It was pretty good. I haven't had a massage in years, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had a hot stone massage, which was different, not sure how I felt about it. The staff was very attentive and helpful, the facility was clean and attractive.

My fiancé surprised me to a massage on our anniversary yesterday and yes it was last minute but that doesn’t mean anything. I got there 15 minutes prior to my appointment and Helen saw me at 5:15 when my app was at 5:00. When she took me back she said I’m sorry I’m late I will still give you your 60 minutes. We get in the back and she ask me Why I wanted a massage and I told her I had surgery and she then says okay I will give you light pressure and I said that’s probably better. She definitely did not she put a lot of pressure on my back she seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing . we then finish the massage at 6:00 so I was extremely mad I didn’t even get my 60 minute massage . Front desk was the only good thing about the massage she was so kind.

Ive had two experiences years apart here. Both times the environment was delightful. The desk help was courteous, and my masseuse was a total pro; very strong, knowledgable and engaging. I would not hesitate to go here again.

Don't become a member!!! Loved my therapist, but their service is terrible. I've been a member for over 7 years. I used to receive very good service, but honestly I don't know what happened with them. I requested the freeze of my account since November 2017. The account was never frozen. Only in January (after 3 months of charges!) I was told to submit a form, which I did on Feb 2 2018. In spite of this, my account continues to be charged! When I called to request a solution their receptionist Channel hanged-up the phone on me. I'm leaving this place. I loved it. But after 5 months of unauthorized charges and being hanged up by the receptionist, I'm just done!

Terrible customer service. Having a TERRIBLE time making an appointment. They have no availability for a paid massage and they cancelled an appointment that i waited over two weeks for. Called for the 4th time this week to see if I can squeeze in a massage that has been paid for and the assistant manager, Crystal said "make your appointment someplace else" and then hung up. Unbelievable. I don't ever give negative reviews but this is crazy. I will do everything i can to get my money back. I will also make sure that the proper management understands what is going on at their site. She also said that they open at 10. But everyplace i have checked says 9am. I think these employees are trying to do just the minimum and management needs to know.

Received a Mothers Day gc from kids and it happened to be here. Natasha was very good with my deep tissue massage. I don't do a lot of massages but thought I'd try one due to the websites special. It was for 1st time customer and I considered myself that due to my choice and $ not my kids. While booking over the phone I did get the special, reluctantly, from the gal whom said she owned the business so...was told Natasha isn't available and I said that's fine someone else is okay. I was asked for the aroma I desired for the massage and cc info. Got the massage and wasn't as therapeutic as Natasha and aroma I was left with is not lavender as requested...more like musty closet. I'm sure I had a target on due to insisting on the introductory special. Won't go back and glad not to have paid more...you get what you pay for.

I don't normally rate places unless I have a good experience but I was a bit personally affected by my experience at Massage Heights so I thought I would share. I heard good things about this place, and I am still new to the whole spa thing so I thought I would give it a try. I drove all the way from Warrensburg for a scheduled 90 minute deep tissue massage, and upon arrival I checked in. I was introduced to my massage therapist and showed to the room. My massage therapist gave me some aroma therapy then told me that we would start on my back and to get ready, that she would be back shortly to start the session. About 20-25 minutes later, she opened the door, told me I would have to reschedule, then left. At the front, the lady scheduling me asked me if I "REALLY" wanted to reschedule, acting as if they didn't want my business. No explanation, no anything. I'm not an improper, dirty person and I feel as though I'm usually a very polite, honest person. I've been told many times that I'm very low maintenence, and easy to deal with. I also have a big problem with social anxiety and the one time I work up the courage to go out and try something new (this was only my second time in a spa) I'm treated with this disrespect. Not to mention the 2 hours wasted on the drive to Lee's Summit and back. I am just a little personally upset that I wasn't even offered an explanation. Very disappointed with the whole experience.

If I could put no stars I would It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I would recommend to any one to go to envy over massage heights. And even they are not much better. The staff was just terrible I came in to two of the receptionist on their phones. And were not pleasant to deal with at all, very rude and didn't want to answer any of my questions about memberships that i wanted to buy for me and my wife. One of them also smelled like cannabis heavily. The entire situation was uncomfortable I couldn't even bring myself to try to get a massage.

