I called to schedule my appointment and was very specific with my requirements because I am looking for a masseuse that I can go to once a month. I spoke to Brittany and told her I wanted a very experienced male masseuse based on certification and experience. She suggested 2 gentlemen. I again expressed the need for them to be very knowledgeable and experienced as I wanted to identify a replacement for my masseuse of 9 years (he moved). She confirmed my request and even stated she had been on both of their tables and the 2 gentlemen she suggested were great. I arrived to my appointment and found out the masseuse was certified in September of 2018. He was extremely kind however the results reflected his experience. In addition, the 60 minute massage was more like 49 minutes. I called the establishment and spoke to a lead supervisor (Rachel) who made excuses for Brittany instead of owning that fact that I was NOT provided what I requested. During my conversation with the lead supervisor, I learned that the 2 masseuse that were offered to me were BOTH certified 3 months ago! Clearly this establishment lacks integrity and to mitigate my issue, I was offered some free enhancements (addons) if I got another massage. Don’t waste your time or money with this location. You do NOT get what you pay for! I will NEVER patronize Massage Envy again.

I usually go to the High Point location; however, I recently moved closer to the Lawndale location. I called around 9pm to make an appointment. Someone picked up the phone, then hung up without saying anything. I tried again. I was sent directly to voicemail... they close at 10pm. It would have been one thing if the phone rang then went to voicemail because they were busy. But the fact that someone picked up then immediately hung up.... that is just RUDE!!! I will NEVER go there... and I'm actually a loyal customer/ member who has referred several people. So I'll be canceling my membership and making sure my friends know about the terrible customer service. (Especially since I've had friends tell me how bad this location is... then experienced it for myself).

I have had many massages and they have been good but the problem is getting appointments. They talk you into a membership and you can't get an appointment. I am going to cancel my membership.

Check in process was great and professional! The massage was terrible, the therapist did not know what she was doing. When the massage was over she forgot to wipe all the lube off my body. I'm a male with a lot of body hair, it dryed and curl it up. I had to shave my leg hairs, it was extremely painful. Do not recommend this place to anyone..

I really want to cancel my membership ship. When they beg me to get the membership. I didn't know any rules or whatever ( they didn't explaine anything) just monthly withdrawal!!!! I just wish I could have picked wisely... I just hate it I wish they would cancel me!!!

I do not recommend joining and letting them do bank drafts, once you cancel your membership , they continue to draft your account, regardless of how you stress you do not want to be drafted again, they had 17 days to cancel and still claimed they did not have time to stop the draft, now I have waited days for a manager to call me to correct their error, this is how they make their money , by continuing to draft your account when you have signed cancellation papers.

I've called multiple times to make an appointment and no one ever answers the phone and it goes to voicemail. I leave a message and have yet to receive a call back. I guess they don't want my business. I'll go elsewhere.

The management at this massage envy charged me a cancellation fee for showing up on time for my appointment instead of the suggested 15 minutes early. My newborn needed tending to so I couldn't come early, but I was there on time. And I showed up! They told me my 55 min massage was only going to be 25 mins, but would still be the same price. What?! So naturally I opted to reschedule because I wasn't going to pay for a service when I wouldn't get the whole time I was paying for. How can you charge me a cancellation fee when I was there?? When I called the manager to have it removed she refused. I had to go through corporate, which was still reluctant to refund the fee. After weeks of fighting it, I finally got a refund. What happened to pleasing the customer? I will never return to any massage envy.

I have always enjoyed having a massage. I've never had a problem with any therapist at this Massage Envy until yesterday. Casey walked out 25 min, before my session was suppose to end. I had told her that the pressure was too hard during the deep tissue. Then it was so light that I couldn't feel anything. Big mistake on my part because she got an attitude with me. And informed me that there was no in between. So she continued with applying too much pressure. Today I have bruises on my back, from being ignored. And I am in immense pain.... No one should leave feeling worse than when they went in for a massage!!

I went today with a lot of lower back pain. When Kim was finished with me I felt like a million dollars !!! She asked me where I was hurting and explained what she was going to do and then executed perfectly !!!! I loved it so much that I signed up for a membership and will definitely continue to get those wonderful massages ❤️

The massages are great my back doesn't hurt anymore and the employees are nice.the place is clean but I had some back problems the next day I don't no if that's supposed to happen but just in case I'm giving 4 stars.

Depending on who is at the desk at Massage Envy your experience can be unprofessional and unpleasant. I have been a member of Massage Envy for about two years and for the most part I've been satisfied. However, I had a very bad experience with the clinical manager as well as another assistant so much that I decided to discontinue my membership. Customer service is key and I asked a question and neither of them went out of their way to help me, until I mentioned that I was dissatisfied with how I was being treated, body language and all. Not acceptable when we have choices. Please get it right people have options. I received excellent customer service at the same location in May of 2015 and returned to request the same service and was treated in a unprofessional manner. I told them that although, I liked the therapist I could find a place that valued my business.

The masseuse was great, however, when you pay for a 60 minute massage, I expect to get a 60 minute massage. I arrived for my appointment 20 minutes early and was brought back into the room 15 minutes after my appointment time and the massage was complete 10 minutes early! When I was asked what was stopping me from purchasing a monthly membership, I explained that it was cost related. I can tell you for sure that I will not be purchasing a monthly membership when especially when I you don't get a full 60 minutes...

Not happy going to the ER my toe on my bad foot which I told them about is dislocated and I'm having sharp pain threw my whole leg. My husband is the one who got me thinking I can trust more people with my foot. So I'm not coming back I wish my husband good luck....

