As I lay face down on the table I couldn't shake the feeling I was bein watched. I looked up to see someone standing in the room. So much for a relaxing massage. I was then told she was training. Wth that's what massage school is for and I should have been asked first. The massage felt nice but I couldn't relax at all. Waist of my time and money

Went for a foot massage I suffer from neuropathy. The owner was very detailed about my issues and relayed them to the reflexologist who did a very good intense but well needed leg and foot massage. She also applied extra cream for my dry legs. My feet fell so much better and it was hard to fight off going to sleep. Very worth the $35

Be advised about their tipping policy before you go! The massage was good, not excellent. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse, but evidently my 20% tip wasn’t good enough. The masseuse seemed very upset by the amount I gave her, and kept pointing to a sign on the wall (which I didn’t see until after I had given her the tip) of what I guess the establishment deems what an appropriate tip should be, which is over 20%. Even if I saw the sign before the session started, it wouldn’t have made a difference, as I tip based on my own personal experience, not by a sign on the wall. When I arrived for my appointment, I was taken directly to a room by a very nice lady at the front desk, and the room was clean. There isn’t a door, but a curtain, and the walls don’t go all the way to the ceiling, so anything outside of the room can be heard. There is soft music playing overhead, but I was the only customer in the facility, so I know the voices I heard were from other employees talking to each other, which was very distracting. Up until, what felt like a confrontation with me about the amount of the tip at the end when I was getting ready to leave, I was thinking of returning to try a reflexology session. That isn’t going to happen, and I can’t and won’t recommend Union Square Foot and Body Works to anyone. Maybe management needs to inform the employees to be more gracious and accept the gratuity that is given in a more respectful manner. Also, when I went to pay with my credit card (which they say that they accept on their website) I was pointed to the ATM that they have in the front waiting area. I guess that they don’t accept credit cards, only cash. This is an update from my initial review in regards to the "response from the owner" that had been sent. To the owner of Union Square Foot Body Massage, Thank you for your response to my review, as it appears that you have addressed some of my concerns. I would like to point out two things that may not have been conveyed to you properly from the employees that I mentioned in my review. Firstly, I had tipped the masseuse in cash as I approached the front desk before even paying my bill, so there couldn’t have been an issue or misunderstanding with trying to leave the tip on a credit card. Secondly, when I asked the man at the front desk if credit cards were accepted to pay my bill, he didn’t answer me, he just pointed to the ATM, so I took that as a no, and if I didn’t have cash on me, I would have to get cash from the ATM.

Only complaint is that there are only curtains separating massage areas, so you hear whatever is going on outside of your space, which for a few minutes included a crying child. Fortunately, the massage was so good that I wasn't overly distracted. Will definitely go back.

Went here for the first time , so pleasantly surprised ! It's peaceful, relaxing and immaculate. The owner Jane greeted me and took me right in since I had an appointment. The massage was amazing. I paid for an hour massage but they don't even count the time , it was longer than an hour and since I was so relaxed she let me stay additional time without extra charges ! I needed one from working and standing on my feet all day , this is a treat once a week for me . Next time I will bring all my girlfriends for a spa day . I can't wait to come back again next week . You leave feeling so relaxed and refreshed ! The prices are so reasonable I've checked around this is much more affordable and so much better in comparison to other places in the area . Give it a try you'll love it !

I had been experiencing intense hip and calf pain from too much running, and the therapist really got to the root of the problem to give me almost immediate relief, and got me back to running pain free again. I purchased a couples massage through Groupon as a gift for my son and his girlfriend. (Ages 30 and 26, not kids.) First, it turns out that the Groupon price wasn’t actually a savings, just an inflated price to look like a savings. Next, this business was not happy to have them come in with a Groupon, so why put your business there. They were treated poorly and the massages were just so-so, minimal at best. They had to pay the tax, not an issue, this happens sometimes, however I’ve never paid tax for services like this before. ( No tax for haircuts, manicures, facials etc.). Money for tip was also mentioned to them. At the end of the hour the timer went off and the masseuses just walked out. No mention of “relax a little” etc as a nice salon/spa would do. I was disappointed to find that this gift I gave was unpleasant (painful massage for my son and the masseus stuck her fingers in his ears, ooooh). It wasn’ t much better for his girlfriend. All clients should be treated the same. I would not recommend this place of business.

THE BEST MASSAGE EVER!! I found Union Square Foot Body Massage on a web search. I read the reviews on the website and was pleased that customers had nice comment. I have had numerous massages in the past and am very picky. I have no tolerance for dirty environments. They were polite and courteous over the phone when I explained that this deep-tissue massage would be a birthday gift for my husband. We were greeted by a pleasant and professional woman at the front desk. She asked my husband what type of oil he would like for his massage. The place was clean and had no smell. They played soft meditation-type music in the background. There were plenty of clean and "Lilly White" towels available for guests. I decided on a one hour reflexology treatment. My appointment began with a neck, shoulder, arm, hand and back massage. I did not expect that. These additional treatments helped me further enjoy my foot massage. This was undoubtedly the BEST massage that I ever had. The hosts were kind, polite, and respectful. I plan, not only to re-visit soon, but to make these massage treatments a part of my regular self-pampering.

I would definitely return for a foot massage. I have had reflexology treatments in other places, and this 60 minute foot massage was comprehensive, as it included lower legs, and my masseuse applied hot stones. The shoulder and neck massage performed at the beginning helped me to relax. While the treatment chairs are all in the open space, they are comfortable and it is easy to relax. The space is clean, the light is low, I was offered a blanket and eye mask. I appreciated the cleanliness of the space, and the attentive service.
