This location has demonstrated the best customer service! I had an issue with my payment and Cordero resolved it promptly. He made sure everything was corrected and was incredibly pleasant while doing so. I tell anyone who will listen that they should sign up for the membership (monthly massage). It is a great act of self care and the therapists here do a great job!

I had a chemical peel today with Maggie. It was very enjoyable. My esthetician had a relaxing tone, knowledgeable in the products she was using, she also made me feel very comfortable. I had some reservations as this was my first chemical peel, but everything went flawless with no discomfort! I highly recommend any services with Massage Envy. They are polite, professional, and go above and beyond anytime I walk in the door.

I am not a fan of the corporate bureaucracy or the pushy sales tactics of Massage Envy but there are a lot of very wonderful therapists and estheticians at this location that really do care about their clients on an individual basis. Donna, Maeve, and Bekah are amazaing massage therapists with healing hands and Taylor is a very knowledgeable esthetician who gives a great massage in the facial sessions! Just watch out for the sales pitch on your first visit!

I LOVE this Massage Envy! The people are nice and professional and the spa is very clean and inviting. I had a 50 minute massage done by Gretchen and it was just what I needed. I carry my stress between my shoulders and around my neck, and Gretchen focused on those areas for me. Another nice service is that they gave me a special pillow to lay on, as I've recently had a bilateral mastectomy and laying on my chest can be very uncomfortable. Great attention to client needs! I'm definitely coming back for more.

If you think you are ever going to close your account, don't even open one! They will tell you that you have to use all your free massages, which apparently is a lie. They won't tell you that you have to provide written documentation asking to close your account. Messages won't make it to managers and they won't document everything, so they can continue taking your money until you finally close/change your credit card number. I don't know if every franchisee is the same way, but don't do business with the Massage Envy in Columbia, MO.

I have been coming to Massage Envy for years. My theraptists keep geeting better & better. Cody is outstanding! He is very skilled & knows to to make massages truly theraputic. I hope he never leaves! One thing I like about Massage Envy is the flexible hours - later evening times as well as weekends. Being a member helps keep the costs affordible. I highly recommend it if you need routine massage therapy like I do!

I had a prenatal massage scheduled as a present from my husband, so I took a personal day off work and a babysitter for my 2 year old lined up. The morning of my appointment they called and said my therapist called in sick and that I would have to reschedule. Of course, none of the available times would allow me to not have to take off of work yet again. I'm a teacher, so this is nearly impossible. They refused to offer any discount or anything even though their cancellation policy says that if I were the one that canceled that I would still have to pay half of my bill. I only got 2 hours in advance and no one even tried to make it right. I would take my business elsewhere, but as a 7 months pregnant teacher who works 50+ hours per week there really aren't any other options for me. So thank you, Massage Envy, for showing me just how important your clients are to your business.

I bought a 3 month membership for my girlfriend. Called a few times to speak with management about a poor massage she received. I could never get the manager to call me back. Finally went in there to talk to her myself. I'm sure she was in the office and told the poor receptionist to tell me she wasn't there. She is just pathetic and can't believe she is able to run a business. A few days later I finally got a hold of her and she was rude and unprofessional. I regret spending my money here. Horrible, Horrible business!!!

I had my first massage at Massage Envy a few days ago and was impressed from the moment I called to schedule the appointment. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile and helped to a room away from the lobby to relax while I was filling out my paperwork. Having someone personally take time to go over my expectations before the massage was nice. My therapist was Trina, she was absolutely fantastic. I will be going back on a regular basis!

Funny when reading reviews recognized Tessa as the massage therapist who actually did a horrible massage a couple monthes ago saying how great the therapists who worked there were. Hmmmmm......Any positive review on this site is obviously an employee who is desperate. They are rude, unprofessional and unskilled and I have had massages many places all over the world and was not only disappointed but shocked at the level of fast food like service and professionalism and being pushed into trying to get me to sign a contract for more of that? Do yourself a favor and find a professional, you get what you pay for.

