Carissa does a wonderful facial, and Ed a very relaxing massage. Both listen and tend to my needs and concerns with care. I pre-book, so I always have my H&S time to look forward to! They usually have no problem booking my facial and massage back-to-back, and so accommodate my schedule easily.

For a strip mall spa, it's great. Prices are reasonable. Front desk staff was polite, but loud. I could hear people talking all through my service. Not exactly a tranquil setting, but again, it's in a strip mall. My provider was amazing and the service was great. I probably won't go back because of how loud it was and the pushy sales pitch immediately following my facial.

In desperate need of a massage after spending three weeks putting a new roof on my sisters house - called and was able to get an appointment with one of the top requested therapists within two hours (request Ann if you can!). Bonus, joined their membership and received $20 off my visit. The massage was just what I needed the right balance of deep tissue work and relaxation. I've been to other chain massage businesses but Hand and Stone truly feels and looks like a spa. Great experience, I highly recommend. I should have booked 90 minutes!!!

I did a bridal bachelorette celebration party at the Sandy Springs location. They staff went above and beyond in coordinating with me to accommodate getting everyone in and also having everyone scheduled so nobody was sitting by themselves with nothing to do or the whole group wasn't waiting on 1 person. The staff was all extremely professional and patient and they provided us with a private room that was decorated when we arrived allowing privacy for our party! I was traveling and coordinating from out of town and they assisted to make the perfect day. To make things better the quality of massages and facials we received were the best I had and all 5 girls said it was good. I would recommend this to anybody for individual or group services!!

The place is chaos. They’re always trying to give you add-ons with your massage of which they charge you for but they shortened the massage itself for the add-ons . The manager that runs that specific location only worry is money. That particular location does not have a lot of higher qualified massage therapists most are still going to school with very little knowledge . I was overcharged for a massage there. I have been a member for well over 8 to 9 years and this particular location is the pits . I would suggest going to an alternative location . Somethings not quite right with the towels and the linens as well .

Im not normally one to write reviews but I have to voice (type?) this. I've been a member for almost 2 years and go about every 3 months. Positives- Love the massages never had a disappointment with them. My favorite is the Himalayan salt stone massage, but it might not be for everyone. Vessi you are the best! I love how if you don't go every month you still keep your packages, I use them to get the bonus stuff like the foot scrub, premium massages or etc. They will even call to remind me that I have packages available. Negatives- I used to love the facials cause I have chronic acne/ sensitive skin until the girl I used every time vanished. A facial should be soothing, and gentle. Not harsh scrubbing, which tends to get the products in your mouth, nose, or eyes. Would be 5 stars if not for the facials. I plan to be a continued member :)

Went here yesterday for my first massage since my aunt has a monthly membership. I had Nicole. She was amazing! I got the Swedish massage and i like SOME pressure but not too much. She gave the perfect amount and even asked if the pressure was ok ( love when they ask). When she got to my neck, the pressure was a bit too hard and i told her and she immediately adjusted to a lighter pressure. I have had a handful of massages in my life, this was probably one of the best. She uses her arms a lot and so it feels like long strokes ( I am probably explaining this terribly) but I like that better than the shorter ones . The lady at the front was nice. I didn't catch her name but she is from Italy. It smelled good in there. I cannot comment on pricing as my aunt gifted me her massage and i only had to pay the $10 transfer fee. I would definitely go back, depending on the pricing. It is close to my job so that is a benefit too. I would definitely recommend this place, especially Nicole, who btw, works late hours if you want to go after work ( she is there until 8).

Had a wonderful day at Hand & Stone Thursday. Massage by Amber was so relaxing and I highly recommend the Himalayan Stones. Cheyenne did my facial, no makeup rest of the day. It was first time for facial so did the classic. Skin felt smoother and brighter. Will definitely go back for both. The overall feel walking in till walking out is relaxing and inviting. With all their products, there was no hard sell to purchase anything or to purchase a membership. They explain the plan, then up to you. Will go again.

