I have been going to Melissa for over 12 years and she has helped me so much! When I first saw her, I was struggling to walk upright after sitting... serious low back pain. Now, my pain is minimal and my flexibility has greatly improved! She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She amazes me each visit and I swear she can “read” my body better than I can! I truly appreciate what she has done, and how much she has taught me to listen to my body and self care. She motivates me to be healthier! If you are In pain, I highly recommend Melissa. No matter the type of pain, or where it is on the body, Melissa can help! Ongoing care is critical to our health and Melissa should be an integral part of that care.

I have had a painful problem with my I.T. band (a leg ligament) for over 4 months and tried everything to fix it. My chiropractor recommended that I try myofascial release therapy. Another friend recommended Quantum and I have had three sessions with Robin Hahn. I'm definitely getting better and hope to soon return to my active life. Robin is very knowledgeable about this problem and other issues that I'm having. She gave me strengthening exercises to do at home and recommended that I also try a Saturday stretch class they recommend. Myofascial release works!

I can't say enough about Melissa and the work she does. She has a tremendous gift of healing and the ability to put you instantly at ease and help you relax into your own body. I have struggled for over 15 years with hip, sacrum and back issues. I have been under the care of physical therapists and chiropractors for much of that time. With Melissa, I have been able to stop wearing a shoe lift and start working out again. I'm learning to realign, relax, strengthen and heal. I started seeing Melissa for pelvic floor work in February and almost all of my pelvic floor symptoms are gone. Prior to meeting Melissa, I was suffering from what I thought were three to four UTIs a year (sometimes more) that would not culture any bacteria. I would have all of the symptoms - burning with urination, frequency, urgency, and pain - but the doctors would look at me like I was crazy because they couldn't find bacteria in the cultures. They ultimately diagnosed me with cystitis and told me to see a urologist. I was also experiencing pain and a stretching feeling on my skin where your ovaries are located. I had an ultrasound and they found ovarian cysts and figured that must be the issue. After dealing with this cycle for about a year, I found a urogynecologist at Barnes. Within two minutes of his exam, he found extremely tight muscles in both hip flexors that mimicked my UTI symptoms and about made me jump off the table. He diagnosed me with hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction and sent me to physical therapy. My bladder was fine - it was all muscular. I started going to physical therapy about twice a week for internal work. While that was helping, I was still experiencing pain and UTI symptoms and couldn't quite get over that hump. I found myself being shown the same exercises and couldn't get much relief. I had a set-back from working out and was completely frustrated and down. It was at that point that I did some research and found Melissa. Melissa has made me more aware of the muscles that are causing the problems and I can actually notice when I'm tensing pelvic floor muscles so I know to relax them. Melissa really listens to my concerns and I notice results within minutes of leaving her office. If you find yourself in a situation struggling with chronic female or bladder problems, I would definitely give Melissa a call. I have started getting back to working out and have been feeling more normal as the weeks go on. Almost all of my bladder symptoms are gone and I don't worry about flare ups because I have Melissa on my health team. I am so thankful I found her and I plan to continue working with her for years to come!

Everyone's learned that Reiki, Acupuncture and Homeopathy are fake treatments, so this business is using new, fake terms. Great. Just go to a physical therapist, a masseuse, or a doctor. You'll have better luck.