I purchased a membership which I did not fully take advantage. The few times that I did utilize the massage services, I had a good experience. I do not recommend buying into their membership plan because it is difficult to cancel due to disorganization of the office staff and management. The communication between the front desk and management is extremely poor and messages are not relayed in a timely fashion. My bank account was charged for a full months membership fee after I had clearly stated in an email that I wanted to cancel my membership. There were multiple excuses given by various members of their staff and management as to why this happened, but it still was a unsatisfactory experience. It was only after I completed an online survey and stated that I wanted to file a formal complaint that I finally received a call back from their management. I am pleased to report that the manager was able to assure me that the membership fee for the last month would be refunded and that my membership would be canceled. I am satisfied with the massage services provided, but overall dissatisfied with how this office is operated. Because of this, I would not recommend Massage Envy.

I have been getting regular massage sense 2001 and even then i was paying $55 per hour. There $49 rate is the best in town and no one comes close. They have a very intelligent staff that pays attention to my health needs and also educate me in my body and its needs. Ill be a member for ever.

Walked into a very warm and friendly environment! Very easy check in with custom plan for your personalized massage experience! Eric did a 90 minute stone massage on me and WOW! I received feedback and future recommendations on what massages I may need with my active lifestyle. My room was very cozy and calm with wonderful music. My massage therapist asked several times if I was comfortable and always put my needs first. Very clean overall and I would recommend to many friends, especially my crossfitters. I had an excellent experience at Massage Envy. I was running a few minutes late for my appt., but that did not affect my experience. The staff was extremely friendly and and exuded positive energy. A warm, nicely appointed lobby and waiting room made me feel very comfortable. The receptionist gave me a quick easy forms to fill out and I was introduced to my therapist and led back to the massage room with no delay. The therapist, Trina, had a welcoming smile and a wonderful bedside manner. She communicated very clearly and had excellent therapeutic skills. The office appeared to run very efficiently, and I was in, out, and on my way without any undue delay. Thank you, Trina! I would return to this business without question.

Donna is a very nice therapist. However, the rigidity of the house rules at this business are less than customer friendly. I called on the day of my appointment to ask if my sister (who has been battling breast cancer for over three years and had a very rough night) could take my appointment that day. The answer was no, which I accepted. However, the staff continued on with an unnecessary and ludicrous explanation that sharing of one's massages needed to be done ahead of time so that the staff could plan accordingly. No is an answer I can accept, but listening to some ridiculous 'reason' for the refusal is beyond my patience. What difference would it possibly make if I showed up for the appointment or another individual as long as the person arrived fifteen minutes ahead of time? If you have rigid rules, don't try to cloak them in some ridiculous explanation. Just say no. Despite enjoying one massage from Donna thus far, I will be cancelling my membership at the close of six months. There are other more accommodating therapy businesses in Columbia, and I'll be returning to one of those businesses in the near future.

I've been twice. The first time, my massage therapist was very good- they created a great, relaxing atmosphere, focused the majority of the time on the areas I identified as problem areas, and constantly gave feedback as to what they were doing and why they were using certain techniques. Overall, an outstanding experience, and I rescheduled right on the spot. I ended up needing to change my next appointment, and ended up with a different therapist. I went in on a Friday evening, and this massage was exactly what you would expect from someone trying to get a massage over with before punching the clock on a Friday night. No real feel for what they were doing, not even an attempt to create a relaxing atmosphere (I'm not big on chit chat, but it's sort of awkward when the only three phrases you hear for an entire hour are "Undress and get on the table," "flip over," "that concludes our session"). Overall, I have to give it a two because it appears that it's pretty hit or miss based on who you get. I WOULD go back, but only if my first therapist had an open appointment at a time that is convenient for me. Otherwise, it's just not worth risking paying for a subpar experience (oh, and it feels great when they clip the hour about six minutes short too).

I don't usually leave reviews, but I thought this experience was well worth the time. Meredith at the front desk was helpful, friendly, and courteous. The place was spotless and quiet. I was picked up on time by my therapist Trina, who is quite experienced in massage therapy. We had a great session, a wonderful conversation, and an excellent massage. She was professional throughout, started and ended on time, told me what to expect in terms of "massage brain", and was outside the room waiting for me when I stepped out to guide me back out to the front desk. From start to finish I felt "VIP." I'm sold.

