While visiting Reno, I made an appointment with Akimi for a one-hour therapeutic massage. Even though I had been seeing a chiropractor, I was still suffering from severe migraines due to knotted muscles between my shoulders and other various pains. Akimi gave a wonderful massage, applying pressure to the areas needing attention, which was a bit painful but very effective. I felt a sense of relief after the massage but decided I should book another appointment before my trip back home to Arizona. My next massage the following week was two hours so that I could have the therapeutic portion the first hour and a relaxation massage the second portion, along with 15 minutes of Reiki. I was so relaxed that I fell deeply asleep and was a bit disappointed when the massage was over. I highly recommend Hikari massage and Akimi, and I wish I lived closer so that I could see her on a regular basis!

She does an exceptional job of taking care of every part of my body. At the end of every session I am centered and so full of positive energy. I got massage from Akimi yesterday. It was my first time in my life, and it was amazing!! I had a stiff shoulder, but it was gone. I was very excited this morning because I felt a difference in my body when I wake up. Her massage is so comfortable, and she made me relax. I will definitely get her massage again. Every time after getting Akimi's Reiki, I'd walk out of the room feeling so refreshed and light. I could feel that the energy was recirculated in my body. I had never had Reiki treatment before her so I didn't know what to expect when I first experienced. Now I cannot go without it when I get her therapy. Also I love that she really listens to your needs and preferences then gives you a great massage by incorporating her insights on what your body tells its needs in depth. It is amazing. My entire back was hurt from the pregnancy and breastfeeding but the pain was eased greatly after one session. I need to get more sessions from her. I did not like getting massage before, but Akimi is an exception.

Could not be happier with my experience with Akimi, who is a very professional massage therapist. It was hands down the best massage I have ever had. I suffer from poor blood circulation, which causes problems like sore shoulder, stiff back, and swollen legs. However, as I receive treatment from Akimi, these issues were all gone. I love how she always carefully and throughly listens my needs and meets all of them during the session. She is particularly amazing in giving a firm/medium deep tissue massage, which I love so much! She always effectively works on the area that I have knots by rubbing them out and stretching the muscles nicely. She always ensures that the pressure is right and we are comfortable with the procedures. Akimi is also a great listener, so you will have a great time having a conversation with her during the treatment. Her friendly, kind, and cheerful personality makes the treatment even more attractive and relaxing. Overall, I am EXTREMELY satisfied with the results from the treatment! Akimi is personable & very knowledgeable in the field of massage & Reiki. I had a 15 minute Reiki session along with an hour deep tissue masage. The lighting in her room is perfect. The music soothing. Her client intake form is in-depth. She is interested in knowing her clients & also how she can best support them. My problem areas were my neck & shoulders. I was relieved in the pain areas I mentioned. I left refreshed & relaxed. The next day Akimi checked in to see how I was doing since the massage. I highly recommend Akimi & Hikari Massage Therapy.

I never thought I'd get massage regularly despite my stiff shoulders and neck, because I never felt the real relief from any professional massages I had before. That changed when I got one from Akimi!!!! The session with her is a treat for me and I very much look forward to it every time. I make my next appointment as soon as I finish. I often travel to Reno for a psycially demanding job. Travel and work along with weightlifting and the general ware of tare of life leaves my body aching for some self love and care. I found Hikari on a google search of massage places within walking distance of where I was staying, and I am so glad I did. Akimi worked on me for 90 minutes. She took the time to address my personal troubled areas and made adjustments and recommendations accordingly. I felt amazing afterwords! I have a regular massage therapist that I see back home, and in one session Akimi helped me more than 2 months work of bodywork back home. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm out in reno.