Good luck getting appointments unless you are able to come late morning on the third Tuesday two months from now. Prices keep going up while quality has been going down. They will try to upsell all their add on options all the time, and are pushy about it. They are also very pushy about tipping with credit cards and telling you how much you should tip. Therapists are hit and miss. When you finally find a therapist you like, the person moves on to somewhere better. Then when you give up and quit your membership, they make it hard to do with in-person paperwork requirements, and then you start getting annoying phone calls offering you "deals." Worst of all, they mysteriously "lose" all the credits you have left, that you're supposed to have 90 days to use up. Don't waste your money here, just go to a reputable non-chain place. Better to spend the money for a really good massage every other month than a mediocre one (or one you never get) once a month.

First time getting a massage ever! I had Mike. Very respectful and polite. I don’t normally like to be touched but I came for my sister who is getting married. I lift a lot at work and prolly improperly lift so my back is tight a lot. Recently have been having a lot of back problems, I laid down and almost drooled, had tons of chills, and best part I left without any pain in my back. My body was so relaxed that I went home and literally Passed out! He told Me to put a pillow in between the legs to align the spine. I woke up no back problems. Hand&stone massage, first time try. It’s very different compared to the Asian massage. It’s kind of like someone scrub your body with oil or salt(mint flavor). I can still feels the mint smell after I took a shower, actually I’m not a big fun of it. Probably I was chosen the introductory course. Anyway, It’s a nice and clean place to do the relaxation . But not a real massage place to relieve your muscle pain& stress. I can not even feeling the staffs’ hands power. (He was breathing heavily like a man on a steep mountain)

I first contacted this location two months ago to book a massage for my party of seven. They wrote me down and I followed up and confirmed with them on six different occasions. They called me four days prior to the day to cancel on me because they booked another party. I called as recently as one week before we were scheduled to go to make sure everything was set. It was a last minute decision, the call was quick and the set up over the phone was immediate. My appointment was around lunch time, the check in was easy and quick with no much wait at all. The information were clear and nothing too complicate. My masseuse was Robert and it was phenomenal. We spent few minutes discussing my posture habits and my sore spots and he made sure to work hard on all of them. I chose the hot stone add-on and it was a blessing because it enhanced the already good massage Robert was giving me. Overall I spent 1 hour and 30 minutes between check in and check out and the massage was around 50 minutes. I will definitely go back soon, refer someone and try other add-ons ( facial or swedish/sport massage). My suggestion is not to do like me, last minute call, or same day, but to reserve in advance. They have a lot of masseuses but incredibly ( or not incredibly) the place is always fully book. A+

Disappointed in the service and knowledge level of the people here. From buying the certificates to setting the appointment and finally the appointment. Examples, services was price incorrectly and found hidden fees. Appoint was scheduled for facial and massage but they did not book the services properly. I will never recommend or buy this service for my loved ones again.

One experience with one massage therapist: Mahdiy A. The therapist appeared promptly as I was on time. He took me back and didn't get started on me until 10 minutes past the hour. I looked at the clock on the table. The massage was not as expected due to the fact that it ended 40 minutes later. It was an hour massage. Also the quality of massage was not what I asked for. His personal phone kept beeping with a message alert over the music speaker. I felt like I got the bums rush and then a lecture that I should come by more often. I will never step foot in that place again. I don't have time in my schedule nor money in my pocket to waste on the possibility that I may get the same result. I don't want to be contacted by the manangement; I want the buyer to be aware of what can happen.

What an absolutely beautiful new spa! I went to Hand & Stone in Orlando, so when I moved up to Atlanta, I was so excited to hear that Hand & Stone was opening up in my area. I have been now twice since it opened three weeks ago! I first got a facial and it was not only relaxing but exactly what I wanted and needed. They use the Clarity RX products, which I love! I signed up for the membership right after the service. Great thing about their membership is there are no contracts, and I could cancel if I wanted to, at any time. Then today I went in for a massage! Can I tell you that it was AMAZING! Elvin, the therapist listened to what I wanted and made me feel completely relaxed. I can't wait till my next service!

