The American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is one of the best schools I have ever gone to. It really feels like family here and the faculty really make sure you know everything. The future of medicine is here. The clinic providers are knowledgeable, and they are truly experts in their field with over 12 years training and PhD's plus many years practice. They have helped so many people! I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for care. Keep up the good work!

The future of medicine is here. Acupuncture and Chinese culture are the remedies for 21th century global problems and this school is certainly a pioneer. I experienced more about authentic TCM treatments and classes here then at Northwestern in Bloomington. Dr. Lu is by far the best, most miraculous, and knowledgeable TCM doctor I came across in Minnesota!

I would high recommend this clinic for you. I have been suffering from the lower back pain for 6 years and there was nothing help me for the pain before I had acupuncture treatment here. After 10 times treatment the pain is gone, now it has been 6 months from treatment the pain hasn't come back.

I have been treated by a student intern at AAAOM, they do wonderful work, so much so that then decided to attend school there. The school experience is authentic and intensive, it is a great school of you are looking to further your career in the health and healing arts.

Very good clinic. All doctors in this clinic are very professional, esp. Dr. Yang is a migraine headache expert, he treated me 6 times and cured my 10 years migraine headache. I like this clinic, I recommend this clinic to everybody who has chronic pain.

There were multiple DIRTY NEEDLES left on the floor from previous patient!! The shadowing professor witnessed this! There was BLOOD on the pillow. UNHYGENIC treatment room professor saw the student pick the needles up & place into open sharps container on wall and said NOTHING! The "professor" should have halted treatment out of safety concerns but said nothing. Why didn't he say anything?? The "Professor" left me alone with this buffoon to receive unsupervised treatment. Clearly, the student ,D***, was/is incompetent or has zero training on how to handle medical BIOHAZARDOUS waste which is incredibly concerning. Patients are requested to remove shoes before treatment and these dirty needles were an obvious hazard. Used needles can spread HIV, hepatitis, staph or a host of blood born diseases in this case spread due to deeply incompetence by both staff and this particular student. I had been treated with success previously by a now graduated student. Incompetent student D*** Insulted her (successful) treatment methods either due to insecurity or jealously and scoffed as to why I would want to use those methods again even though they were successful. Incompetent student suggested a "back treatment" that required me to lie on my stomach even though I have severe herniation of multiple low discs as well as arthritis which he was informed about multiple times. This body positioning makes no sense whatsoever to anyone who knows the slightest bit about body mechanics. I warily agreed b/c I was told this method was "stronger" with " better results" and he was the expert, right? Sigh...I lasted 5 minutes tops in this position then experienced excruciating pain that took 2 days to walk straight afterwards. He did NOT USE HAND SANITIZER before treatments.I requested he to do so & he rolled his eyes, spoke down to me & treated me like a child for suggesting he didn't use it before. He didn't. That stuff reeks up the room, it's obvious when used & it was NOT. Ummm..DIRTY NEEDLES on the floor = lack of concern for anyone. He made a big asinine show of using it when I requested "see, I'm using hand sanitizer. Now we can all be happy." This student had horrible bedside manner, appeared flustered and resentful at accomidating me right from the start and I have no idea why. I was going out of my way to grovel at his wisdom bc I've got a back full of needles and feeling incredibly vulnerable. Caregiver 101: Patient comfort. Used a non-working heat lamp that had bulbs obviously burned out but he flicked it "on" and left the room with out checking. No light came on, but the guy left anyway. The music speaker in the room was blasting loud. This is minor compared to the rest of this fiasco, but it did add to an already poor experience. I'll sum up my last ever experience at AAAOM by using the words D*** spat at me when meekly asked for a working heat lamp "You can't have it all." Nope, at AAAOM you sure can't have it all or anything close. I hope this place gets investigated by the proper authorties. It's a cesspool. Why doesn't the AAAOM ask patients to fill out satisfaction form after treatment? More telling might be why the DON'T do this. Stay away if you value your health. It takes 1 idiot's irresponsibility to ruin your health. Saving $30 isn't worth it.

NEED ACUPRESSURE ON FEET, NOT ACUPUNCTURE. DO YOU DO THIS?

As a last resort for pain relief that hadn't been alleviated by traditional modalities, e.g. Narcotics, steroids and physical therapy, in desperation I chose to try Acupuncture. A patient referred me to AAAOM in Roseville. A practitioner who appeared knowledgeable in the 2 types of pain I was having (3 weeks of intense nerve pain) and longstanding arthritic pain was very professional, compassionate, non-judgmental, and, as it turns out, quite skilled and intuitive in her methods. I received cupping in addition to the acupuncture treatment. Although I was skeptical about the outcome, I experienced nearly complete nerve pain relief within 48hours, and the arthritic pain has decreased so that I can function at my job. I don't understand how or why it works, but it has worked for me. I agree that the clinic looks worn and needs interior design and a good dusting, but I can overlook that when the reason I'm there is not to judge its furnishings, but its medical effectiveness.

I’m a student here and a patient, the staff, student interns, and Chinese doctors are wonderful here. I recommend this place to almost everyone! Excited to be a tcm practitioner. I also recommend people to attend the classes, qi gong, tuina, acupuncture, enjoy! I realize people have bad days, some review here reflect that certain people have negative things to say, which only reflects poorly on the writer(ls) an anonymous writer here earning google points to the expense of others success. There are bad days for us all the word is powerful and what is spoken cannot be unsaid, you could delete your mean comments however if you read this message, I ask of you to do so, especially since we have the same initials and it has been mistaken that I wrote this judgemental message, please and Thankyou. I hope your next experience will be better! I hope your problems go away. Thankyou, leslie Stangler

good school, good clinic...I'm graduating from the academy soon, with my health restored and medical degree and much knowledge about medicine and myself. What more can one ask for?

This is a great place to get acupuncture as I have experienced. Not to say the least, all doctors here are professional and know what they are doing. The first time I tried acupuncture was with Dr. Tian. By the second time I came back my knee pain was gone and still is. Thank you for all you do and your wealth of knowledge as TCM doctors to help others. May you only prosper greater! Warm blessings.

I came into the clinic almost in tears with excruciating menstrual cramping. I had a treatment with Ben Kothe the extern. By the time I got up from the treatment table there was absolutely no pain, none! Highly recommend, will be back!

Authentic TCM. Acupuncture, cupping, tuina massage, and herbs are all treatment options offered at AAAOM and they can be used in combination. I got treated quite some time ago for gynecological issues and I'm happy say they're been resolved. The doctors and interns available for treatment are very personable, but professional, and take their time to understand and treat the issues. Treatments usually last about 1 hour; the first time takes a bit longer due to a 10 minute consultation. I went to Dr. Nancy Liu on a weekly basis and started to feel better within a few weeks. After a month or two my issues were resolved and started to see an intern (more affordable) for general upkeep and sore muscles.
