Went in because Smart Style ruined my hair, I went in I had great amazing service all the way through. I had two girls help me because my hair was just that bad, but they were really sweet and super helpful! I HIGHLY recommend going here. If anyone ever gets worried about going here because they're students -- Don't! They work really heard, are practicing if they don't have a client with them, and their mentors are always checking up on them and helping them.

I've been getting my haircut at Capri on and off for several years. The staff is always very friendly and the students do a good job and their desire to learn shows. It's also a plus the prices are inexpensive. Will keep coming back.

Was in the salon for 5 hours for a foil color and cut. I spent more time waiting for the student to find an instructor to check her work than actually getting work done. Please stop telling customers that this process only takes 2 hours, I had things that I needed to get done today and the day was shot sitting in a chair.

Worst experience ever. The student was very nice and polite a kind a felt sorry for her being there cause she really wanted to help me. But the instructors are the worst people ever. The way how they treated costumers. They were so arrogant telling me that is not possible to get a blonde hair color after 15 min discussion and waist of my time. If you scared to bleach hairs then don’t advertise coloring hair..

At Capri I have never had a bad experience with my hair. Students are knowledgeable and guided by instructors in everything the students are doing, give advice, work is checked! I have always come out of Capri feeling happy and pretty!! Love Capri and wouldn't go anywhere else!

I was impressed with Alyissa's honesty with me being the first ethnic hair she had ever worked on and hadn't even had the class yet, but she was so professional and open to learn. If she had questions she asked her instructor. She allowed me to give her a couple of suggestions and the results were wonderful! I scheduled to go back to her next week. I have to admit I was a bit turned off when I first called to make an appt and asked for a stylist who could do ethnic hair, the person very rudely said "all of our stylist are trained". While that was not true and training doesn't mean you can do it, the student, Allyissa definitely made up for the lady's rudeness. Alyissa definitely has a bright future if she stays humble. Right now she has the total package. The call is the only reason I can't rate my experience a 5.

My grandfather has been going to Capri in Dubuque for years to get his hair cut. Every time he comes home after a trim he shares how pleasant the girls are and fun to talk to. Also, his haircut always turns out nice and is exactly what he wants. Thank you, Capri students for being so kind.

Had a great experience with my stylist, Shyanne! She does a really good job, really personable. Loved having her do my hair! (One issue: I wish thermal styling was included in the 'shampoo, cut & style' or was offered for a smaller fee. Saw that it was a separate $15 fee on their menu. Yikes! Have gone to other places [including another school] and its included. But, I guess they do it for safety reasons, which I can understand). Will totally come back to get my hair done by Shyanne again (and hopefully, before she graduates in October). Thanks again!!

Been to this place multiple times. I suggest finding a good haircutter and sticking with them until they graduate because there are a few you might want to avoid. Overall I still get a great fresh cut every time.

Dori Shaffer Lilly Your salon on 53rd took $97 and advantage of my mild mannered daughter. She was more concerned with pleasing your staff than her own happiness. She got nothing like what she went in for, get hair looked awful. Called me immediately outside the establishment crying. I understand the no refund policy, but some other form of reimbursement could have and should have been made. We did it ourselves. She looks wonderful, and get hair is perfectly intact.

If 0*'s were an option or even negative numbers that's what I would rate them. I have gorgeous natural red hair they ended up turning it pink and there idea for a fix was turning it purple when all I went in there for was a darker red and more blonde highlights. They completely fried my hair, left bleach foils on over two hours! My hair was breaking off like skinny rubber bands. Stray away from here dried

I just got my hair dyed. Im so upset. They had three people working on my hair and its so uneven and so ridiculously colored. I paid so much for one side to be too little of change and one side be to much. Ive never had such a bad experince at a hair a. Solon before. My first time at Capri and my last for sure.

I got airbrushed and wish I had done it before for special events! I can't wait to see the pictures! There is no where I would recommend more then Capri for a haircut. With a variety of students you can find one who works for you and continue to see them until the graduate or follow them to a salon when they move on. I've never received a bad haircut with the instructors ensuring the job is done well and the student taught anything missed.

Mom used to cut our hair,and we fought the whole time..then when it came haircut time,mom made appointments at Capri and it was better for everyone involved..THANKS Capri..if your hair isn't becoming to you,should becoming to Capri!

Went in to get my hair bleached white so I could go silver, wasn't told by the staff that they couldn't do it until after they did $100 worth of services on my hair and slapped on a darker color without my permission in effort to make it impossible to get my money back, since they technically provided me a service. Went and spent $30 at Sally's and achieved the silver hair that they told me "wasn't possible" at their salon with only help of my boyfriend, who is apparently more capable than their stylists. Worst hair experience I have ever had, will be warning everyone interested in Capri about their incompetence.

Yes it takes alittle longer on a foil color, but that is to be expected while learning. It was my second visit with the same student Mikayla. She did such an amazing job both visits. 2 thumbs way up!

This was our 3rd appointment with Jenna. This visit was a color and cut and brow wax. The appointments are longer than what I'm used to but we love supporting the students and the price is also a plus. The color was spot on- exactly what we were looking for! Jenna was personable and efficient just like the previous visits. She did an amazing job!

I recently went in for a pedicure. I’ve never had a pedicure at Capri before and don’t think I would be back for one. Now I understand I only paid $25 for this so I didn’t expect much but I will just stick to paying more somewhere else. So we go to the nail area and I sit down and the chair is not a massage chair. Then she comes back with a plastic container of hot water and dish soap for me to put my feet in. So she starts on my feet and doesn’t clip my nails and also doesn’t cut the cuticles or sides. There was still body scrub on my feet and there was no hot towels to clean them off. And she didn’t clean up the lines of the nail polish on my skin on top of there being no fans anywhere to dry my polish.

You might want to change your hours of operation on google its 10:30 am just called in to schedule an appointment and was told you close at noon on Saturdays when google says you close at 3 on Saturdays!
