Very easy to find- across from the Oakland Road Hy-Vee. What a great atmosphere! You walk in and the beautiful aromas relax you immediately. The stones all around are mesmerizing. It is such a peaceful place. I have been having leg cramps for a couple weeks and had a wonderful combo massage from Jo Hawkes. She used craniosacral therapy and deep tissue massage on my lower back and legs. I felt like a new person afterwards! There is also a float tank which I have heard is a fantastic meditation therapeutic technique. The prices are super reasonable as well. I highly recommend Hands in Harmony!

Just had an "Ultimate Couples Massage" and OMG we will DEFINITELY be going back! The wine & snacks were tasty, the whirlpool bathtub is everything I've ever wanted, atmosphere is very relaxing, and the massage left me feeling just... awesome. Still feeling quite blissful. Hubby's shoulders have been hurting him and he says they feel awesome now. 10/10 will be coming back!

this place is awesome to receive a massage from, until you get know what happens behind the scenes.............. nobody every vacuums, the employees are treated like crap and so many things are highly overpriced. a single stone is $3! I went in for a massage and was going to buy some chakra balancing roll on, until I looked at the price! it was over $15! I ended up buying it at hyvee for $9.99! Also, the employees are so kind and hard working, but heard an employee being lectured for lack of communication when the owner had been out of town since the last time I had been in!!!!!!! it is so disappointing when it is such a beautiful spa and the employees are very talented! Will be looking for another place where people are respected!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend and I went there this past weekend for full body massages. This place was very professional. The environment was soothing and relaxing. They provided wine and a dimly lit room full of salt rocks to relax in while we waited. We had to wait a little bit past our appointment because I think they squeezed us in due to the fact that we called last minute. But that was fine with us because we had such a wonderful place to wait. They threw in a free foot scrub because of the wait, which was really nice. The massage was the best I've ever had. The lady I had was professional at all times and made me feel comfortable in every way. She paid attention to the spots I asked her to, and I have never felt better! I just redeemed my birthday present giftcard here Saturday. I had an amazing 45 min upper body massage with Jessica Misfeldt followed by a 45 min facial with Maria Tucker. Maria is an extremely knowledgeable esthetician and very trust worthy. She takes her time to assess your skin and work with you to make a customized facial. I am a firm believer in using all natural products, which I really appreciate because she is never pushing anything that's unnecessary or might be too much for the skin. Jessica is a very experieced massage therapist, she knows exactly where to apply pressure on the muscle tissue and especially hits the spots that are tighter. She is also great at not overworking the muscle so it feels relaxing. I have been to some massage therapists that didn't listen well to your needs and Jessica does a great job of listening or adjusting pressure as needed. I have had a few facials done and they are one of my favorites! My skin feels so rejuvenated and smooth afterwards. I am usually picky about letting someone else touch my skin, let alone my face, but fully trust her. She has such a soft touch that makes it very relaxing. The best part is she knows exactly where pressure points are to help alleviate my headaches and also helps drain my sinuses. It feels pretty amazing when you can feel all that happening and know having a facial done is worth it. My skin is always immediately glowing brighter and smoother. Maria is very good at communicating, so you know exactly what to expect to feel or even smell. The products smell amazing. She is very good at educating you about what is in the products, how they will feel, and what they will help with. She is even great at recommending products to use at home. My facial procedure began with a cleanser, followed by a mint exfoliator (which feels amazing) to resurface the skin. Then rosehip exfoliator followed by arm and hand massage. The fact that these products are all natural is key to my skincare wants and fully got that. I am really eager to try out some other services with her!! I was intrigued to learn they offer over 300 services at Hands n Harmony, the perfect spa day place! I felt like I needed longer than 45 minutes for each session, but well worth it! The place is very CLEAN and has such a calm at home feel. I felt so relaxed and loved being able to also have a 45 min massage combined with this, they transitioned very well and did not have to wait. They are great at working together as a team and kept me informed throughout the process. I already can't wait to schedule another appointment with them both!

