I've been going to The Massage Studio (previously The Natural Way) for several years, and it is my go-to-place in Austin for massage and healing care. I have had about a half-dozen different therapists over the years, and all of them have been excellent both in skill and temperament, particularly Jonathan. They clearly have a high bar in screening their therapists, and as someone who has done a lot of bodywork over the years with different studios, I can strongly recommend The Massage Studio as one of consistently the best places I've ever gone.

I always have a great experience at the Massage Studio. All of their therapists are professional and well-trained, but I always book with Jonathan if he's available. About a year ago, I was having residual pain and tension from a muscular disorder I suffered from a few years ago. He was able to target certain areas and provide some much needed relief and relaxation. Regardless who I book with though, I always leave feeling like I got a great massage. The facility is clean and up-to-date and their prices are very reasonable. I've also used their IR sauna prior to a massage and it definitely helps loosen up muscles for an even better massage.

The last treatment was a gift but the FD associate couldn't find the cc info & I had to cover it myself. Other than this one issue, I've enjoyed this small studio. Easy scheduling, chill atmosphere, Netflix in the sauna, Wellness Wednesdays, easy parking, and Krystal. These are only a few of the reasons why I love The Massage Studio. You will feel well cared for and refreshed after a session here. Everything about this place is geared toward relieving your stress. From the relaxation room where you sip chilled, infused water and read a magazine while you wait for your service (a good reason to come early is to just hang out in that room. I swear you'll want to re-do a room in your house to match) to the sauna where I like to watch Chef's Table on Netflix while I work up a sweat, to the massage itself. Thanks to Krystal I always walk out of The Massage Studio feeling taller, calmer, and pain free. 6 stars.

I went here a few months back and was very pleasantly surprised by my experience here. My friend and I were both able to make same-day appointments that occurred at the same time so we could leave at the same time for lunch. The receptionist was friendly and the business overall was clean, well organized, and relaxing. I can't remember the name of my massage therapist, but he was incredibly strong and managed to do great work everywhere I requested. I will definitely be going back here!

I have been to the massage studio a couple of times now. I was a collegiate athlete and now I am a fitness instructor, so I have been having some issues with my upper back and right foot. I have been going to Jonathon who is absolutely amazing. He really bases the massage off of your specific needs. He's very professional, makes you feel super comfortable, and does great work. The staff at the Massage Studio is very welcoming and accommadating to their clients. There have been several times where I have had to move my appointments and they have been super great about it and have never once made me feel like I was in the wrong for changing my appointment on several occasions. Their customer care is great! My body is definitely progressing and feeling much better thanks to Jonathon! The massage studio is the place to go!

Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Jonathan. He’s the first massage therapist I’ve ever had that I’ve referred to as MY massage therapist. He’s the first person I’ve ever found who can really give the pressure I need and can get really deep into the muscles. He’s also given really great advice on long-term care in regards to my body, providing links and exercises I can do when I’m at home, which is more than my doctor has ever been willing to do. The facility itself is clean and provides a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend using the infrared sauna prior to a massage, it really loosens up the muscles so your massage therapist can get right in when your appointment begins!

Had a massage and infrared sauna treatment at the Massage Studio yesterday. (Formerly known as The Natural Way) The sauna was great, small, one person, clean room where I sat, sweat, and relaxed for about 30 minutes. The massage by Johnathon was really top notch, some of the best techniques for shoulder and rotator cuff that I've ever experienced. The other comparable massage studios in town cost nearly twice as much. I rescheduled again for next week. Looking forward to going back.

I have never been disappointed with a massage here. I am bad about scheduling in advance and they are always very accommodating to schedule me in that day or the next. I recommend getting the infared sauna beforehand to relax muscles and detox even more. Front desk staff is awesome and nothing but positive things to say about this business.

Very cozy and chill atmosphere. I love the lounge with cucumber water, hot tea, and snack selections for clients. Laura and Leah are both great and listen to requests. The tables are heated and the oils smell amazing. The 45 minute massage is decently priced for what you get, and they run promotions throughout the year. They also offer the products they use and other selections of relaxation products for sale. Also conveniently located on South Congress and plenty of parking in back.

Jonathan is one of the best massage therapist I've ever experience. I came in for a deep tissue massage on June 17 and left on a massage high. He is highly intuitive to what how deep the work should be and he was spot on. I think he was a bit surprised at my high level of pain tolerance and took that task seriously. I was surprised at how well he managed my very tight calves, when he completed the first calf and was preparing to move to the next I told him if I was asked for one word on how the calf felt it was "exhausted" and in a good way. This was my first time at The Natural Way and I definitely plan on returning! The staff was so helpful in scheduling a last minute appointment. I had a 30 minute facial which was nice and relaxing. I have sensitive skin so I appreciated all of the natural and organic products that worked well with my skin. My experience with the infrared sauna was also perfect. They went above and beyond by providing fresh lemon water, an oil scent of my choosing and even a shot of refreshing coconut water for after the session.

I have been coming here for a week or so for their infrared sauna. So far the customer service experience has been amazing. The staff are polite and caring. The waiting area is welcoming and everything is clean and aestheticly pleasing. They offer a hot aromatherapy towel during the session and a cold towel after. They also have water and coconut water available after your session. I have not had a massage here yet, but if it matches the rest of their offerings I'll be happy!

