I had a massage here a couple months ago. It was a very odd experience; Shandell talked nonstop throughout the massage and thus it was not relaxing. She was nice, but did not ask whether I would prefer a peaceful, quiet massage, which I would have. She seemed to have a very negative outlook on many things in the world and this was disruptive of my relaxation experience. She went into extreme detail about many conspiracy theories. I appreciate her work, but would not return to this establishment for a massage due to lack of professionalism.

Absolutely amazing! I moved to Helena 3 months ago and have looked for a massage therapist that could work with my crazy long work hours. Shandell was willing to work with my schedule. I have needlessly suffered for too long! I wish I had found Shandell sooner! She has saved me from so many doctor visits and so many pills. I have been a Firefighter for 25 years and have injured just about every part of my body; I broke my neck and my back. I have trashed my shoulders, back, knees and hips. I have had surgeries on my knees, arm and hand. I have been in chronic pain for the past 15 years, she taught me several therapeutic stretches and exercises to do on my own, as well as massaging me to better health! I no longer take handfuls of pills or see doctors for these issues anymore! I can't say enough about this amazing woman's ability to heal through massage. I see Shandell regularly to keep my body in less pain. I cannot say enough about what she has done for me. She is always my first referral to anyone with any pain or body issues. Instead of refilling prescriptions, I use Shandell, She is fantastic! Her office is clean and has a warm calming atmosphere. I have had only positive experiences with Ocean Spirit Massage! I have had several services and purchased gift certificates with no issues. It seems to me that some of these negative reviews are unjustified. I have lived in Helena for the past 15 years and this is by far the BEST Massage facility I have found. The staff have always been very accommodating about getting me in when I need it (not something I've found anywhere else), very professional and the wide variety of talent for services are a plus. If you are looking for a great massage that will make you feel fresh and renewed, then I highly recommend this spa.

Traumatic and horrifying. I was verbally assaulted by Shandell Warren, the owner of Ocean Spirit Massage, while on the massage table and for fifteen minutes while leaving after my aborted "massage". I feared for my emotional and physical safety in Shandell’s presence. I was threatened with the "option" of continuing the "massage" or leaving and being charged for cancelling. I hope no one else will ever fall victim to her attacks of misguided anger while in the vulnerable position of being a client on her massage table. Unfortunately, after reading other reviews (too late), I see that they already have. The environment of the office was chaotic and not at all relaxing. Shandell was beyond unprofessional, unethical, and displayed poor judgment and lack of self-control.

She and her staff are delightful. She even has an acupuncturist who schedules time for clients when he is in town! Her QiGong is excellent, and her organic smoothies are deliciously scrumptious! From the moment I stepped foot in the office, I was treated with a lot of respect. The office was welcoming & the massage from Shandell Warren was amazing. She asked questions regarding what was bothering me, worked out the knots in my body, and gave me some great recovery advise. All in all I was pleased with my visit. Very disappointed I made a reservation for couples massage for our anniversary for aug 1 at 5:30 things came up had to cancel called to rescheduled and good thing I did has wrong time at 9:30. Finally rescheduled to the following Thursday at 5:30 and woman on phone confirmed. We arrived today and lady at desk said they been having technical difficulties and didn’t have us down. She said sorry ruined your whole day and walked away from us! Very disappointed as we had to line up child care, had a evening planned and our plans crushed. She didn’t even care! Never had a massage here and never will!! Rude!! Response to your comment: Did not cancel day of appt due to child care. Canceled a few days prior to reschedule as my husband had a fire department meeting. We are not unhappy with our marriage but we were unhappy with your service didn’t even try to get us in. You are for sure lacking customer service and I wish you the best of luck! I do have your voicemail saved on my phone (which was also rude) which I will share. Also please try taking ownership of your scheduling errors and maybe try customer service classes! We found a great massage therapist elsewhere thank you! I also should have read reviews and comments prior to booking.
