As you know, we do not usually stop to put evaluations when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

The clinic is very warm and inviting. My therapist was a student though you wouldn’t think it. He was very knowledgable, a great listener and gave me the exact treatment that I needed. I fell asleep! So relaxing and wonderful. This is a great affordable option for massage that I do at least once a month for maintenance. It’s nice to try out different therapists each time, but you can pick your favorites for the length of the semester until they graduate.

Student really new what they were doing. Felt much better after the session.

I had an excellent massage by one of their students, Earl. He was phenomenal! He was a great listener and incorporated what I wanted to have done and checked in several times to make sure I was doing okay or whether I needed anything to be different. His skills were exceptional, especially as a student. I've received massages since 1992 all around the US and other countries (Canada, Australia).

Denise Schroeder

Excellent therapuetic program with very talanted instructor staff. 1 year program with a thorough list of courses. I would do it all over again. Very worthwhile!

I went to the East West College based on reviews online and was pleased by the clean, attractive clinic and the extremely pleasant and friendly front office staff. I received an excellent student massage and am looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks. As with any school, your chances of getting a very good massage depends on the skills of the student. Being a"clinic" experience, don't expect a totally private atmosphere. Fabric separates the spaces, so it's likely you'll hear some sounds from neighboring cubicles. It's generally quiet and possible to focus on your massage. The cost is very reasonable. Note: Be sure to get there early so you have time to fill out the intake forms and relax a bit before your student is ready for you. Parking is a challenge, so leave extra time for that. The website and appointment confirmation emails have good information.

The East West College is located near the convention center and near public transit stops for the max and street cars. There is metered parking surrounding the block that the school is located on as well. They have a shop where you can purchase East West College of the healing Arts merchandise as well as oils and lotions. I am not a student for this college but I do take advantage of the student massages held on the third level of the college. The massages are 30$ and in the state of Oregon students aren’t allowed to accept tips. This is a great deal and very reasonable compared to other massages that I received from more expensive places! I have had a couple different therapists and they all have different styles which I really appreciate. The massage starts with you checking in with the receptionist, Nikki is very professional and sweet, they give you paperwork to fill out which then your therapists comes out and discusses it with you checks in with there professor then they come get you to start your massage. The massage room is dim and has soothing music playing. Each room has a bed and a curtain to block you off from others. You can occasionally hear other therapist speaking to their clients but it’s minimal. The massage lasts for 40-50 mins depending on how fast you get through paperwork! At the end you help the therapist/student let them know what you liked and didn’t like and fill out a worksheet expressing how the massage went. All in all massages are great and it’s great to support these therapists along there journey to become a licensed therapist. To sign up just go on there website and create an account! Boom! ;-)

I go as often as I can. These are students practicing and honing the skills that they have been learning since starting school so they will be ready to get their license. So many skilled therapists! I have always gotten great work done whether it be a relaxation massage or focused work. I love having each therapist try out their different modalities! Ask them what they have been studying and give it a try! Great stuff!

Camille Bernal

Check in desk people were pleasantly playful and the massage student was conscientious and gave helpful advice on what body work was needed.

Lilli Zeeberg

I recently received a free student massage at East West college Massage clinic. The check in was easy and everyone was very professional. I received a wonderful relaxing massage from a warm and friendly student. She was professional and tuned in to my needs. Before I left she gave me advice about stretching . It was a positive experience.

Was in Portland for a conference, went for a run and pulled my calf. With a race looming I needed some treatment. I am so impressed by this school. I happen to get two appointments within 3 days and with their alumni who seem to be really pleased working where the graduated from. I got some fantastic thoughtful massages that really helped me get moving again and hopefully not miss a beat preparing for my race. Both therapists listened and were very caring. The facilities were very nice and I would recommend this place for treatment to everyone.

Joeseph Hall

The best massage school on the west coast. Everyone is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The student massage clinic offers low cost hour massages monday through thursday and they are very great quality!

Moni D

These guys are great! They have a surprisingly peaceful therapeutic massage experience, and all the students I have met are very professional. Definitely recommend.

Dee Griffin

I was told to arrive early but I still had to wait 15-20 minutes beyond the start time before the massage started. So, you really do not get your full 45 minutes. For years, I have been told to arrive early but it does not seem to matter if you come early or not. I have had just as much luck arriving 5 minutes before vs. 15 minutes before. Otherwise, it is an economical choice for a massage. Both the student and you benefit.

