I have had three massages in the past year at Nirvana and this week scheduled my 4th. My first massage was with Tara and while she is a great therapist, she didn’t quite work out for my personal needs. Michael is an amazing therapist and I was looking forward to a much-needed massage this week to decompress and celebrate having just completed my BSN program. Of the three massages that I have had so far, I have been contacted on the day of, for two of them, asking to reschedule my massage to meet the therapist’s scheduling needs, which I willingly agreed to. This past Monday I scheduled my appointment through Nirvana’s website, which I have always done. I received an email confirming my appointment for the next day. Tuesday morning I received a text message asking me to confirm my appointment for that day, which I did. I arrived at Nirvana approximately 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment for noon. At about 12:10, Tara informed me that Michael was on his way and should be arriving at any moment. Approximately 10 minutes later, she informed me that she was going to text him to inquire about his whereabouts. At 12:30 (30 minutes after my scheduled appointment that was confirmed that morning), Tara informed me that Michael was not going to make the appointment because he was stuck in Alabama!! To her credit, Tara did offer to fit me into her schedule that afternoon, which I declined. It has now been two days and I have had no contact from Michael to offer an excuse, an apology, or an offer to amend this situation. Had he made the effort to do so, I would not be writing this negative review. However, because of his total lack of professionalism and disrespect for me as a client, I will NOT be giving my business to Nirvana any longer. If you want an amazing therapist, Michael is your guy. If you want someone that is reliable, won’t flake on your appointments, and values your time and patronage, go somewhere else!

I also currently feel like I'm being scammed. This was supposed to be a birthday present for my boyfriend back in March. No one responds to calls messages emails anything. Absolutely unprofessional.

Went there recently; would highly recommend Kia. At first I had my doubts on a new therapist due to newly acquired injuries, but she more than fits the bill for all my needs. Great pressure and a good sense of humor!

Bought a gift card to here for my mom for a gift and they wont even answer the phone to book an appointment. We have tried to call them for WEEKS. Left voicemails sent emails etc. If their customer service is this bad I can only imagine how bad the massages are. Total scam.

I was very dissatisfied with Nirvana. I read and enjoyed the reviews so I scheduled with Kia. She left because I was 5 minutes late. I was forced to see Michael who talked the entire massage, he insulted Groupon participants, which I was one of, and he scratched me. Upon requesting to reschedule Michael was very rude. I was unable to keep my appointment with Kia, as my car broke down the morning of the next massage and I lost my money. I was sent a very rude email. I am African American and I'm very offended of the treatment from this office. In the future I will schedule with Massage Envy.

Had a very tranquil experience. The atmosphere is very relaxing, no distractions. I received a 90 minute massage by Gabrielle, she was very professional and friendly. She did an amazing job on the areas I was having trouble with. I will return.

Michael is one of the best massage therapists there are nationally and we in Louisiana are very lucky to have him here. I can vouch for his professionalism and for his honesty, as I have been a loyal client. Many of us are often very quick to judge one another and sadly do not allow people space for the understanding of circumstances. We live in world where technology is the "go to" source of communication, instead of taking a moment to "talk" to one another. With that being said, one thing I can promise is that Michael will not disappoint. He has healing hands and years of knowledge to boot.