To begin, this was the most bipolar massage experience we've ever had. Our quest began with a version of "In the Ghetto" playing in my head as we rolled in from Coralville to what appeared to be an old apartment building that now housed a number of businesses. To their credit, they booked us for a Sunday afternoon massage which we very much appreciated. We were greeted by a couple very nice folks...neither of which were wearing shoes. Entering the building we found ourselves on the lower level in a lovely smelling and trying really hard, but still borderline sketchy (if not only because of the physical location) locale. We were shown to our room, got into our robes and were led to the spa area, which turned out to be what we think was a bathroom with a spa/shower installed. The spa-ish experience was moderately weird because we felt like we were using a neighbors nice accommodations rather than being at a spa. At this point we figured we'd either lose a kidney or the massage would be great and luckily the latter was true! Our masseuses were fantastic and we both agreed they were SOME OF THE BETTER MASSAGES WE'D EVER HAD! Truthishly, we were pretty surprised. The hour long massages were very relaxing and would have only been made better had they been somewhere other than a room that we're pretty sure used to be someones bedroom. Somewhere between Tony (the masseur) lambasting my feet and lower back I was awoken by a dryer going off in the next room...not totally relaxing, but ultimately it added to the uniqueness of the experience. This place would be incredible if they were able to transport the people and decor to a spot that was a little less sketchy, but overall we were pretty impressed. They were running a solid livingsocial special so we couldn't pass it up. It's a ways away so yet to be seen if we'll return, but again, if Tony goes into business closer to Coralville, we'd definitely return.

I am giving 3 stars because I've never had any issues with hands in harmony and have always had a wonderful experience...UNTIL TODAY. I got both a wax and a 90 minute massage. Both had summer deals (the wax was $50 and the massage was SUPPOSED to be $10 off). I also had a coupon for $12 off any service. They took my coupon just fine and it wasn't until I got home that I looked at my emailed receipt and realized they didn't give me the $10 off. When I called to ask why I didn't receive it I was told "well we can't do coupons and promotions". Well that's fine but WHY WASN'T I TOLD? I got no answer for this. If I had been told this before I would have just waited to use the coupon another day instead of feeling jipped...

I'm giving 3 stars because my previous appointments there with Jennifer have been great. She offered me water before and after my massage, and gave one of the best massages I've ever had. My migraines significantly improved and I'm quite sure that was from seeing her every 4 weeks. Now for the negative... I consistently prebooked with Jennifer so I always had an appointment ready. I got a call from the spa letting me know that Jennifer was no longer there. They put me with Clare. When I showed up to my appointment, she was the one who greeted me when I got there and she seemed rushed (I was only 2 minutes late because rush hour traffic). When we got back to the room, she had a pretty good consultation with me, so I got on the table and was ready to relax. That didn't happen. She talked through the whole thing. I was fine at first because I thought it might lessen eventually. It didn't. She even stopped to change the music twice in the middle of the massage. As the massage went on, I tried to be short when she asked me questions (not even related to the massage), and I think that worked a little bit, but I still wasn't able to relax. I won't be going back to her for that reason. On a positive note, her deep tissue massage was great and her pressure was good. I do feel better and not as tight. She just really needs to work on her professionalism.

I am giving 3 stars because I've never had any issues with hands in harmony and have always had a wonderful experience...UNTIL TODAY. I got both a wax and a 90 minute massage. Both had summer deals (the wax was $50 and the massage was SUPPOSED to be $10 off). I also had a coupon for $12 off any service. They took my coupon just fine and it wasn't until I got home that I looked at my emailed receipt and realized they didn't give me the $10 off. When I called to ask why I didn't receive it I was told "well we can't do coupons and promotions". Well that's fine but WHY WASN'T I TOLD? I got no answer for this. If I had been told this before I would have just waited to use the coupon another day instead of feeling jipped...

First off the bat, you are guided to perhaps the best waiting room I've ever been in, due to the calming effect of the crystals and light music. I didn't wait for more than 5 minutes for Connie Quaas, who was my skin aesthetician. She was quite polite, inviting, and made sure I was comfortable. The dark lit room along with the quiet soothing music made it very easy to relax prior to the start of the facial. The products that were used on my face were very gentle and non-irritating. I have sensitive skin and rosacea, so this was very important to me. The collagen treatment around my eyes made me look much younger. I have previously had massages @ hands in harmony. I can say with certainty that if you are looking for both relaxing and effective organic facial treatment, this is the place to go to.

