REVIEWS OF Gold Leaf Physical Therapy IN Montana

I had just had rotator cuff surgery in Michigan. I was at the point I needed to start physical therapy. My husband and I had already had airplane tickets to Helena, Montana to visit our children for Thanksgiving. I needed to set up something for just one week in Montana. The reception at Gold Leaf handled my original request for services. She got the necessary information she needed from my surgeon’s office in Michigan that was required to Bill my Medicare and my supplementsl insurance. She arranged 3 appointments for me the week we were there. She was exceptional to work with as were the Physicdl Therapists. I saw Alyssa twice and I can’t remember the name of the other women. They were both so welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Gold Leaf and wish I could have continued my therapy there!

Was a little skeptical of going to PT after an unpleasant experience at another office. My husband had gone to Gold Leaf and was very pleased with his results. So I gave them a try. Everyone at this office is exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I decided to schedule with Jason Jamieson since my husband went to him. WOW is all I can say. I feel better than I have in years thanks to Jason’s due diligence! In addition to working on my hamstring issue, he also worked on my strength and balance. Besides the friendliness of the office, you will find a clean, fun experience here. But, Jason needs to change his Montana college team allegiance! Thank you Gold Leaf!! For the “one” person leaving a 1-star review, you should have asked what the charges were going to be before starting treatment.

I have been to Gold Leaf a few times over the years. I highly recommend Gold Leaf therapy. They have got me back into action fast. They are patient, understanding and know thier stuff. Alyssa was able to find a nerve damage problem where Ortho counldn't find it. She recommended a local Ortho and suggested a ultrasound and walla, the ortho found 6-8cm of damaged nerve in my elbow. I would have been cripled in later years if we could not find the problem. I am healing properly now and very grateful.

On more than 1 occasion, I turned to Gold Leaf PT for help. The first time I went with a pain in my hip that doctors and other Physical Therapists could not stop. Even though the pain was in my right side, Adam found that the cause of my pain was on my left side. Gold Leaf was able to end my suffering that I had endured for years. Thank god I chose to go go to Gold Leaf Physical Therapy.

They helped me get over a gnarly ankle sprain. Scheduling was easy and they had a large array of equipment to help me build up my strength and flexibility. With the treadmill and some gait analysis, I was back on the trail pain free and full of confidence.

I've never left a negative review online for any business. I'm the type of person who instead of writing a negative review, would normally choose to simply not return to a business again if I was unhappy, and move on with life. But in this case, I feel like it's only fair to warn others about my experience with this business, since I was swayed by some of these 5-star reviews prior to visiting Gold Leaf. I would agree with the other reviews that the facility is very clean and nice. And the PT I met with was very friendly and professional. The PT did not "fix" my issue (it resolved on it's own) but I felt confident about the PT's abilities. My compliments would end there. Because at the end of the day it comes down to integrity and value of services provided, and this where, in my opinion, Gold Leaf has fallen very, very short. I was charged $1,111.85 for two very basic appointments. That's right, $1,111.85 - no typos. No x-rays were taken, no adjustments were made, no massages given, etc. The first appointment was basically "when did you hurt it? how did you hurt it? does it hurt when you raise your arm like this or like that?”, etc. The PT put some tape on my shoulder similar to what an athletic trainer might do, showed me a stretch that might help and said let’s get you in again soon. Nothing surprising about this, first appointments are often simply information gathering sessions. For this, they came up with this list of charges: - PT Eval Level 2 $254.00 - Manual Therapy Technique $168.00 - Neuromuscular Reeducation $84.00 - Therapeutic Procedure 1 $78.75 - Therapeutic Activities $100.80 Total: $685.55 Yes, to be fair an initial appointment should be more expensive because they need to set up a new patient file, etc and administrative staff need to get paid, too. I get all that. And I might agree with the first charge for the evaluation because that was basically what it was – an initial evaluation. But the rest? Really? For my second appointment, I informed the PT that I had rested my shoulder and that it was feeling better. The PT suggested that we review some basic rubber band/bodyweight/range of motion exercises. And that is what we did - nothing else. The PT showed me a few exercises (most of which I already knew and did regularly) and watched as I repeated them. For that visit, they came up with this list of charges: - Manual Therapy Technique $84.00 - Neuromuscular Reeducation $84.00 - Therapeutic Procedure 1 $157.50 - Therapeutic Activities $100.80 Total: $426.30 Again, this was for what were, in my opinion, very basic/minimal services. $1,111.85. After insurance, I owed $589.73 out of pocket. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. Something that further adds to my frustration is that I asked about a possible estimate before treatment and was stonewalled – they simply would not discuss billing with me. I asked about it again at my second visit and was again stonewalled. This seemed shady to me so I expected to be surprised by the bill, but nothing could have prepared me for the bill I received. When I inquired about the billing after receiving the bill, I was told something to the effect of they don't set the rates, the insurance company does. I contacted my insurance company about this and they told me that is not true. Additionally, I reviewed the charges with insurance to learn exactly what they were – more bad news. According to my insurance, “Manual Therapy Technique” is basically a massage – I did not receive any sort of massage or adjustment from Gold Leaf, yet it appears that I was charged for two of them. So many things just don’t add up here. And at the end of the day – plain and simple - how would you feel if you had two very basic appointments and ended up with a $1,111.85 bill? So, after a few weeks of good old-fashioned rest, my shoulder is back to normal - no thanks to Gold Leaf. Unfortunately, my bank account balance certainly isn't what it used to be - all thanks to Gold Leaf.

