So I got a massage here yesterday, and let me tell you, NEVER EVER GO HERE. I left there feeling ok, I had to ask the masseuse to lighten the pressure a couple times, and she had a ring on which I thought was weird, but other than that ok. I woke up today feeling like I got hit by a bus, covered in scratches that I hadn't noticed, which came from her ring I assume, and with a huge bruise on my back. This place is unprofessional, and not trained in any way. The woman also told me I probably had back pain because I had gained weight recently which she could tell from some of my recent stretch marks, and it was an all around bad experience.

I've been going here for years the owners Allie and Richard have always helped me get relief from back, elbow and leg pain. Also their other therapists have also been helpful to me. One of my favorites is rain drop massage everything comes into balance. It's a must to try you won't believe how much better you will feel.

I needed a lot of work in my upper body shoulders, headache and neck. It was good I tipped ok but wish I had more work on the lower back hips legs and feet to fully relax it was ok for the time allotted. Also the price was 20.00 more than 5 months ago. I didn't question because I know I'll return. I've been several times over the years but the only real complaint was her nails were sharp and I needed a deep tissue to break down the knots in my shoulders so I kinda knew what I was in for. To get the knots out it takes a lot of pressure. I left with a few scratches but nothing major. If it takes the stress knots out then I'll take the pressure. They are usually quick to get me in on a same day request so that's always a plus. I'll definitely return it's my only escape and they always get the stress knots out.

I have a mixed reaction to my first appointment here. I went in for a nice relaxing massage but made the mistake of indicating that I sometimes feel pain in my neck and have tension headaches -- which changed my massage to deep tissue, but I guess that's what I needed instead of a soft peaceful one, so that's on me. My therapist's cellphone rang on two separate occasions during the session which was very unprofessional, and when someone came in the building during my massage, she opened the door to greet them which I found uncomfortable as most of my body was exposed. It might help to sound proof the rooms or something, I could hear everything going on in the front room. I could tell my therapist really wanted to make me feel better and she seemed nice, but I won't come back because I want to find a quiet, peaceful environment where I can't hear people talking or the doors slamming when I'm paying $60 (plus tip) to relax. Also, after I did their survey and told them about all this, I got an e-mail from them that "we will contact you as soon as we can" -- that was May 17 -- not really sure what that was about.

I love this center. It's clean, calming & I've had different massages but all were wonderful. After seeing my chiropractor I always need a visit & my neck is so much better due to their work. It's truly an Eastside gem.

I had my first appointment with Kathy today and look forward to my next session. A great environment and professional staff from scheduling my appointment to a great massage therapy session. I've had shoulder pain for the past several months and after numerous, unsuccessful physical therapy sessions scheduled through my healthcare system, I decided to try Massage and Healing Center. I'm so happy I did! Kathy is both professional and knowledgable when it comes to massage and reflexology. Not overly priced like so many places, Massage and Healing Center is a gem on Indy's Eastside.