Let me start by saying I never write bad reviews. But the Doctors and I are certain I contracted MRSA at this Massage Envy location. I had a massage here on 12/31/18, and 2 days later I had an enormous infection on my forehead that grew by the hour. It is red, swollen and painful to the touch. I went to both Urgent Care and the ER and they both diagnosed with MRSA. Today is 4 days since the massage and my forehead is still swollen and painful. Again, we're certain I got this from the massage table at Massage Envy. It's absolutely disgusting that they would be that unsanitary. I've paid $140 in medical bill's and medication. The staff were friendly and the massage was good, but safety and cleanliness are more important. As a result I am cancelling my membership, I will never return to Massage Envy, nor will I ever get a massage anywhere ever again because this has been such an awful experience. I'm considering filing a complaint with the State Board of Therapeutic Massage. **UPDATE: Woke up this morning a with an allergic reaction in my eyes from the medication, they were so swollen I could barely open one eye. Had to go BACK to Urgent Care in get a steroid shot and get perscribed another medication. None of this would have happened if they had properly sanitized their beds.

The staff are usually very friendly, however, their policies are crazy. I am a member and pay the monthly dues. The morning of my appointment I found out I was unable to make it due to a work schedule change. I thought I would be nice and give my appointment to a friend. Why cancel, when I can do something nice for friend who could make it. I was told they couldn't transfer the appointment because the only appointments left were for members only. I said I am a member and want to give my appointment to someone else. I already have the appointment scheduled. The girl goes, that's our policy. I am shocked. I am a member, so I can't be nice and give my appointment that I have had scheduled for a month to a friend? So, they would rather have an empty 1-1/2 time slot where their employee is not making any tips instead of keeping it filled? Because according to what the girl said a non member could not call in and take that appointment today. Don'[t you want to grow your business? I will be cancelling my membership and going somewhere where I am not locked into all these policies. This is supposed to be a relaxing, stress free zone. I will be taking my business some place else.

I had the best massage from Gretchen at Massage Envy! She was professional, knowledgable, strong, and talented. We talked before our session about some aches and pains that I'd been having and she focused on those and helped me work out the kinks. She also gave me some good ideas about how I could keep those aches and pains from recurring. I left relaxed and feeling much better than I did an hour before. I've been to a lot of spas and massage therapists around Columbia and Gretchen was one of the best I've had. Great experience. I'd recommend this Massage Envy and Gretchen to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and therapeutic massage experience.

This location continues to have problem after problem - they either get your appointment wrong or call and ask why you aren't at your appointment - when you've CANCELED the appointment - they just don't check their voicemail. Obvious poor management when the consistent excuse is "new employees" or "being short". Thankfully there are other locations - this one needs help!!

Massage was good but I was tricked into a membership by being told that I could use my HRA money and then when I asked for the invoices they would not give them to me. I also was billed extra for an addition that I did not get and when I called to get my money back they would not refund me.

I'm not sure this is the place to go. My husband and I recently each got a membership. Or first massages were good, but not great. We decided that's ok, since an OK/Good Massage is better than no massage. This past week I called on Wednesday to get 2 apts for this weekend. Sorry, they are booked. No problem, I already had an appointment for the following thursday (booked 2 weeks prior) so I'll keep that. I even had a babysitter booked! Today (Tuesday before my Thursday apt), I get a call. They are cancelling my apt. Why? They weren't supposed to book an apt at this time for that masseuse. Is there another apt available that afternoon (when I have a babysitter)? No. Also, the woman on the phone was not apologetic at all. I even had to remind her that it wasn't my fault I was booked for a time I shouldn't have been...I asked for an appointment and was given one. So... The reason you may put up with having an OK/Good massage (but not great) is that you can actually get the massage. If I can't even get the massage...I guess I go back to the smaller companies/independent people with more limited schedules? At least I do eventually get a massage with them.

Then rescheduled because I had a gift card went to.Then told me it would 60 for my next appointment of I scheduled same month.