Way too over priced, $80 for an hour? Please, I thought the oil was going to be some liquid gold. Which leads me on to the next point... they charge your to "uprage" the oil in the massage... I'm a college student I'm not paying for that, turns out the "standard" oil that I didn't have to but was awful, caused friction which caused it to be very discomforting. Also my masuse was amateur.

I found The Massage Studio when wanting to book myself a birthday massage (treat your self!). Online booking was a breeze and the staff was amazing and never pushy or uppity. I saw Leah and she was super sweet. She made me feel great and relaxed and worked on some tension spots. I felt special as well since they gifted me a free oil to use during the massage and a stress ball. Ha! I was ready to come back. As life has it, I got busy and when my shoulders began aching I went back for a last minute booking (happy they got me in) and saw Matt. It was like a much needed workout... and much like workouts I'm realizing one and done won't cut it. I have lots of knots and tension from using the computer, holding stress in my neck and shoulders, + working out. Matt really helped getting deep in my muscles and layers. He used lots of needed pressure to get deep to my problem spots and gave solid advice post massage to keep up with relieving my pain. I am realizing that massages aren't the every now and then luxuries they once were thought to be...Instead, they're a great and NEEDED maintenance to keep your body healthy, happy and moving well. I'm excited to come back in a few weeks to keep working on my shoulders/tension and keep my body pain free. Also, reasonable prices, clean and cozy facilities and smells great. Easy parking! Love the front desk staff as well!

I booked this massage as I was looking yesterday and my usual places were booked up. So, I came to this place and booked a 'sports massage' for some work on my infraspinatus on my left side and my IT band on my right side. The massage really didn't focus on either of those things, even though we noted them at the beginning of the session. It was more of a swedish massage, as well - I didn't quite understand why they collected that information from me if they weren't going to act on it and just give me an all-over massage... I probably should have asked about the people they had working there, the person who saw me did this part time and was maybe 20 (not sure how much time they have had to study musculature, etc...) - I am not sure how much they train their staff or what that is like, but my experience was by no means what is to be expected from a sports massage for an athlete. I am certain that this would be fine for someone who just wanted a swedish massage or to relax, but it was not at all what I expected, sadly.

I have had a massage at a different studio in Austin and was very disappointed, after reading the reviews of the massage studio I decided to book in for an introductory signature massage and I can honestly say I'll definitely be back. Bear in mind, prior to my experience at The Massage Studio, I'd never spent a minute in any professional massage environment. From the get-go, however, the crew strove to make this tense stickler loosen up a bit, and loosen I did. I called in the afternoon, and was booked for the next morning within a minute. Awesome. The receptionist on the phone (sounded like a young gentleman), deftly handled my bombardment of maladroit questions, gave me some advice for my first appointment, and couldn't have made things any easier. The first step was done. Greeting me by name at the door was a delightfully positive demeanor in the morning receptionist (I neglected to get her name, but she totally slew it). She immediately went to work in making sure I was comfortable, hydrated, and had me fill out a short questionnaire so that my masseur might better address any issues to my musculature. From the lounge, once they had my info, I was passed into the capable hands of Jonathan. Jonathan's passion for the healing properties of massage were immediately evident. My session with him was more of a dialog - an engaging, invigorating experience, not at all like the image I had of sterile, quiet rooms where placid clients dozed and masseuses lazily slapped away at flesh amidst the gongs and mini fountains (this image may seem unfair for those who are used to the massage game, but the way it's portrayed in the media has put a certain bent to it all). What I got instead was really rejuvenating, extremely relaxing, and totally enjoyable. He's an adept conversationalist that could walk a technical mind like myself over every detail in every muscle he was going to attack. He wasn't all business, though. Between time spent grinding tension into submission, he was a real pleasure to hang out with, and a cool guy to get to know. He genuinely believes in what he's doing as a healing art, and I'm inclined to let him practice on me as long as he's got hands and I've got body. At the end of the hour, I was handed a card with recommended breathing techniques and stretches to make my life easier. Taking my lifestyle into account, I was given a bespoke regimen, just as yet another, nice personal touch on top of the whole experience. Yes, I did book another appointment before I went on with my day. I don't have any means of comparison between different studios, or different masseurs, but I do know that my weekend was absolutely made by my time spent at The Massage Studio. It's something I'm going to be telling about to my friends and family, and as soon as I post this, all of the internet, which I never do. Congrats, guys. You got me to write an internet review. I hope you're all happy. I know I am.

these guys legitimately care about their clients well being ... I've seen several therapists there and I'm most impressed with Jonathan. I'm a CrossFitter, so naturally I'm building up a lot of tension in my muscled day to day ... he is very in-tune with my body and has his own system for constantly verifying the acceptable amount of pressure for a sports massage without it being annoying. He is also very educational and teaches me things about my body and why it might be a certain way about things that are better than others or may be abnormal. I feel like I'm getting a good value for my money because they're not the fanciest place around ... I'm trying to get a good legitimate therapeutic massage to help fix my body, not take Instagram pics and show off to my friends ... my needs are fulfilled and if possible, I won't go elsewhere. Just make sure you schedule a day or two in advance to make sure there's space.

I was having a rough day at work so I decided to treat myself last minute and booked an appointment. This was my first time at The Massage Studio and I loved it. The staff is really nice and the vibe is cozy and welcoming. Stephanie was awesome. Can’t wait for my next appointment!!!