The staff and therapists here are both very helpful. Be upfront about your needs, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Not all massages nor therapists are the same, so communicating your needs is an important key to being satisfied with your service! I recommend booking in advance, so the appropriate type of therapist (and amount of time) is available. Massage therapy can be such a beneficial part of your physical/mental health routine.

I had a couple's massage there last night. I appreciated the price and the welcoming front desk gal. Kara and Wes did our massages and they were very nice too. I also like that the place was clean and they had nice spa music playing. The massages were just okay. I don't like to be mean but after the massages my boyfriend and I chatted and both decided we've had better massages elsewhere before. The experience was not anything to write home about. However, when I think about the price of the massages, I guess you get what you pay for. If you decide to go here, I suggest that you do not add "an elevation" for, "just $12" your first vist. It is a waste of money and valueable massage time. I did the foot scrub and regreted it almost immediately. It sucked and wrapping my feet in hot towels was totally anticlimatic and boring to endure. I've had better foot scrub experiences during a pedicure at the airport, (which is not saying much). While the experience was nice, we won't be going back.

This location does not even deserve 1 star, but 0 was not an option. I had a membership with Massage Heights about 2 years ago at a different location and I really enjoyed their services. I recently moved and contacted this location to schedule a couples massage for my husband and I. During checkout the receptionist and I discussed a new membership terms and pricing and I agreed I would like to proceed. As I was reviewing the paperwork I realized the receptionist added an elevation to my membership at a higher rate that I did not agree with. I questioned this and instead of changing the membership level to what I agreed to, the receptionist tried to force the more expensive package on me and continued stating that "most" people get the elevation and if I did not it would cost more to add it later. This completely frustrated me and I asked to cancel the membership in it's entirety! Needless to say, 1 month has passed and Massage Heights has charged my credit card for the membership....at the price she wanted me to have. I cannot believe a company as reputable as Massage Heights would do something like this. I called the location directly and the person I spoke with was nice and understanding and stated she would reverse the charge but there is no explanation of how this happened. I will NEVER do business with any Massage Heights again!

DAVE KOPP IS THE BEST MASSAGE THERAPIST AROUND!!! We got a 90 min couples massage with hot stone (highly recommend hot stone!). Overall extremely clean professional and relaxing atmosphere. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from therapist Dave Kopp. Dave was clearly knowledgeable about massage therapy and totally put me at ease. He did a phenomenal job on my massage and made me feel like a million bucks. Dave was so nice, easy going, incredibly skilled and created such a relaxing experience for me. I will certainly be a loyal customer of his in the future. I had a very pleasant experience while my husband felt that his experience was not up to par. My husband, on the other hand, was given a female therapist that did not apply adequate pressure to his body even after asking for the hardest pressure possible (so it didn't feel like much of a massage to him), so that is the reason why he was dissatisfied.

Been here several times, but won't be going back. It's aesthetically pleasing, therapists are good, but it is only a 50 minute massage, not 1 hour. The worst part of this place is a few of the front desk staff! For the most part, they do not know how to run the front end! They take forever to get through the computer system....it seems like it's always about 15 minutes just to get checked out! Seems very disorganized. I asked for hot stone, but nobody told the therapist. I had to ask her halfway through, and she said they forgot to mark it. That is only 1 instance out of several incidents that I have dealt with there. Too many other places in LS to get a massage, so no need to tolerate.

Absolutely horrible. The areas I marked on my consultation sheet were not all massaged by the therapist. I also had a $50 gift card I went up to pay & was told my 1 hour prenatal massage would be double that price at $100. The front desk told me whoever scheduled my appt was suppose to have told me over the phone that was the price. I said no they did not tell me that. The girl acted like it was still my problem and charged me $100 anyways. I went to the massage heights website to make sure I didn't miss anything that clearly stated I would be charged $100 & no where on the website does it say that $100 is the price for a 1 hour massage. I will never go back to any Massage Heights again, I will never recommend this place to anyone, & the customer service is a joke. It is clearly money driven, they do not care about the customers, just how much money they can get. Paying $100 for a 1 hour massage is under heard of. I can go down the street & get a much better massage for half the price.

