My partner & I came up to Tahoe for a late winter visit & stumbled upon this new studio that recently opened up - The Sanctuary. We booked massages with Kris & went to a couple of yoga classes. We couldn't have been happier with our experience there. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and any stress you may have had before you arrived, quickly dissolves the moment you walk through the door. The yoga classes were a perfect blend of challenge & relaxation and the music was fantastic. Next time we are up, we would love to try Pilates - we will be first-timers, but we met one of the teachers & she seemed very knowledgable & experienced, which made us feel comfortable to give it a go!

I booked The Sanctuary for a private yoga class at my wedding venue for our wedding morning - and they were amazing! I emailed them to ask about a private class and they were very responsive via email and send me details on pricing and class options quickly. I had them booked shortly after. They were SO generous to agree to bring 10 yoga mats with them for my guests. We ended up having 13 people in the class and the instructor, Kelsey Welch, was amazing. She arrived a few minutes early before the scheduled time and helped us set up mats on a beautiful patio. Her class was amazing - setting the tone for our wedding day of being present and enjoying the moments. The way she instructs everyone is go great for any yoga practice level. My guests were thrilled and raved about how much they enjoyed her class. I highly recommend The Sanctuary!

I have always loved Yoga but finding a studio to inspire me recently was making it difficult to want to return to my practice. The new Sanctuary not only has wonderful teachers but is truly beautiful with so much attention to decor and lighting! There are wonderful teachers who can teach gentle classes to fun cardio induced Vinyasa yoga with the most amazing music but also enough spiritual flavor to make it well rounded. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Pilates classes and look forward to trying the challenging Bar Effect. Julie Morrison has created a very special place for our community!

I've been seeing acupuncturist Volodar Kuzyk for my back problems and sciatica. After one session the sciatica subsided. This was three years ago. Volodar treated my symptoms and the relief was amazing. Turned out that time I had a herniated disc which a back doctor proceeded in giving me a cortazone injection. Recently I began having some sciatica and went to see Volodar. Again following one session my sciatica was nil. I will now set up a maintenance program of an appointment with him every three months, unless needed more often. I highly recommend acupuncture with Volodar as he is both knowledgeable and experienced. The healing results reflect his capability.

Amazing massage by Chris! My beau gifted me massage with Chris who has magic fingers. Quite possibly the best massage ever...didn't want it to end. Cannot wait to return. He loves the Reformer Pilates classes and had four classes that he loved. Wonderful place named appropriately.

I visit north Lake Tahoe frequently & have been to the Sanctuary many times. I have specifically gone there for massage & acupuncture, but my next venture will be Pilates. I am an avid golfer & have heard that Pilates is not only helpful in terms of improving your game, but also to counter the muscle imbalances that golfers can develop. I really look forward to starting Pilates in the coming weeks & am certain it will have a multitude of positive effects. The Sanctuary is an amazing space, in a great location, and I have had nothing but positive experiences with all of the therapists & teachers there. Don't miss out on this little gem!

This place is awesome! I am an experienced yogi who always try to find a yoga class when traveling. Our class this morning with Dawn was absolutely perfect - a vigorous flow with a teacher who knows her stuff. It couldn’t have been better!

I especially enjoy the variety of classes with gifted instructors each teaching their own style. We are big fans of the Sanctuary - have enjoyed excellent massages there. Recently, had the very best massages with Oshana and Cynthia. The Sanctuary is pure bliss. Every aspect of the appointment was perfection. The oasis-feel combined with myriad thoughtful touches: soft sweet fountain, soothing music, lovely essences, lotions, potions, and superlative body workers. Oshana is the consummate bodyworker with great credentials and a wonderful technique. Cynthia is also so very talented and intuitive. Gold stars. A+. Kris, the owner, is beautiful, gracious, kind and a delight.

Staff was welcoming. Frustrating part- I couldnt hear commands over music- was in middle of room. Was a step behind everyone. Gave up 1/2 way through and tried to relax myself.