Hands down the best massage I have ever had! I reserved a 60 minute appointment and asked Tori to focus my legs and shoulders to address sports aches/pains rather than a full body massage. I was very specific; I asked her to spend 25 minutes on each leg and 10 minutes on my shoulders/upper back. Other masseuses often spend too much time in one spot and rush to finish remaining body parts--which just feels wrong both physically and financially. The only reason I felt comfortable giving a 2 star review is because my massage therapist was phenomenal, both stars are intended for the therapist and not the company itself! I have had a few other massages, so this was not my first ball game. I won a gift certificate in a raffle for an event that I have attended for 3 years in a row called Steaks and Stilettos. It is a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity's Women Build. Hands and Harmony donated the gift certificate for a Hot Buttered Rum on the Rocks and I won it in a raffle. The event was in July. I have a pretty busy few months(I work full time and go to school full time) so I scheduled an appointment a week or two in advance online, because I was worried they may not accept it if I dont use it in time. I chose a combination massage when scheduling my appointment. There is no excuse for how I was treated when I walked in. When I walked in I told the lady my name and told her I had an a appointment for 6:15. Everything seemed fine until I showed her my gift certificate. Her demeanor changed completely and I felt instant animosity. The girl says to me, "oh, this is not the same massage you scheduled online." I apologized and told her that I did the best I could to match it up but I couldn't find the exact one on the gift certificate. She stated that generally, people call first before using gift certificates. She told me that I could not receive the massage on the gift certificate because everything that went along with setting up the massage on the gift certificate would take too long. I asked her was there any way that I could just reschedule for another day. She said yes, but they will still have to charge me for the visit that I scheduled today (Oct 6th) because they have a very strict 24 hour cancellation policy, and unfortunately there was nothing she could do. I was very calm in the situation, and I asked her how much the massage is that I scheduled online. She told me 99 dollars and also stated that whether or not I got the massage I would be charged the full amount. While going back and forth with her, she receives a phone call in the middle of our conversation. She tells me to hold on and attends to the person on the phone. When she is finished with the phone call, I inform her I was not prepared to pay this amount today, and asked her was there ANYTHING else she could do? She stated that she would see, goes into the office and sits at the desk with my certificate, and briefly looks at the computer. She comes back to talk to me and tells me that she can use the amount of the gift certificate towards the massage I scheduled online, so I went ahead with the massage (because I felt like I was threatened and had no other options). Also, I had a very stressful week and I was in desperate need of a massage. So I was forced to use my $137 gift certificate towards the 99 dollar massage. When she took me back I asked her what would happen if I were to just leave? She told me that my credit card would be charged, regardless because I put it in online. (NOTE: When I was able to get to the website today (October 7th) from my computer, I confirmed that I never actually put my credit card information in when I scheduled the appointment, like I originally thought, so I am not sure why she told me this) . To summarize, after being threatened, lied to, and manipulated, and losing out on 38 dollars of the massage that was DONATED by this company. With everything that I had to deal with before the massage, I did not feel very relaxed after because I couldn't help but to feel played. For anyone else reading this review in the Cedar Rapids area: Before you schedule anything with this company and you are looking for a basic massage without all the extra fees and charges, go to Be. Massage Therapy (it is on the other side of 32nd Street behind Hy Vee). They have great prices and the staff are ALL very welcoming. I will never recommend anyone to this company due to the pure disrespect from the receptionist.

I think I remember having difficulty getting in touch with anyone to schedule an appointment, though, and also I requested heavy pressure for my neck and shoulders / traps but my massage was instead extremely light, and my traps were barely touched at all. She constantly checked in during the massage to ensure I was happy with the pressure and how she was doing. She took the time to educate me but wasn't over-bearing. She just did an amazing job. I've never been to a more professional but yet relaxing place! The staff is super nice, and there is not enough room on here to tell you just how awesome the owner is. Wahneta Dimmer is anything but dim. She is brilliant and vibrant. Personally, I am a skeptic. I won't believe anything till I've seen it or experienced it. Before meeting Wahneta and experienced just how in tune she is with the universe, I would have said I don't think that's even possible. I've been to physical therapist, ENT, and my family practitioner, none of which helped me one bit. They just wanted to charge me a lot of money and push drugs down me. The majority of what was going on with me is either already corrected, almost healed or is in the process. Before seeking medical attention for pain pills or whatever, please take the time to visit Wahneta. She is exceptional!