When you ask for a deep tissue you expect to get a deep hard massage. All they do is have fragrances and oils to make it seem like it is a good massage. Not relaxed and no tension was released. Not going back

Edited: I called and emailed MH, and they did not respond. So their plug about connecting with them is purely BS, a ploy to pretend to care. I literally had to rush to urgent care because of below mentioned injuries. Do not go here! This was the worst massage, I seriously left there yesterday in pain, still hurting. I went there fine and left in pain, still left a tip tho. Plus the massage therapist did not focus on the areas I specified. It was terrible! This place is not recommended! Hopefully, enough ppl will complain about this MT to relieve him from ill-competent duties. Cause that was the worst. But this says a lot about this business, if they're hiring any regular joe schmoe off the street to do this, when you can seriously injure ppl doing massages.

I have never had anything but excellent massages there. I found the therapists attentive to my needs and requests. My problem is with their customer service. I cancelled my subscription in person in August, kept getting charged, and when I called to request refunds, I was only give a partial refund and told that in consolation, I had the rest of 2016 to use up my remaining pre-paid hours. Cut to April 2017 and I receive a call about scheduling an appointment because I still had pre-paid hours. Turns out they put my account on a 6 month hold instead of cancelling. It was at that point that they finally said they needed something in writing, and if I sent an email cancelling my account, that would take care of it. I got charged for May and now they're saying they never got the email and just now sent me a form to "formally" cancel my account. Oh, and because they can't find the email & I no longer have access to that email account, I'm out the $70 they charged me.

The massage therapists definitely know what they are doing, and will answer any questions you have. They listen to your needs and work with you on problem areas. Got a couples massage as a gift in 2009, and forgot all about it. Dug it up by accident, and noted that it had expired in 2010. Figured we would give a shot and see if they would honor it, and to our surprise, they did! Athena was my masseuse, and Scott was my wife's. Great massages, and a great overall experience with this company. Will be back!

Called to give notice and they said I had to give a doctor's note or proof I was moving or I would be charged. DO NOT GO HERE. They will lie to your face about the terms of their membership and then attempt to charge you even if you want to get out of it.

My husband bought me Mother's Day massage gift card one hour massage for $60. When I called to scheduled the Custemer service was terrible!! They could find me in the system and I was waiting more then 10 minutes on the phone (just to scheduled a massage). After they found me on the system I scheduled for the same day . When I got there the girl at the front desk tried to sale me a package for year.. I refused and I said that I just want to use my Mother's Day gift card. The girl didn't like it and been rude and patient less so she told me I need to add $60 to get the massage! (Which is double) they had a special 60 minutes for $60 massage for Mother's Day. They didn't want to honor the gift card unless I pay additional $60. When I told the girl I don't want to pay extra money she said that I can't get the massage and the gift card is none refundable !!!

I think the key to a good massage is finding someone that vibes with you and has the right type of pressure. I have found a couple therapists at this location that are fantastic. I've also had a couple that were just meh. It's kind of hit or miss until you find someone you like, then you can request those therapists. I like the convenience of this location and it seems like during the week you can call with little notice and get in.

My service was supposed to be an hour. She started 15 minutes late. She stopped the massage to go to the bathroom. She ended the massage early. Total time of massage was about a half hour. I had also added on a foot scrub. She applied a substance. No scrubbing invovled. Total disappointment and waste of time.

Very disappointed to say the least. For the past couple weeks i've called multiple times trying to get an appointment. Everytime I call it either goes to voicemail or I get placed on hold. If I get placed on hold they never pick the phone back up. Guess i'll have to try another location!

So disappointed in the office staff. I had multiple appointments not get scheduled and the staff was not concerned at all. After the third occurrence, I am then told that I cannot use the package that was purchased for me because it had expired. Wonderful massage therapists but I will not be back due to the lack of quality staff running the desk.

