I've been getting massages for over 30 years and my ex-wife was a massage therapist. Tao is as good as I've ever had, and I've been going there off and on for five years. Never got a therapist that didn't give a real massage and I believe the "Asian" style is far more relaxing and therapeutic than customary western style. When stress points are found, they don't attack it like it was a cockroach in the corner, they work it more gently along with the surrounding area and coax it away. So much nicer. The owners are thoughtful and thorough, assuring that you have a good experience each time. My latest therapist is so good, I won't put her name here, otherwise she'd be too busy to fit me in. Find her yourself, and enjoy the trek. I did.

First time here and I loved it. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The facility is clean and spacious. My buddies and I came down for a golf vacation, needed a massage and saw this place because they were open till 9pm. This was without a doubt the best massage I ever had. I wanted deep tissue, she even stood on the table and walked on my back which was fantastic. She also gave me Thai stretching which loosened me up a lot. I really needed this for my golf game. Also her hand and finger techniques were incredibly healing. My entire body was relieved of tension. When the session was over, I just sat up on the table feeling so light and calm. My masseuse new exactly what she was doing and was awesome. I highly recommend this place. I'll be back.

Great, professional, no nonsense. i usually get deep tissue massage. and they include stretching at the end which is a bonus. I been going for 8 years. All the therapist have been good. I usually go to CiCi but last night I had Niya and she was terrific too. I wish i could afford to go everyday.

Had the 1hr couples massage with my husband. It was a good massage but the two ladies were talking Most of the massage. I've had a few professional massages and have Never experienced the masseuse talk during the massage. I also have a condition called hyperhidrosis where my hands & feet sweat when I get hot and it was not exactly cool in that small room so of course my hands and fret started sweating. The lady massaging me kept talking about them to her coworker which was very unprofessional. There was also a lady who took our payment and asked if we would tip and I said No. She asked again with an attitude and again I said no. She was very pushy about giving a tip but tips are earned not given and we didn't think those ladies deserved it. All in all, good massage but poor professionalism.

I have had two massages at this place and had a delightful experience at both. Me and my girlfriend got a couples massage the first time and it was very relaxing to enjoy a massage next to each other. I recently went again for a deep tissue massage because I had pulled a muscle in my neck. I had sunny as my therapist and she did an excellent job. Once she was about half way through my massage she asked if I wanted to target a specific spot in my neck. I found that very pleasent that she would do that because she had already got it pretty good but before we started I told her I was an extreme pain. The owner tina was also there who is a great personable lady who was very enjoyable to talk to prior to receiving my massage. I came in Tao Massage on a whim because I had come across their website while doing a google search. Everything was wonderul from speaking with Tina when I came in to Erica, my therapist, who is AWESOME! It is different than I have ever had before but very relaxing! Erica ensured the pressure was spot on and really worked my lower back which was very, very tense. I only wish I lived in Myrtle Beach so I could come at least twice a month, but I know I will be back and will be sure to meet with Tina and Erica again! Thanks so much for the wonderful massage!

WOW!!! Just here on vacation and after playing quite a few rounds of golf my body was really stiff and tight. I went to the Tao spa to get a massage and came out feeling like an out of body experience. I could actually feel her healing energy radiating through my body as she worked on me. I've had many massages before but her techniques were so unique and far superior than any other massage therapy I had before. I could tell from her sustained just right pressure that she knew her stuff and gave her full effort. I cant remember feeling so loose and relaxed from a massage before, mentally and physically. It was just amazing! Also everyone was polite and professional as could be and the place was very clean. Just wish I had remembered her Chinese name so I can ask her next time I visit Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend anyone paying them a visit if they are on vacation as this was my best massage ever.

I moved to Charlotte about 5 years ago, but this is still the only place I'll get massaged. I've never found another group of people that compares in terms of understanding what the body needs. These ladies don't even have to use words to know how to straighten you out. This is coming from a former medical massage therapist. Love Tao Massage!

I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach and was in desperate need of a massage and found Tao through a Google search. This massage turned out to be spectacular. My masseuse was very professional and did a fantastic job. It was the highlight of my vacation. It was like a little slice of heaven! She even climbed on my back using her elbows/knees which literally dissolved the tension/ knots in my back. When I came in I asked for a 1hr Tao Signature massage but near the end, I extended for another 30mins. I just didn't want it to end! Her hands were very therapeutic and relaxing at the same time. She was extremely thorough including addressing some trigger points. Between the atmosphere and the massage , I felt like I was in China getting an authentic massage. The facility was clean but nothing fancy. I wish I lived closer so I can go for regular massages. So if you are in Myrtle Beach, I definitely recommend you get a Tao massage!

