At first I was drawn to the European Massage Therapy School because of the super affordable tuition. When I came in for the tour of the school, I was very welcomed by the eager, excited staff and impressed with the facilities - the clinic room, classrooms, and dining area (it also helps that it's in the Old Orchard mall and dining services.. mmm Potbelly's!) as well as the curriculum (shiatsu, aromatherapy, ect).. I was sold! Now as a graduate, and awaiting my licensure, I am relieved to say that my choice was right. I am very confident in my skills. Don't be wrong, as a massage therapist, you'll always have to keep learning and be up to date with new techniques, but I am thankful for EMTS for the start of this new, exciting path.

I was already an experienced Massage Therapist when I looked into attending the European Massage Therapy School. Having recently moved from another State where the licensing requirements were different, I had to go back to school to become accredited in the State of Illinois. After viewing main other options, I felt EMTS would be the best choice. As I walked across the stage on graduation day 9 months later filled with pride, I knew I had made the right choice. What sets EMTS above and beyond the rest is that here you are more than a student ID number. The staff and instructors take an honest and sincere interest in your success and well being. They provide an great network of help and support and have many times bent over backwards to accomidate my schedule and needs. The ciriculum is excellent and the instructors are engaging and exceedingly knowledgable about their subjects. They work hard to do everything they can to prepare you to pass the MBLEX exam and be the best therapist you can be. Even though I've graduated I still regularly come by the school to see the wonderful people who have helped equipped me to have the better life I wanted for myself and my family.

SPOKE WITH A VERY RUDE AND IGNORANT CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. NAMED ABRAHAM WHO WHEN FACED WITH A DIFFICULT ACADEMIC CURRICULUM QUESTION , JUST HUNG UP THE PHONE AND STOPPED PICKING UP THE CALLS. HE REFUSED TO TRANSFER THE CALL TO THE DIRECTOR. A PERSONAL FRIEND OF MINE, SO I AM HOPING OLEG SEES THIS AND GETS BACK TO ME. GREAT SCHOOL BY THE WAY I AM A GRADUATE AND HAVE BEREN VERY SUCCESSFUL IN MY CAREER, WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND IT.

Horrible experience! I called 3+ times to get more info on the medical assisting program. Finally the 4th time I got ahold of the director and scheduled an appointment with him and when I got there after waiting 30 minutes I tried calling the director’s direct line he gave me, no answer. Then I went into the class that was being taught and I was told the director wasn’t there, I tried to ask the instructor to answer some questions about the program for me and was not able to. Waste of time!

I had the most rewarding and fulfilling experience at European Massage Therapy School. I am a recent graduate from this facility and am so pleased with my education I received from this school. It is a very structured and informative curriculum and the nest part is that it is truly inexpensive. The teachers and staff are the most helpful and polite individuals I have ever met. By the end of this 9 month program you really become part of the EMTS family. Teachers go above and beyond to make sure your are educated with every aspect of information you will need in order to become a successful Massage Therapist. I would HIGHLY recommend this school for anyone who is interested in starting a career as a massage therapist. You will not be disappointed I promise you that.

I had appointment for deep tissue massage for today at 12 a.m, when I arrived receptionist told me that they are make mistake and schedule for me Sweedish massage! He didn't even tell me SORRY! He was so unfriendly and insolent! He didn't even try to resolve problem! They are unprofessional and rude!I was so disappointed and i will never go back again for sure!

The school has a great location, very easy to get to it. I love the staff , they are frendly and helpfull, always there for you. The program has a big variety ot training that I need and use, affordable price and the schedule varies according to the time you can manage. It was a great experience for me, I'm happy I participated.

This is a wonderful school, I learned a lot! The instructors took a lot of time on each student to make sure we were all ready and prepared. Special thanks for Vince, Dr. Todd and Leszek! You definitely have to study but I would recommend this school to anyone looking to pursue massage therapy.

This is school is quite amazing. I was very hesitant first coming here. Because I mean, it was such a small school, but I loved hearing about individual learning. Which was true! I began my first day and it was quite hectic at first because so much information was thrown at me in a short amount of time, but I mean 9 months definitely went by fast. I love the staff they're truly helpful. They definitely take the time helping when it is needed. The tuition was also cheap. I mean no matter what I though I didn't have a great deal than most places. I've learned enough to surpass most other colleges and I'm grateful. All the things I've learned personally and what I learned from another school was just fantastic because I was able to enhance my knowledge and make a difference in someone elses life. I had great assistance from everyone and my class was a great bunch even if it was small! We're a great family here.