Our masseuse Kim, was really really great. The customer service is awful. My husband has a contract for a monthly massage and he has called several times to make an April appointment. Here we are just a few days away from May and they have not called him back. I'm worried we will be charged and not actually receive services. I'm also worried that we have a business agreement with a company who values profit so highly over its customers' satisfaction. Of course this is not SO unusual, but it is incredibly ironic that a massage place has caused me so much stress. Massage Envy uses high pressure sales tactics to get you to sign up for monthly massages. And then, when you do, they pretty much don't care about you anymore, because they are going to get your money either way. I hope my opinion changes, as we are obligated to continue our contract, but, we'll see.

I would like to start off by saying that my masseuse was WONDERFUL. Only she could get my kinks and knots out. Her name is Kim. I HIGHLY recommend her. Massage Envy? Not so much. For starters, they don't tell you when your membership ends so you end up getting charged month to month anyway... So make sure you keep track of how many months of membership you have left... otherwise they will keep charging you monthly. Second, I am not happy with the price increase.... seriously, no thanks. I will not be paying +$64 per month for this. Even though I would love to see Kim again. The costumer service is hit/ miss. I had some wonderful people greet me and I have had some very rude receptionists on the phone.

I went there having muscle problems in my back and shoulder, the deep tissue massage has done wonders. Still a little ways to go but it is much better, the people here have been very nice and professional.

Check in was great. I paid for a 90 minute massage that was 70 minutes. I was 15 minutes early to make sure we start on time but the therapist decided she was going to start 10 minutes late. She finished early and walked out exactly 11 minutes early giving me time to “get dressed”. Other places I’ve gone they ask you to come in early so the massage can start right at your appointment time and end exactly 90 minutes after that. Not this place. And they had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to schedule a follow up knowing I was not satisfied with my services.

Tried to make an appointment today. When I told them of my multitude of allergies and asked to bring my own oil they told me of their high quality products and seemed offended that I wouldn’t use them! I mean really? I. Am. Allergic. I carry an Epi pen for this allergy. I understand their policy of using their own products but it’s not like I just don’t care for their products. I am allergic. Anyway...long story short...they would not make an exception. So basically they discriminate against people with a medical condition. And to top it off I have a gift card I can’t use. Poor poor customer service!

Today was my first experience at Massage Envy. I had Lauren do my massage and she was amazing. I am a nurse so I spend a lot of time lifting and walking and being on my feet. She really focused in on my problem areas in my shoulder and was always making sure I was comfortable. The place is very relaxed with dimly lit lights, VERY clean and a truly relaxing atmosphere. I had never had a massage before so I wasn't sure what to expect but all of the staff were very helpful and reassuring. It was probably the best investment I've made this month. I actually became a member at the end of my session and I will be seeing Lauren again next month. I absolutely love Massage Envy and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing afternoon.

Although the massages have always been excellent I give the business less than a star if I could. I cannot wait until my contract is up. I can't ever seem to get an appointment when I really need it. I have even tried to call nearly a month in advance and was not able to schedule the type of massage I needed. They have very few people who are allowed to give hot stone massages and I would love to know when the hell they work because I can't ever get an appointment for one. This place pisses me off to no end. I work in GSO but live towards Asheboro and I am not going to go home from work only to go back three hours later for a massage. They either need more staff or a bigger place to accommodate clients. So angry

No longer a member. So i had $60 credit which they refuse to honor because i took over 3 months to use my paid for service. Be caeful if you sign up for a membetship. They will steal your $$.

I was charged for an appointment that was rescheduled! While my spouse was receiving his rescheduled massage at 11:00 am, I received a phone call from Brittany at 11:33 am stating that I would be charged 50% of the original appointment at 9:00 am. She stated that there were no notes stating that I rescheduled the previous appointment. Massage Envy is a total ripoff. While you are there, the staff is constantly shoving products and service deals down your throat. In May of this year, I also had an issue with their location in Burlington. We scheduled a massage for Mother's Day weekend with a female therapist and out comes a male to take me back! We were threatened again that we would be charged for their mistake! There are tons of other places where the customer service is great and the staff is experienced and polite! Massage Envy's corporate office should really consider having someone visit their locations to observe.

Fantastic Service. Very Friendly and Thorough. I asked for Gwendolyn and was surprised by some of the techniques she used for my facial. I was amazed at how good my skin looked after the session and how long it lasted! Ive never seen my skin look so healthy! The products she used were very good quality and it was a great experience. I recommend to anyone who is deciding whether to choose this place for treatments.

Warning! If you set up an appointment for someone as a gift, or just to be nice. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY give them your credit number because they will bamboozle you if that person makes another appointment or they say that person made another appoinment and will charge your card. I was told by the manager they don't have time to check credit cards on file to see who the card belongs too. In this society today where you need a password to open your phone or to pay your own bills, this establishment can just charge your card and you didn't make the second appoinment or either was the appoinment for you. #corporatepolicy #identifyfraud

John is amazing hands down!! I would recommend him over the rest. However the front desk staff are horrible. They kill the total experience. They are cordial, not at all friendly. They never offer to sell me any products and today I walked up to the counter to check out and there were 2 girls at the counter. One just looked at me and didn't say a word as she sat on a stool. The other was looking into the office. Eventually another girl came out of the office and checked me out. A simple, "Someone will be with you in a moment ma'am" or something of that nature would have been appropriate and then when the girl came out there she had no smile and she is always that way. They don't ask if you are interested in any of the retail or anything. I asked about the monthly special and she said,"I always have a monthly special". No smile and as if she was offended. Well, what is it and maybe I'm interested maybe not but with that demeanor NO THANKS. My 3 stars are all for John. Front desk needs a lot of improvement with courtesy and basic customer service and a smile always helps.
