. Leanna is my favorite, as she has been my personal stylist for pageants, dances, and hair coloring. The fellow stylists have always been so kind and complimentary of the hair style changesI have had there. Receptionists are very kind and warm. Overall- fantastic experience there! Five stars!

I went at the beginning of July to get my hair colored. She over toned my hair making it pink. Once that faded it stayed yellow. I came back a few days ago to see if they could fix it. They noticed how yellow my hair was. They fixed my color, but totally destroyed my haircut. I look like I have a bowl cut over my actual haircut. I will not be returning to Aveda.

tl;dr - If you're a guy, come here and ask for Mandi. Long version - As a guy, I occasionally feel hesitation about going to a salon. I know they can be great for women, but will a salon be equally great for the needs of a man? It can be hit or miss, especially depending upon the stylist you get. So, when I needed to find a new stylist, I called up Aveda and asked if they had someone who specialized in working with men. With no hesitation, the friendly receptionist said I should work with Mandi, who has a background in barbering and does a great job for men. I was still a little nervous when I went in the first time. For my work I spend a lot of time on camera, so my needs are pretty specific. However, Mandi took a lot of time to listen and make sure to give exactly what I wanted with my cut. She clearly knows what she's doing, and is confident enough to listen to her customers. Most of all, she is CONSISTENT. I'm not concerned anymore about whether my haircut will look good one time, then ugly the next...which was the norm for the last two places I went to. She nails it every time. She pays attention to the small details and gets it all right. If you're a dude, stop reading this review, pick up the phone, and schedule your appointment with Mandi. You won't be disappointed.

I have health conditions that make coloring extremely difficult but they were patient with me, talked me through my options and were extremely kind in their efforts to redo the color when it did not take the first time. I tried avoiding writting a bad review after being charged $500 for color correction & a color treatment because I did have to cancel 2 appointments consecutively. However after leaving the salon yesterday after having my eyebrows ruined by the new esthetician doing waxing now I realized it was time to just leave and make sure I leave a review so that other clientele aren't subject to the sane problems. No one at this salon knows what they're doing, they're really rude and you'll get robbed one way or another. The most irritating part of it being that the salon is using Aveda products, which are fantastic and Avedas name all while having zero talent which is unfair to the community. Don't go here.

I've been working with Christine for more than 2 years now. Nobody does a pixie like my girl Christine! She's constantly challenging herself to create interesting and innovative ways to change up short women's hair. I feel like I've had far more adventurous hairstyles since meeting her, even though my hair is as short as it's ever been. The salon itself is impeccably clean, comfortable, and I'm always asked if I want a cup of the lovely Aveda tea when I come in and sit down. It's a big city spa in a suburban setting, and we're lucky to have them in South Jordan.