I attended this school last year and this place is great! with professional teachers who actually work in the field for many years and have answers to just about any questions we ask. Also really friendly staff members who are eager to help you. one of the staff members, Shazeen, helped me with job finding and assisted me in writing my resume. EMTS makes a promise that they will support us for life time and they really keep that promise. how awesome is that! come to this school if you want to learn massage for sure!

I turned up for an appointment for a massage at this school after receiving 3 emails to confirm "I" was turning up. I was there 15 minutes early and filled in the appropriate paperwork. I was then informed that they could not get in contact with the trainee therapist and that they did not expect her to show up. There were a lot of people milling around (Students I assumed) and I overheard the reception girl asking for volunteers but none were forthcoming. Suddenly I realized that this amateur operation did not have a fall back position when their students decide to not show up for "Paying" customers. I had looked forward to a massage and was bitterly disappointed with their "system". This is was my day off and I remember making the appointment and how insistent they were on making sure "I" turned up otherwise they would charge me a $15 missed appointment fee. So, before you decide to make an appointment at this "School" ensure that they have someone who is going to do it and alternatively amongst the 10-15 people who were milling around the reception area, who would be willing to step in and learn their practice. Very VERY POOR ....

A good way to become an expert is to reteach what you ve already learned. After graduation and when I started my internship I found some books which were way better for understanding massage. Its the extra time you put in, in research and creative methods that let the lessons from the teachers come to life. So, I always aimed for the front seat in class. The four hours are just perfect for getting engrossed. The other side of school was the student clinic and massage on client practices. It was really cool. Both avenues made my hands strong quickly and let me feel good about helping. Everything after that just kinda fell into place, the mblex was done. I used online practice tests and workbooks which helped a little. I believe though, that the main thing is to save your hands so use your forearms. Plus, find a place in the massage market that you can establish a working system for your efforts. EMTS was a good value considering tuition now a days. Peace.

I first of all want to Thank all of the Staff at European Massage Therapy School for changing my life. The education and skills I received at this school have helped me find a great career. The teachers are great and so helpful. I am a single mom of 2 boys and thanks to their curriculum and hours I was able to finish my education and go into a great career and start my own small business. My experience at the school has been perfect. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff was always willing to help out as well. The school has a very positive atmosphere and everyone is very nice and professional. I learned a lot and recommend to everyone that wants to be a great massage therapist to attend EMTS. I've had previous massage therapy experience in Poland but after coming to this school I noticed a big difference in the performance of my massage. I have become very confident with my massage techniques and my clients are extremely satisfied with their massages. This is a really great school. I was in a car accident a while back and need massage therapy for my back. I took a chance because a friend recommended the school to me. I was pleasantly surprised of how professional and knowledgeable the therapist was. Keep in mind these are students but you wouldn't believe it. Everyone was very nice and extremely professional. I like this place very much and will definitely be going back.

EMTS was the best school I have ever attended, the staff was super nice and helpful, the instructors were all down to earth people who love what they teach and the facility is brand new so its super clean. The lessons were fun and easy to follow, they prepare you for what's to come next if that is a professional career in massage therapy or even if someone is seeking to further their education in a medical field. Initially when I came in I didn't know what to expect and was very nervous. The staff has very positive attitude and made me feel comfortable and are always willing to help out. When speaking with Arkady, the school director, I really felt his sincere generosity and he really wants to help everyone. Arkady genuinely cares about others, he really made me feel positive and confident that I would complete the program and do very well. Considering that English is my second language and I had to learn it in a fast pace, the staff especially Arkady showed a tremendous amount of patience. I would really like to thank him for all that he has done for me and for making the time I have spent at the school a great experience for me. All the teachers are very knowledgeable and are passionate about their jobs. If I didn't understand something they would take the time to review it with me. I really received a great understanding here that was very helpful and will help me be a great massage therapist. The whole program was an amazing experience and i able to learn more than i thought was thinking before i took the classes here. Teachers were interactive with students and staff work here very nice and helpful.Also school help us to get financial aid assistance and help with taking a National board exams. Such a strange school , went to see the admissions director about massage therapy classes there and when it came time for me to to sign up the next day he was nowhere to be found , an explanation was never given, even tried to call for a couple of months afterwards. ....you don’t want money ? ......such a spineless person.