Thanks to Gold Leaf Physical Therapy, I was able to move and function after two days of starting treatment. I had increasing back pain and I was too stubborn to go to physical therapy. One morning I couldn't get out of bed and any movement caused crippling muscle spasms in my lower back. I had too make a trip to the E.R., who just medicated me and sent me on my way. The next day I went to physical therapy at Gold Leaf. After two visits, I could finally bend my knee to my chest without the pain. Thank you Gold Leaf Physical Therapy!

The staff, facility and patient experience at Gold Leaf Physical Therapy is the best! The therapists are professional and well educated in their field. There was virtually no wait time to getting an appointment and they worked around my schedule for appointments. And most importantly, I am able to exercise and work out again pain free.

Kathy Seymour

The BEST physical therapy group in town! The staff treat you like a friend AND your comfort is VERY important to them. The atmosphere is home-like with some good music too! Not only did I gain a pain free lifestyle, I learned a lot about my body. I asked questions and the team provided answers in layman terms. They supported me in my goals and were realistic in how I could meet these goals. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this team! Thanks Alyssa, Jason, Jere' & Kim.

Wish I had thought to do this when the Best of Helena was gathering ratings. Gold Leaf is THE BEST! Started with Adam after my husband had a stroke and he was innovative, attentive, compassionate, and very personable with both of us. I started seeing Alyssa and have been with her through two hip replacement recoveries, sciatica flare ups, posture issues, and chronic pelvic pain. Jason is a resident PT Assistant and I see him during the course of treatment also. Just today he added amazing perspective to a posture problem I’ve struggled with for years and recommended treatment that I know is going to be the key to long term improvement. Through recommended exercises and treatments at the clinic, I’ve enjoyed relief from pain, improved flexibility and a very welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to all the staff at Gold Leaf Physical Therapy. At 73 I need excellent help staying pain free and upright and you can count on these folks. Kathy

Adam and Alissa have put together a great team of professionals that helped me to turn around my sciatic pain. They cared for me as if I were family and made each visit memorable. They have Jason, who is a LMT and really helped to knock down the pain, as it flared up. He was always great to work with. Shawnae, who always keeps patients laughing and having a good therapy session no matter the difficulty of the session, thanks Shawnae. Kim, their office manager was great at keeping me on schedule and her reminder calls were always appreciated. Adam and Alissa are great, their dedication to their patients is incredible, keep up the good work and thanks again!

Gold Leaf PT is the absolute best!! I've been to several other PTs, but they don't even come close. What I appreciate most about the staff is... where do I begin?? For one, they listen carefully to my issues, and let me know that they really do care. They always show themselves to be competent, knowledgeable & highly skilled. They operate with the utmost of professionalism. I always feel like they understand me and that they will do their very best to get me some relief, so that my body can begin to heal. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. The facility is beautiful and clean. They are just the best!
