Katie is everything I’ve been looking for in an esthetician. Her work moves from a holistic perspective for skin care & her products are all natural. I booked a custom facial and microdermabrasion, the treatment was a little over an hour of pure bliss. Head, face, neck massage, masks, serums - my skin has never ever looked better. I felt relaxed and restored after & my skin radiated. I rebooked immediately - and if I could I’d do it weekly! Thank you Katie for saving my skin! So I wanted to add to my review after my second facial, this time I went with the microcurrent, because I asked for Katie’s help with the fine lines on my forehead. The facial was just as relaxing, but catered to promoting collagen through electrical currents. I was a little apprehensive, but afterwards my skin looked and felt really smooth & soft. In the days to follow though, I was blown away. I’m fairly young, but my skin looks and feels like it never has before. I grew up amongst smokers & felt it always showed in my immensely dry skin. However, I no longer see the fine lines on my forehead, but even more incredible my lips looked plumper! My skin reversed in age a good 5-10 years. It again was exactly what I’ve been looking for but from a natural perspective! I’m not one for Botox or lip injections, so it’s basically the answer to all my prayers. I have faith my aging regiment is now redefined thanks to K.West. I will probably alternate between this and the custom every month. It’s worth every penny.

I don’t usually write reviews but K. West deserves the praise. The atmosphere is cleansing, relaxing, and restorative. The spa is located in a gorgeous historical home and the thoughtful decor complements the space. I always feel a wave of calm once I walk through the front door. I’ve been seeing Michaela Phan for massages and cupping for some time now and I know my body is grateful. Michaela’s talent, dedication, and passion are abundantly apparent during the process. I originally was wary of cupping but because of Michaela I can’t imagine a massage without it. She will also tailor massages based on how you’re feeling that day. I was having a bad bout of anxiety and she suggested using lavender and reiki during my massage. By the time I left I forgot that I was even anxious. It’s times like that that I’m reminded just how incredibly powerful massage therapy is. In addition, I treated myself to a facial recently and it was honestly the best facial I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many over the years). Michaela took the time before starting to ask about my skin concerns, explain her process, and ask if using certain methods were okay (extractions, blue light, etc). I was relaxed throughout the facial and the products used smelled amazing and didn’t burn! You could tell they were natural and not filled with irritating chemicals. Michaela’s techniques were soothing, yet thorough. I’ve had problems with acne for over 15 years and Michaela was incredibly supportive about finding things to help my skin without ever making me feel bad about it’s shortcomings. All in all I left feeling beautiful today and that alone is worth it! All in all, K. West is a gem, Michaela is ridiculously talented, and I will continue to be a customer for a long time!

My experience at K. West was absolutely lovely!! I cannot recommend this spa enough! Getting there was easy, it's located on Main St in Ann Arbor and there is FREE parking behind the building. I loved not having to walk to a structure after my appointment. When I walked into the building I was greeted by Jess and offered warm slippers and hot tea. She hung up my coat and brought me upstairs to a beautiful sitting room to wait for my massage and facial. It was very relaxing and peaceful. At my appointment time I was greeted by Michaela Phan, who would be doing both of my appointments. It was great staying in one room for the whole visit and having one person work on me. She went over my paper work and asked me questions about my skin, well-being and what my goals were for this session. Michaela Customized my massage and facial based off of what I wanted. She used something called Dynamic Cupping on me that was AMAZING! Her technique and skill in both services resulted in the best massage and facial I have ever received. After my appointment I sat in the relaxation room while I drank my water and came back to Earth after two hours of bliss. Once downstairs I ran into the owner Katie who told me all about the upcoming yoga studio (I can't wait!). My entire experience was out of this world and I look forward to returning on a regular basis. The spa is pristine, the staff is friendly and makes you feel like family. The care and attention I received is something I have never experienced and I was truly able to relax and destress. Thank you K.West and staff!

I wish there were more than 5 stars, because I’d really like to give my experience 500 stars. Hands down the best facial I’ve ever received. After an hour and a half silk peel, I felt like I had been on a vision quest. Total out of body experience. Also, I don’t know what is happening when she puts on the seaweed mask but it feels like you’re going into underwater heaven.

If I could I would rate K.West way higher than 5 stars! The whole experience is such a treat. I walked into this cozy historic home that has been decorated with the utmost care (big soft rugs, comfy chairs, beautiful flooring, and essential oils diffusing). And Immediately upon entering I already started to feel markedly calmer. Michaela greeted me at the door and offered me warm slippers, a hot cup of tea, and took my coat. For my first visit, I tried the K.West Soothing Ayurvedic Facial. Michaela was absolutely amazing!!! She took the time to learn about what I needed from my facial and about my skin. I’ve experienced many facials but this was a much better experience. I have pretty sensitive skin too so I greatly appreciate the organic high quality ingredients that were used. If you are looking for a high quality experience provided by people who genuinely care this is for sure the right place to go!

Incredible experience and facial. Her unique focus on nutrition while also adopting a holistic approach to skincare really sets her studio apart from others I have been to. Amazing! The place was beautifully decorated, so clean and smelled so good. The location was straight out of a Pinterest board. Amazing attention before, during, and after as well. They really gave you time to relax and clear your head before heading in, which I really appreciated! The massage left me feeling so relaxed and she really massaged me out exactly where I needed it. The cupping technique was new to me but left me feeling so relieved as well. The facial was so nice and relaxing, using a variety of nice products. Would 100% recommend!!

I have to admit that I was skeptical of Reiki as a treatment for my bulging neck disks. However I received a gift card and was promised I would not regret my experience with Nina. I cleared my thoughts during the treatment and although Feel like my guided meditation was a little wacky I have to admit when I sat up I had 90% less pain and by the next day it had completely disappeared. It has been about 7 months and I have only now started to feel pain again. I am writing this because I just rebooked an appointment with Nina,

This was the most relaxing, enjoyable, and healing facial that I have ever had. Katie gives you much more than just a facial and makes it an overall healing and cleansing experience. I haven't felt so relaxed in such a long time. I also highly recommend the LED bed for an extra touch of restorative care. The positive energy in this place is palpable!

I came to K. West to try the Massage & Facial Combo and it was wonderful. Michaela gave the most relaxing and nurturing massage and facial I have ever had. The whole service is 90 minutes so the facial was just 30 min. but WOW, my skin feels great. She cleansed, exfoliated, massaged my face and ended with LED light. My skin feels smooth and hydrated (it was pretty rough from this winter weather). Afterwards my whole body felt amazing. I’ve never had my face worked on at the same time as a massage and it really made the experience feel whole and complete. I left feeling totally relaxed from head to toe. I highly recommend coming in for a service, not only was it wonderful but the space is just dreamy to be in. Ann Arbor is lucky to have K.West!

I have a lot of lower back pain and I just feel looser and in less pain in general after seeing her. I have had many facials and I can say that Katie truly has a gift. I thought all facials had to include squeezing and scrubbing but Katie could see that I had sensitive skin that needed to be treated gently and with the proper products. The. Best. I love to get facials when I travel to new places but I've never had one that compares to Katie's. She is incredibly intuitive when it comes to your skin, your overall health, and your energy. Her products smell gorgeous and her massage techniques are sublime. You will leave glowing and feeling ages younger. I can't speak highly enough!
