I had physical therapy 3 years ago with another company. The physical therapist came with a good reputation and I was very happy with him. Recently I needed PT again. I had intended on going to the first place again because I knew what I could expect and didn't want to take a chance with someone less experienced. But Absaroka advertised a free massage for new clients. So I thought I'd try them out and then go back to the first one if I wasn't as happy. I'd at least get a free massage out of it. Jen has not only been just as knowledgeable as the first therapist but she has shown sincere interest and more personal attention to my rehabilitation of my knee surgery. It didn't dawn on me that as my first therapist worked with me and one to two others at the same time that I was getting divided attention. At Absaroka they work one to one and give undivided, excellent personal service as well as being experts in their field. I now prefer Absaroka over the other company.

I have been receiving treatment from Absaroka Pain & Rehab for at least 3 years now. I have a very physical job and I was just about to the point where I could not do it, and even sitting on the couch included pain. I was evaluated and agreed to a pretty time intensive treatment for the first few months, in hopes of getting back on track quickly for work reasons. A lot of these reviews talk about the doctors pressuring too much treatment, so I want to make it clear that I requested a pretty intense schedule in order to get healthy, quickly, so I could keep making a living. I was very committed to the process, both at home with stretches and in the office for physical therapy, brief massages and regular chiropractic, and they had me feeling so much better after a few months of treatment, it was incredible. For the last couple years I have been able to be on a maintenance schedule, with treatment simply as needed. If I had a less physical job, I think they have me to the point where I could easily go a few months between adjustments, though I go more regularly because of the stress on my body from work. I think that the initial expense and time commitment was worth it, because now I have a baseline of feeling good I don't think would have happened without a few months of regular work. If I get hurt at work, I am able to call and get that day or next day treatment, which is invaluable, as I have found it reduces my recovery time by 50 percent or more if I am prompt about getting in to the office after a wreck.They accepted my insurance, and while they are not the cheapest place around, they are happy to take payments over as long a period as necessary, and did not limit treatment while these payments were made. I also appreciate their regular seize the deal ads, which offer 3 adjustments for $60, and other offers for reduced or free adjustments, and am thankful they show appreciation to their regular customers by trying to keep maintenance care affordable. The staff is always friendly, knows me by name (and seems to know everyone else by name), and are the sort of people that will give you a smile, a hug and ask how you are feeling if you run into them on the street. The two chiropractors have different styles and approaches to their adjustments, and while I have had great success with both I would encourage anyone having difficulty with adjustments to try to experience appointments with both doctors, because there really is a difference between the two and I'm sure everyone's body is different and there is no one size fits all. If you are serious about feeling better, and committed to a larger process of helping your body, beyond the quick and temporary fix, this place is for you.

When I was 23, I took a nasty fall off of my horse, hitting the back of my head and giving myself a concussion. I thought at the time that I had been lucky and escaped other major injuries. But six months later, almost to the day, my hands started to 'buzz' whenever I looked down. When I looked up or lay back on my pillow at night, the world spun in circles. It was very bizarre and very scary because I didn't understand what was happening. I went to neurologists, had an MRI, and more, and nobody could find anything. The best the neurologist could do for me was a prescription for anti-vertigo medication, which obviously did nothing to address why the vertigo was happening. The symptoms were extreme, yet it felt like--since they couldn't identify them on film or with a diagnosis--the doctors brushed them off. As if I were imagining them. Luckily for me, these bizarre symptoms were also accompanied by back pain. I know that sounds strange. But the back pain is what caused me to look up a chiropractor. Another stroke of great luck brought me into Absaroka Pain & Rehab. Within minutes of looking at my x-rays, Dr. Marty had identified the cause of my host of symptoms. When I fell from my horse, my neck took such an impact that the normal curve it is supposed to have was knocked backwards. I had a reverse curve in my neck. I began treatment immediately and within the month, the symptoms that had been plaguing me for nearly a year were gone. That was over 10 years ago, and I am happy to report that my hands haven't buzzed since. Neither has the world spun when I looked up or laid down in my bed. I cannot imagine what my life would've been like if I hadn't found Drs. Mary & Roz, and I'd had to live with those symptoms and the continued deterioration of my spine. Pain-free (and vertigo-free) mobility is a wonderful thing, and I will always be grateful to them for that gift. I cannot recommend them highly enough, or give them a positive enough review. Go. Like me, I am sure that you will be so glad you did!!

This is a follow-up review to the one I posted two months ago: When I first visited the Absaroka Pain & Rehab team, I could barely stand let alone walk. My spine was corkscrewed and the pain was literally incapacitating. After just a few visits, I was walking and moving comfortably most of the time, and when I re-injured myself we rolled back my treatment and physical therapy exercises to get me back on track. I was given the tools to address new flare-ups on my own, and to prevent my condition from worsening. By the time that I moved away from Montana, two months after my treatment began, I was functioning at 99% of my ideal. Now, almost two months after ending my visits to Absaroka, I am still able to lift, twist, bike, walk, climb, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I continue to do my PT exercises 6 days out of 7, and when I have minor flare-ups I know how to get them under control before they worsen. I have nothing but praise and positive recommendations for everyone at Absaroka, and cannot overstate my sincere thanks for the life-changing treatment I received there.
