Like many people I have a history of low back pain. I had a herniated disc 8 months ago with associated numbness in my lower leg and foot which arrived with severe cramping in my calf. The cramping has left a big knot that has remained in my calf for the last 8 months. Sometimes it cramps, sometimes it isn't noticeable but the knot is always there. I have had varying results with massages over the years but thought it was a possible solution so I called and discussed it with Onnie. She was encouraging without offering any guarantee which I appreciate. I was anticipating excruciating pain involved in any attempt to relieve this knot because it was large and had been there for so long. Onnie did such a wonderful job that I barely had a twinge of pain. I am so thankful for her help. The knot is gone after one session but I'm sure I will be back.

When you have back pain or any pain for that matter, in your own city, you know where to get a good massage. But I was on vacation visiting my Mom in Cincinnati, so I had no idea where to go. I read a several reviews on Yelp, and found Garage Massage & Bodywork in Madeira. It was listed as “one of the best 10 massages in Madeira,” and it was close so I just decided to go for it. And I’m really glad that I did. Onnie gave me one of the best massages of my life! I raved so much about this to my entire family that my Mom, who’s 86, decided to give them a try too! Now, the Garage Massage has two huge fans! Trust me, if you need a massage and are lucky enough to live in the city of Cincinnati, RUN, don’t walk!!! You’ll be glad you did.

The Garage is amazing! Each therapist there gives a uniquely wonderful massage. The office is quiet and not at all creepy as some places can be. Laura is my go-to and is always happy to tailor my massage to whatever my body is needing. After suffering with major back/neck/shoulder pain for years, regular visits to Laura have done what no other therapist could do. Get rid of the knots and keep them gone! I have been going here regularly for the past 4 months and cannot day enough good things about The Garage and especially Laura!

Today was my first time at The Garage, and I am VERY impressed! I'm not into frou frou or fancy when it comes to massages- I want them to get in there and get the sense that they know their stuff. Which is exactly what happened at The Garage. I don't have specific areas of pain that I want fixed, but I do work out quite a bit, plus sit at a desk/answer phones the majority of the day. Onnie (my therapist) knew exactly where there was tension and dang, did she work it out! The lobby and rooms are clean and welcoming, and the location is very convenient. If you want a no-nonsense yet amazing massage, give them a call, you won't regret it!

The Garage is the place to help you relax and feel energized. Just had my first appointment with Onnie, and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. Her knowledge of pressure points and muscles is incredible, her ability to sense the right amount of pressure was awesome. She is always checking on you and how the massage is going. I would give this place 10 starts plus, but Google only allows 5! It had been like 9 months since my last massage and in 90 minutes, my body felt much, much more relaxed compared to when I came in. I very highly recommend The Garage for both men and women, very professional, courteous, and just flat out incredible. Thank you Onnie, and I can't wait to see you again at my next appointment!

The Garage Massage & Bodywork is fantastic. It was highly recommended by many people on my local facebook page with recommendations for every massage therapist there. For your first visit you fill out a form about your history and current issues. This isn't tossed aside like it may be at a shop more focused on general relaxation. I see Onnie and from the first visit and each since she asks what issues I'm currently having and where I want to focus. This is a very focused deep tissue massage rather than a full body that is focused on relaxing. Onnie knows her stuff! Focusing on very specific pin pointed areas that are holding the most tension. I used to get massages and always left feeling 'relaxed' but still in pain. Onnie checks in with you, before during and after each massage to make sure she's getting the right spots, with the right pressure and helping in the areas you're having trouble with. They suggest the frequency you should come back based on your current issues but the massages aren't cheap (but none are and it's not pricier than anywhere else I've been) but they understand the financial commitment and don't pressure you into coming more frequently then you feel you're able. They always have availability between the massage therapists and send out emails when they have last minute openings or are running special deals, so you never have to wait long if you're in pain. If you've never had a massage or are looking for an intense massage that will do wonders, absolutely give this place a try!

Onnie was awesome, made me feel comfortable, and most of all it actually felt like my body was being worked on. After a bunch of time going to a chain place I will be going to Onnie from now on. She listened to what was bothering me and worked on making it feel better. I would recommend her to anyonr.

The Garage is wonderful,and Tom is an absolute life saver. I called for a last minute appointment because I was in major pain, and found out later that Tom had come in on his day off because I, a person he had never met before, was suffering and he wanted to help. Lucky me that he did because he is a phenomenal healer. I'd never had a massage before and he made me feel instantly at ease, which never wavered in the hour I was on the table. He asked how much chat I was comfortable with - none, lots - we chatted throughout and as he found what felt like every knot in my back and hips, I found out that he used to be a wrestler and has switched to bodywork, and now works on people like the Cincinnati Cyclones players (no job too big, it seems!). All in all, he's a wonderful masseuse and I'm incredibly lucky to have been able to get an appointment with him. I'll absolutely be back!

I first met Onnie at The Garage several years ago when I was living in Cincinnati and doing a lot of power lifting. I saw her fairly regularly for some low back pain and elbow tendonitis. She really gets how weightlifting, cross fit, and a sedentary job can affect your body and she is excellent at using massage to help deal with areas of pain or discomfort. I moved away three years ago to northeast KY and it was no longer convenient for me to see her. After having several issues this year and seeing multiple chiropractors with limited success, I drove an hour and a half for a massage with Onnie. Best decision ever! I truly felt so much better after the massage. I will continue to make the drive in the future because I know that what she does really helps. Totally worth it! I highly recommend The Garage.
