The setup is in a private basement of a commercial building. John lets you know where your problem spots are. Almost dozed off during my time there. However, anyone looking for a strong intense massage should consider elsewhere as I found his strokes to be lighter than most. Also, those that easily get distracted by noise may not enjoy the walking creeks heard from the upstairs business.

I had my first massage with John last night and it was such a great experience! John is truly a master of his craft. I went in as a tightly wound ball of stress, and come out feeling so much better. John really worked on my neck; I was carrying a lot of tension there which caused headaches. My whole body feels great now. John gets everything worked out in a very gentle, caring manner. I have had severe neck and upper back pain stemming from a flare up of my herniated disks. I could barely turn my neck all the way. Today I had a 75 min massage that was completely therapeutic. Looking back I should have spent the extra money and went for either 90 min or even 2hrs. Let me be clear there are parts of this that are very uncomfortable trying to loosen knots. It still has soreness afterward but it is much looser and I’m looking forward to how I will feel tomorrow.He hit spots I didn’t realize were there. This was exactly what I needed and I was able to get a same day appointment. (Huge plus!!) If you are looking for relaxation go for a Swedish massage but if you are in pain and need a medicinal therapeutic massage then I highly recommend the deep tissue massage!! Thank you John and you may see me again next week for a relaxing Swedish massage or a hot stone depending on how I feel!!

I just had a wonderful deep tissue massage with John.I only come in Providence once a year but I'll know to rewritten to John when in town. John is a dedicated massage therapist. He does an excellent job on my troubled spots and works out the kinks. He can do very deep tissue massage that can be quite painful with other practitioners but John checks in with you to apply the appropriate pressure for your condition. I have received massages everywhere - big establishments like Massage Envy (overrated), small establishments, at the mall, on vacation, on cruises, at home, etc. I have never had a massage like the one I received by John. Hands down, THE BEST massage I have received in my life. Put simply, if you want to feel 100% better TODAY, go on the website, book an appointment, and show up. You will not regret it. I for one will be seeing him regularly now. Note: I do not know him personally, I did not get a discount for writting a review, and I am not exagerating. I promise you, you will leave the session a new man/woman. Also, the place looks new, big, and very clean. Parking is on site. Never had a better massage!!! I have been receiving massages from John for almost 3 years now after finding him through Groupon. I have tight shoulders and neck pain from sitting at a computer and John does wonder with his deep tissue massage. His massages are an an amazing value, you will not be disappointed. John never pushes me out the door, if anything our sessions run a little over each time as John wants to make sure he has addressed all my areas. He continues to do continuing education in his field and expand his base of services, he really cares about his craft and customers. I wish I could give Quality Massage Now more than 5 stars! John is amazing at his art and craft. I've been 3 times now, and he's given me the best, most " thorough" and well thought out massage and stretching that I've ever had. He listens to you, focusses in a therapeutic way on the areas of the most tension and/or pain and gets right into it without hurting you. You're sore the next day, but that's to be expected. I often leave feeling like I just had a really tense "workout" at a gym. That's how my muscles feel after. I have a bunch of extra energy the following days because he's released toxins, got the "happy" chemicals flowing, and reduced pain in a big way. I look forward to my future sessions with him. His studio is beautiful, contemporary, and comfortable. He is based out of the Prima Deana full service salon in Warwick, just across from AAA. Very good location John is easy to talk to about what feels good and what doesn't and he adjusts just as he needs to. He is very respectful and just the best massage therapist I've ever seen. He is very educated in his tecniques, plus offers a variety of different types and combos of massage and Thai stretching at a very reasonable price! I can't imagine anyone being sorry they were treated by him. Bookings online get a small discount as well. I believe he offers a birthday discount too. You should try him too! I've been a member of a massage service chain for over a year. Unfortunately l, the qualiry has deteriorated so I decided to end my membership. Since then, I have been trying to find a good place where I can get some deep tissue massage without ending up bruised and in pain. John went ro our office to provide chair massages. The 15-minute session was so relaxing that I asked for his card and scheduled an appointment. I'm glad I did. I just came back from a 2-week business trip and was sore and tired from several hours of traveling due to cancelled flights and from lugging my work gear. The session was exactly what I needed. John noticed problem areas without me even mentioning them. I left the place feeling relaxed and free from the aches I was complaining about before I went for my massage session. John is the most professional massage therapist I have ever been to; and I have been going for years. When I use to live in Florida and come back to RI...my first appointment I would make would be with John. He is always learning new techniques; takes his time; and makes sure you feel the best you can, before you leave. Not only is he the best I have been to; but you can NOT beat his prices. I will put four stars for now. The massage seems to have really helped the issue I have, which involves tension and tightness in my neck and upper back, mostly on the left hand side, which can cause pulling on a lower-down area, and is partly cause because I play the pipe organ, where your left arm spends more time in an unnatural position than your right arm. But, the way things work, you can't always tell for sure at first how much a certain treatment regimen helps, it takes time to be able to fully judge.

He's very professional, great at putting you at ease, and meets each client where they are (whether its part of a healing process, a wellness massage, etc.). I was in a car accident a few months back and between the traditional as well as Thai massages, he's helped me come a long way. John has a plan when I come in, but always checks how my pain was the past week to make any adjustments to the plan prior to starting the massage.
