I went to Apolo for a massage, and specifically for help with a low back injury. I am a woman and originally scheduled with a female, but she needed to reschedule so suggested Apolo. He was fantastic. Very skilled at finding my injury and massaging in and around the muscle to help it relax. I asked for some help with how to stretch given the injury so as part of my time with Apolo He showed me some exercises - gentle stretches and core strengthening - and watched me do them. I think he is very knowledgeable about the body and has a great gentle manner. Highly recommend.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been going to Julie on and off for about 16 years or longer. I have been to other massage therapists (sorry) and the experience, their technique is never the same. Julie is the only massage therapist for me! She is, by far, the best massage therapist that you will find in Gainesville hands down. Very knowledgeable, personable and a great sense of humor. She is always willing to figure out what is going on with my many issues. Great customer and always responds back in a timely manner. Julie is always willing to go above and beyond. Looking forward to my next massage :)

If your hunting for a positive life changing experience Becky Hunt is the one your looking for. I have 26 years of experience in strength training, 18 years of competition at a world level and 6 world titles. I can say without a doubt Becky belongs with a pro sports team caring for million dollar athletes. I had resigned myself to chronic pain and loss of mobility which she eliminated in two visits. And to top it off her deep tissue massage feels good! I had only experienced an hour of torturers pain in the past. If you have any scar tissue from lifting or injuries run dont walk to Becky Hunt she will be the best choice you made in a long time.

Julie was phenomenal. I had severe lower back pain after working out too hard without proper cool down, and one massage with her and I was feeling back to normal the rest of the night! Not gonna lie and say it cured me, but definitely pointed me to the right direction. My fiancé is a cross fit instructor, and any time he is tight from his workouts and comes to town he sees Julie for a great massage. She is truly talented and well educated on sports massage.

Could not be happier with my experience. I woke up with a horrible pain in my neck and as a chronic pain regular I knew the fastest resolution would be a message. My normal therapist was booked all week so I called here and was able to book a same day appointment at a time convenient for me. Allura did a truly amazing job. She listened to me and definitely did what I asked. I was looking for pain relief first and foremost and she knocked it out of the park. I feel like a lot of places they don’t push hard enough. Allura had perfect pressure. I’m a student so obviously its a little expensive for me but worth the money! You get what you pay for!

I've been going to GMT for over a year and Julie is great! Scheduling is very flexible and pleasantly informal once you get on a cadence. And of course the massages are relaxing and the facility/environment is nice. Going to try a hot stone massage when the weather cools down :)

I had a great massage with GMT's newest therapist, Kari, last week. Kari is a very positive person with kind, happy energy about her. She was very communicative throughout the massage, double checking that I was happy with the techniques and pressure she used and asking if she needed to change anything for me. Kari worked on my upper back, shoulders and neck and I got a lot of relief from it. She also did some reflexology on my feet which felt very nice and I would ask for again. I'm also extremely ticklish and Kari was very careful to make sure she didn't tickle me, which I appreciated! For clients who need deep tissue work, Kari has the ability to use very strong pressure, but she can also be light and gentle if that it was you prefer.

TL;DR - easy to work with, great prices, and very friendly/personable personnel. I gifted 6 massages to my girlfriend. I don't live anywhere near Florida, so I faced challenges in finding a place I could 1) trust, 2) reasonably priced, and 3) can handle the transaction remotely. Megan did a WONDERFUL job with my prenatal massage this morning. I’m off today, and I searched all weekend for an available appointment today for a prenatal message when I lucked out and found Gainesville Massage Therapy. I’m 5 months pregnant with my second child, and my lower back stays on fire. She was a pleasure to talk to, paid extra attention to the areas I mentioned, and left me feeling absolutely amazing at the end. I will recommend this place to everyone, and I will absolutely be back for both a prenatal massage and a regular massage afterwards! The last massage I had was before my pregnancy, and it was somewhere else in Gainesville and was the worst experience I’ve ever had. So I was a bit nervous about trying another place that’s new to me. Thank you for a GREAT experience!!!

I have been using Gainesville Massage Therapy for many years now. Julie is a wonderful massage therapist who has only gotten better at her job as the years go by. She has helped me after several surgeries to regain range of motion in my shoulder as well as for routine visits with tight neck & shoulder muscles. I always leave feeling much better than when I arrived! Besides being professional, Julie is easy to talk to and pleasant to be around. I have been getting massages at Gainesville Massage Therapy for over a year now (I have had over 30 massages at this practice and highly recommend them) and have been worked on by two of their masseuses. Both were personable and professional and worked extensively on my problem areas. In addition, they were able to come up with an alternate diagnosis for what I thought was sciatica pain. I believe that this practice has helped keep me going as I have delved into the world of physical fitness (all of my massages would fall into the sports/therapeutic massage category). I find it easy to schedule an appointment through their online scheduler but also they are very responsive to phone calls or texts. The office is comfortable, cozy, relaxing, and clean.

Julie was very professional and one of the most knowledgeable massage therapists I have met to date. She was very familiar with the names, actions, and nerve innervations of the muscles and was able to release deep-rooted trigger points and tension. I participate in high-intensity interval workouts and thus frequently experience delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS). After receiving a massage from Julie 12 hours after a very intense workout I am happy to say I was not sore at all! I attribute this to her deep tissue work and I will certainly go back and send my friends to her.

Julie was amazing and very helpful on what to do outside of therapy. She was very easy to talk to which made less awkward when there was a long silence. My first massage I thought it was all being quite and listen to the smooth music, but she made it to where it was a comfortable conversation. The massages were great and she has good deals. My back felt better and I could feel the pain in certain spots without complaining. I would recommend her to anybody.

Julie was awesome. I do CrossFit 5-6 days/week and have a few specific areas that consistently get tight and knotted up. She was able to make me feel new again, and she offered great advice for rehabbing on my own at home using a foam roller, lacrosse ball, etc. She demonstrated an excellent understanding of the body. Highly recommended for athletes!