Being a Massage Therapist myself, I can be very discerning about the bodywork I receive. I have never experienced a massage like this! Went in expecting typical massage therapy techniques that I'm accustomed to but Tao went far beyond expectation. The professionalism and ambience of the spa was second to none and the treatment itself far outstands anything. I extended the one hour body massage to 90 minutes in order to try reflexology which left me feeling light and serene. I was like on cloud nine. just teriffic. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I strongly recommend a visit.

My girlfriend and I stopped in to Tao on an impulse and were very impressed. We get massages about 3 times a year and this is one of the best that we have had. The staff was very friendly and the establishment is spotless. I had never had a true Oriental massage before and I found it much more relaxing and thorough than the more "Galleria-esque" spas that we have usually gone to. I was and am still very pleased that I just happened to notice it while driving down the road. Totally worth it.

Simply said, Tao is one of the best, if not the best, legit massage you can get in Myrtle Beach. I discovered Tao a few years ago on a trip to Myrtle, and have been hooked since. Each time I get to Myrtle Beach (once or twice a year), I make sure to schedule some time for a visit to Tao. The Jason Blvd location is clean and spacious. The staff has always been courteous and professional, and the therapists are excellent. My two favorite therapists there are CeiCei and Eva. A couple of other general positives about Tao - it is easy to get to, and they are open on Sunday. I've also had the pleasure of meeting the couple that own/manage Tao, and they are great people who care about their clients and their business. As for the massage itself, like all massage therapy, communication is the key. If you let the therapist know what you want, you'll come away quite pleased. I've gotten Ashiatsu (back walking), standard deep tissue, and relaxing Swedish massage work at Tao, and they do each of the above equally well. There are other therapies they offer as well (Hot stone, Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, and some other body-work options). I'm definitely looking forward to my next trip to Tao.

I went to the location on Kings Highway. I wasn't really sure about it from the outside, but I tried not to judge too much until I got inside. The lobby was small but nicely appointed with chairs. The receptionist was very friendly and although I was early, I didn't have to wait long. That's when the BEST part began. If I didn't say so before, I am a licensed massage therapist and EXTREMELY picky when it comes to massage. My therapist was an absolute PRO! I didn't have to direct her in any way, she just found every spot that needed attention and some I didn't know needed it. This is one of the TOP massages I have ever had, and believe me, I get them regularly. As in every week. Even though she was using deep pressure, I wasn't sore the next day, and I felt like my body could move in ways it hasn't in a long time! If you are thinking about going here, GO! It's an amazing experience and one you won't regret!

Based on reviews from TripAdvisor we tried this location for a massage and did not specifically request anyone but did get CiCi as my therapist, and, my spouse was assigned to Amber. We did not request couples room, but you can. The premises are not upscale, but, they are orderly and clean, if you are looking for mimosas and candles, go elsewhere.. if you are seeking a good value professional massage, call on Tao (or visit their location) A little tricky finding the Jason Street location but once you find it you will be glad! Next to Mercedes dealership! The therapists are reported to be all great.... our experience has been nothing short of remarkable....! Our goal for this our first trip to Myrtle Beach was pampering and relaxation and our objective was truly met by the professionals at Tao.... I know this review sounds like a commercial but we have had cruise ship spa services which are great, and local massage services in our hometown.... These Tao massage services however supersede those with the care and attention provided by the therapists. Also, we met the Tao owner, Marty, who was extremely helpful not only in helping us at the Jason Street location but in helping us understand things to do and restaurants to visit while in Myrtle Beach (very welcoming to us). Based on our first massage services it was easy to decide to schedule additional Services each day we were in town this week. Nothing was a problem for Chris the office supervisor! We will be back in Myrtle Beach SC again soon, and for sure we will make more visits to Tao! Massages in our hometown will never be the same, again!! Marty, many thanks!

Before I even drove off the lot I was looking at more massages that they give and even only being here for a week I'm going to go again before the week is over. I am a licensed massage therapist & when I come home to visit my family I ALWAYS make my appointment to come see Tina & all the wonderful staff. The massage therapist are very knowledgeable about the anatomy & incorporate stretches to their massages. I often get more than one in a weeks visit because I am unable to find a studio where I live that give this type of massage. I workout & often get tight muscles that turn into spasms that require muscle relaxers. If I can get here before that happens I don't have to relay on the pills. I cannot give this Massage Studio enough praise. They are wonderful!

The staff is extremely professional and talented, training for years to perfect their craft. Each masseuse brings their own unique skills to the table for a different but equally satisfying experience every time. On this visit, Sophia paid special attention to my problem areas (back and legs) and always made sure the pressure was just right. The prices are beyond reasonable (they make other places seem like a ripoff). Also, be prepared to add additional to your massage, you'll be glad you did. This time the therapists even incorporated Ashiatsu into our treatments. They provide a nice blend of massage elements- from Asian to Swedish- effective and relaxing. I emailed on a Sunday night looking for a Monday evening deep tissue massage and within one hour I had an appointment. The massage itself was more than advertised (not like that). The masseuse was thorough and careful throughout. There are 30 minute to 2 hour times available. I’ve had massages at spas in Napa Valley and at the Essex in Vermont and the Tao Asian has them beat.