Heart Flow

Gabriel delivered a focused therapeutic treatment for me. He listened to my needs and completely transformed my stress packed joints into feeling like new. I can't wait to come back. Ps. I myself am an LMT and have helped train students and employees being a managing / Lead therapist :) Gabriel will contribute immensely to the community and our work . Thank You Gabe -Genevieve

Jan 28 2019 - Exceptional integrity & quality body work practiced by Emma. I noticed (overheard) the same thread, of knowledge & professionalism, conveyed by other students w/their patients. East West must be running a tight ship for training students. Your mileage won't vary.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Student & Alumni massage is excellent! Parking is average price for Portland. I have been coming here frequently for the last year and I've never had my car broken into. Dont leave things visible in your car. Very accessible via Tri-met also.

Mary Tindall

I'm an alumni and I love coming to this clinic! The student clinic is a great low cost option, the alumni clinic has fair prices as well. Due to my schedule I've started coming to the alumni clinic more so and always enjoy it. I got a massage from Susie last Friday and she did a really great job! If you like heat make sure to request a hot hydro pack, they're the best! I recommend this place to everyone and I will surely be back.

Louis Cozzetto

Consistently excellent massages from both the student clinic and the alumni. This school makes some of the best bodyworkers out there and the clinic allows you to have access to their superior skill at an affordable rate. Shout out to David Parent: I have received a couple massages from him and he is an extremely competent bodyworker! He is able to effectively read and work with my tissue in such a way that my body feels the benefits long after the massage! Will definitely be going back to him.

Michael Kubler

I always appreciate the care here. It’s nice and low-key with a solid focus on what brought you in; be it just looking for relaxation or specific care for an injury. I was seen by Annie C., one of the alumni. She did a great job working with my injured shoulder. She’s skilled at sensing how hard to push the care, maximizing the therapy and keeping it within what I can manage.

Casey Keller

Great service for a great price, and your helping the therapists get a start on their career.

The massage clinic at east west college is welcoming and professional. I received a wonderful massage from Tyler. He has great communication skills, is confident in his technique, and has a kind healing touch.

Heather Payenna

I had Gabe as a masseur. He was great and very accommodating. I was hoping to get a early start as I finished my conference early for the day, Gabe arrived 15 minutes early to get started as soon as possible. Gabe checked often if the pressure was okay, offered stretches and advice after the massage was over for muscles that were giving me trouble, and created a very trusting environment.

Sarah Silliman Vinson

Raeleen Hunter

This is a wonderful place to get a reasonably priced massage while helping a massage student fine tune their craft!

Cedar Mana

I receive monthly massage from a staff member and all I can say is if my visits were weekly it would be my idea of heaven.

Martrese Beck

I had an OUTSTANDING Thai massage with Gabriel, who helped with some sore points from running. VERY convenient to my office, a great value for the price, I already scheduled my next appointment!

I'm an LMT of 27 years & altho I have lots of trades & sometimes buy massages, I still utilize East -West College of Healing Arts' Student Massage Clinic on occasion. (1) Because I know the students need 1st-hand experience to developed their skills & style, & I want to support that, (2) Because I sometimes just need 30 min for a specific issue & regular therapists usually don't do just 30 min, (3) It's easy to book & I usually find a day & time that works for me within a week (many LMT's like myself are booked out weeks in advanced), & (4) I'm always pleased with the session & have my needs addressed well. Everyone at the desk is friendly & attentive, the space is clean & accommodating, & meeting new people with a desire to serve is always an uplifting experience. ~~ You should recognize, tho, that this is Not a fast-paced situation. Parking around the school is challenging because of the Convention Center near by as well as government offices, etc. (The Trolly drops you off right at the school). There's a bit of dialoging before & after the sessions as the students have to assess & document everything & consult their instructor as well. With that in mind, allowing plenty of time & having an open & willing perspective, I'm sure you will be pleased. ~~ Oh! Did I mention that the price was right? $30

Levi Campbell

East West has always been amazing to and for me. Had an excellent bodywork session from Mary in the Alumni clinic! Thank you so much!

Jennifer Hayes

Having been both a student and a client at this college and massage clinic I can confidently say that this is the place to go! All the staff are phenomenal and therefore the students are great as well. You can get a quality massage for a great price and have the opportunity to write feedback for the massage students that can shape their future massages. I had a wonderful experience with a lady who was very patient and professional, yet friendly. I will be going back to experience more massages from these students for their unique skills and insights.

I just got a massage from the student clinic this week. $30 for 45 minutes. The student was professional and knowledgeable. She really listened to what I needed and did her best to help me with my back issues. I felt way better after! I didn't want to leave and I will for sure be back! Highly recommend!