Preparing for my Muay Thai fight in a couple weeks and my shoulder was killing me. Came in to get it fixed before the week started and she asked me if I had any areas to focus on...I said front of my shoulder. 30 minutes later she finishes with my back and says the sessions over. I said what about my shoulder(only reason I came in). She says sorry, miscommunication and leaves. Front desk asks how it was, I told them and they just said sorry. No attempt to make it right at all. Also, no small talk or anything before the massage. It was super weird. Wouldn't recommend this place. Crystals message and therapy is my go-to but you have to wait to go there. They are literally always booked! But I guess it's better to wait then get bad service fast.

Ive been going here for over a year now. Everybody has been wonderful and i have felt much better as i work in a physical field and need the deep tissue or heavy pressure. The stagg is knowledgeable and professional! I would recommend them for your needs. They even give you some coaching on ways to improve flexibility.

Massages are OK, rarely get the same person twice; most annoying .. they canceled twice on me at the last minute. I tried to reschedule a same day appointment .. boom, $25 penalty fee. They haven't figured out that subscription services are ALL about the customer and the experience. Cancelled subscription

I got a terrible and downright inappropriate massage from a therapist who violated multiple rules. The management seems pretty indifferent, went as far as to issue a lukewarm apology (two weeks after I initially emailed them) and a promise of a refund that I'm still waiting for. The whole thing was like a bad dream, and I'm out $60. I will never again deviate from Massage Envy!

Mercedes was very helpful in setting up appointment. She’s very professional and polite. Had a massage with a friend - Anthony the masseuse was excellent. Mercedes and Anthony get 5 stars. Helen the masseuse that I had not so much. Almost like she was trying to put me to sleep. Not much of a massage at all. I don’t like not giving good reviews - but just being honest. If you go - I would recommend passing on Helen. She needs more training before representing the company.

Giving it just one star because the receptionist was very friendly, since the start I felt that my therapist was rushing. I have gone to many other places and I have never had some one start off at a fast speed and had that through out my 60min. There was no slow long strokes everything was at 1,000. Specifically asked to focus on my neck, shoulder area and scalp. Only spent 5 min if that on my neck and 2min on my scalp. When it was over my neck was still sooo tense which was one of the main reasons. Honestly I couldn't wait for it to be over. Unfortunately I was very very disappointed!

This one star isn't even deserved! My husband signed me up for my membership many years ago and my experience used to be amazing. I moved and transferred to the this location. I never regretted my decision until this year! This place used to be the best of the best! The staff at the desk knew me when I walked in the door, they were always nice and knowledgeable and the therapist used to be top notch. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. It seems as no one at the desk has been trained and it takes longer to check out than my actual massage time. I have also not been able to find a quality therapist. I have wasted so much money on dis-satisfactory service. No one even seems to care! I've also spoken to their manager and what a waste that was. It's so sad that a once wonderful establishment is so run down. Luckily, I am no longer a prisoner!!!!!!!

This is the WORST place to get a massage! The staff was RACIST to me and my wife then charge us $50 on our debit card for no reason. These people are liers and thieves! I had to call my bank to reverse the charges on them and I am filing a police report today! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Massage Heights seem to have over sold memberships. We can rarely get in without scheduling months in advance and often time we get a last minute cancellation. Very, Very disappointing. We will be cancelling our memberships and looking for a better managed operation.

I am a busy working Mom and received a gift card as a Christmas gift. I scheduled my appointment weeks out for a much needed long massage. They called to cancel my appointment 3 hours before my massage with no resolution other than waiting two more weeks. I’m literally in tears and will be spreading the word about their lack of problem solving skills. Had they called with a solution rather than just a problem I as the customer wouldn’t have been left to solve their issue. After my gift card is spent I will not be going back and will make sure and tell all my mama friends to spend their hard earned relaxation time at a place that values their time and money.

I'm not a review writer, but I've gotten so irritated by this I have to write one. I've been to this location maybe 10 times. The therapists are pretty good, but not one time have I had a massage for the entire hour. They bring me back five minutes after my appointment time and finish 5 minutes before the hour--that's a 50 minute massage! I imagine since they book on the hour they need some transition time between clients; so advertise/sell 50 minute massages--not hour massages. I've been to many many facilities; I've always been massaged the entire hour but not this place. Seems nit-picky, but when you buy a 3 hour package, go three times and only get 50 minutes each, that's 30 minutes I've paid for but don't get the service in return.