Tao massage is really a hidden oasis that I came across visiting myrtle beach from brooklyn ny. It was literally a block from the Boardwalk so I was able to go for a stroll afterwards. Anyway back to the massage....I walked in and I heard soothing tranquil music, then I was greeted an employee who was friendly and asked me if I was feeling pain and very inquisitive about where my body was suffering. I mean they didn't rush me into a room. They actually assessed my areas of discomfort. I go into the room which was very clean and asked for a deep tissue massage. From the minute the therapist massaged me I was impressed. She brought me such relief that I went for 90minutes. I actually felt a deep spiritual like connection while the woman was working on me. I recommend this place to any person wanting to feel better physically and emotionally. I was visiting for a week and went back again the day before I left. I have been here 5 or 6 times. because my schedule is not flexible, I can't request a specific masseuse. but everytime I leave I feel better than when I walked in the door.today was the deepest massage I've ever had she was on my back with her knees sliding up and down my back working out every knot in every muscle that I had.another masseuse has a similar technique where she stands up on the table and uses her feet to work deeper into my back, and legs. every masseuse has a different technique and I am just as pleased every time I get my massage.

My therapist was incredible. I arrived at Myrtle Beach from Orlando with terrible neck pain and did a google search and found Tao. I explained that I could barely turn my head and the receptionist suggested I get a hot stone massage. The entire massage experience was awesome and Monica released the tension and pressure that had built up in my neck and shoulders area. My Christmas vacation would of been ruined had I not gotten help from Monica for this issue. I highly recommended the Tao spa and if I could I would give more than the five star rating allowed.

Absolutely amazing massage! Best I have had in town. Been twice now because I don't ever write review after the first time, generally. Both times very professional, and they will put a hurt on you deep tissue if you have a lot of muscle tissue or are really tight. It's nice that they're open until 9pm because realistically it's hard for me to get free time before 6 most days.

Im writing this review after my 3rd positive visit to Tao. The first time I came here I didnt know what to expect only from reading their reviews. I told the receptionist about my aches, pains & body issues and then she assigned a massage therapist for me. Also, I felt very reassured as I noticed that the massage therapists had their SC massage licenses displayed next to the reception counter. After I went onto the table I knew I was in good hands. Her skillfull techniques were just amazing. My tight sore body was kneaded, loosened, stretched and soothed. She intuitively knew exactly how much pressure I needed using some awesome acupressure techniques. Ive had massage therapy for years but nothing compared to her healing body work. All three times Ive had different therapists and they were all extraordinary in their own ways. The spa is clean and the atmoshere is serene with tranquil music. This is definetely experienced, professional massage therapy at its finest. Highly recommend!!!

I've gotten tired of telling therapists where my problem areas are and having them completely miss them. So I don't bother most of the time. Cici didn't need to be told. She found all the areas and really helped. She was great with deep tissue, a rare find. I wish I were here longer and could go back to get again.

We get massages at Tao Asian Massage every time we're in Myrtle, which is at least 14 times a year....and we get a minimum of 2 hours each time. (One hour just doesn't seem to be enough time, and the experience is too relaxing to limit it to 1 hour.) The therapists are all extremely professional, experienced, and very accommodating. What they provide is beyond the typical "rub down" type of massage. The therapists have an uncanny ability of finding exactly where the knots and tension are located in and around the muscles. They know exactly how much pressure to apply to work out the knots and tension. It is no less then AMAZING!!! I highly recommend Tao Asian Massage if you're looking for a truly amazing massage experience!

I spend as much time here as possible when at home. I work on the road. The therapist Ci Ci is my go to girl. She has so much knowledge and talent for massage therapy it is incredible. I have had a hip replaced and have a problem with numbness in my leg. She has worked with me two times in the last two weeks last night was also a 3 hour session. Today I have more feeling in my thigh than I have had in a year and many months. I have also had the pleasure of having Lucy massage me also, this woman is very strong. I have been getting massages at Tao for about 8 years now and they are simply the best. Tina only hires the most skilled massage therapist and matches the right therapist to your needs. As I'm getting older this has become medicine for me. I play golf and they help increase my range of motion. The massage also increases my circulation and comfort level. When I called to set up an appointment the man on the phone was very informative and seemed to care about what I was saying. The experience there was extremely relaxing and just what my wife and I needed. One piece of advice i would have to give is make sure that your toenails are groomed cause when the woman massaged my feet, her hands kept getting caught on my toenails. Wish I would of clipped them. Other than that awesome worth the money
