REVIEWS OF Tennessee School of Massage IN Tennessee

For me, attending TSOM was one of the most amazing, life changing experiences. It has been three years since earning my license, and I now own a thriving private practice, where I get to do something I love every day - ease pain and lift spirits. And although I've been out of school for 3 years, I still meet with David and Cissie on a regular basis for business advice and mentoring. Is this program challenging? Yes. Do you need to be self-motivated in order to be successful? You absolutely do. But, if you are willing to do the hard work it takes to complete the program and take the state boards, then you'll discover a career that is both fulfilling and fun.

I would not recommend this school because the board and Tennessee School of Massage are in cahoots to shake down students and massage therapist for money. They will lie as if you need more hours then recommend this school. The board told me over the phone that I needed 32 hours then wrote a letter stating I needed 7. Called the board and acted as if I was never told that and asked who told me that. So I can't prove it. I wished I had asked Dale to put it in writing that I needed 32 hours when she told me that. Do not sign up here, they are shaking people down. They got me for $400. There are other schools do not go here. UPDATE: No, not SPAM but the full truth and of course I would not use my legal name here. No, I’m not Renee Theus, however, is a pen name.

I am a former student of Tennessee School of Massage. I graduated in 2004 and have been very successful in my massage career ever since. Sissy prepares her students for real life in the Massage therapy business and I can honestly say she had me ready for my career! Also after graduation Sissy and David are so helpful and ready to guide you in any way they Can! They truly care and want nothing but success for all of their students!

TN School of Massage really prepared me for work as a licensed massage therapist. The anatomy classes were taught in a way that wasn't over my head, and I took a lot away from the classes. The class sizes were not over-crowded, which allowed me to have a great relationship with the instructors, have open and honest conversations during in-class discussions, & form great bonds and study groups with my classmates. I also got real-world, hands-on experience working in a boutique spa that is associated with the school, which allowed me to gain clientele feedback. I also learned additional skills that are not taught at other massage schools in the area. I highly recommend TN School of Massage if you are looking at a massage school within the area. The classes fully prepare you for the licensing exam, provide real experience, and teach other areas within our scope of practice not found at most massage programs in an environment that I enjoyed going to for school.

As a wildly successful massage therapist and former student of this school, I can only sing their praises. David and Cissie carefully nurture and guide each student through guidance and leadership. They were always available and willing to prepare me for the unexpected. Given the chance again, experiencing all I have and knowing what I know, I would go back and do it all over again. I have the most amazing job, and after a recruiter daughter the school for a recommendation; David have a glowing recommendation for me. He also advised me and answered the “tough” questions I had about the job. I am happier than I have ever been, and more successful than I imagined. I certainly owe this honor to the Tennessee School it Massage. I am eternally grateful. Look no more for the perfect school to start you dream career! You WONT regret it.
