I have received massages from both Sophie and Ben. Relaxing massage room atmospheres. Sophie was helpful and communicative during the initial interview and post massage. She has a relaxing flow and style of massage, able to combine a calm relaxing touch, even with deep tissue work. Ben was thorough in the initial interview and inquiring about post massage feedback. He is detailed in his work combining a firm, energetic, yet relaxing style, and incorporating breathing exercises and some energy work techniques to help with a restorative and relaxing experience.

Sophie does a great job at focusing on whatever issue I'm having during my appointment time. She's able to vary her pressure throughout the session, making it relaxing when needed, or get out a deep knot if I have one.

I had never used Life is Sweet Before so I accompanied her to the business and was very impressed with the atmosphere. The owner made us feel right at home. I'd like to preface this review with the fact that if I was wanting a deep tissue massage, this would have been perfect. However, I was wanting a relaxing maternity massage. Granted, I told the massage therapist at the beginning of the session that I generally like firmer pressure (because most of the time I find therapists are usually on the lighter side). However, when the massage started it was WAY TOO much pressure for my pregnant body to handle. I told him to ease up on the pressure twice, but to no avail. Thus, I spent most of the massage with my teeth clenched and body tensed up against the pain. At one point I was on my side and thought I was going to be pushed off the table because the pressure was so hard. I also wanted the primary focus to be on my back, which felt like it got the least attention during the 90 min massage. Now in addition to my back hurting, my shoulders, neck, and arms are aching too. The studio itself if very cute, the pricing is very competitive, and the rooms are nice, relaxing, and clean. The massage table was extremely comfortable as well. The massage just was pretty terrible for me. EDIT: The owner personally contacted me and granted me a refund for my service, which I greatly appreciated! Great customer service, I just wish the massage had been a bit better.