I’ve normally had a great experience with Joe and the front desk staff at this location. However, my most recent experience has me questioning if I will be a customer in the future. I went for my 80 minute massage on 9/9/19 and had Sharon as my massage therapist and it was the worst experience. First thing she told me was I am normally here only until 7, but I’m staying late since you have an 80 minute massage. Then, she proceeds to tell me she doesn’t apply as much pressure as Joe in which she took her fingers and and went back and forth smoothly on my back with no pressure. I told the front desk girl who was very nice about my experience and she said she would have Management called me. Yet, today is 9/15 and I have not heard anything from management and I am very disappointed in the customer service aspect. I will not be returning for quite sometime.

First, the vibe in this place just doesn't feel like a spa. Second, two of the therapists breathed/cough on my face while giving me a massage and I ended up with a scratchy throat for 3 days. Finally, the attrition rate is relatively high for their therapists. There are some that have been there for a while but you have to book days in advance to get an appointment with them.

Do yourself a favor and don't get the monthly/annual membership here. After one of the estheticians forcefully moved my 5 year old off of a chair using her two fingers under my daughter's ponytail (yes I brought her to the appointment, I had to-it was for my eye brows and my husband got called into work), I complained to the manager who then told me that my children and I were lying about the situation and that it didn't happen at all, said she fully stands behind her staff. I should have called the police but I did not, stupid me! This prompted me to cancel my membership. I was unable to cancel it right away because there was a holiday which prevented the payment from successfully going through and my card was put on hold, along with the membership. I had a service already paid for and scheduled shortly after that, was told I could not use it because the account was on hold, even though I had paid for it already, forcing me to reschedule. I rescheduled for the following Sunday, which was supposed to be with the same woman I had initially scheduled with and learned it was with a male massage therapist, which I am not comfortable, the receptionist tried to convince me that he was great, blah blah-I said no. She then transfers me to someone higher up than her who says everyone else is completely booked and I will have to reschedule AGAIN. Mind you, I am a mom of three, my husband works 6 days a week, overnights, so he sleeps during the day. Just ridiculous. I drove over there today and put my request in for cancellation. WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA!

David was an amazing masseuse. I told him how much i enjoyed his technique. He used his elbows and full arms, and his hands i told him felt musical like they work in tandem to create harmony. He was also willing to add a last minute peppermint scalp massage to my service. The place is great no matter who you have. I highly recommend the Himalayan salt rock upgrade. The tables are heated which is one of my favorite features of this establishment. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable, David discussed any areas I was having tension in and worked accordingly. They offer you the membership but are not pushy about it. I signed up for membership after this last visit bc i love going for a massage so much and i believe it is important to treat and take care of yourself at least once a month. Go! Its worth it ☺️

I've had a membership with Hand & Stone for over two year and I have been to multiple locations. I have enjoyed my membership, but after this experience at the Sandy Springs location, I am cancelling my membership. I booked appointments for myself and my boyfriend at 11 am. My boyfriend is greeted by his therapist and went to go do his massage at 11:15 am while I am outside waiting until around 11:25. There was no sign of anyone coming to come get me so I finally asked if there was a reason I wasn't getting my massage yet. The lady at the front desk tells me that my therapist hasn't shown up and they are unsure what is going on. Turns out my therapist, Wally, just called in sick almost 30 min into my appointment. How did no one know that he wasn't here until 11:30? The staff seems lost and tries to offer me a free session on them next time. This is a total waste of time and now I have to wait for my boyfriend to get finished since he has no idea that I'm just waiting outside for him. I do not think they handled it correctly and it was so irresponsible of the therapist to cancel in the middle of my supposed appointment. They seem unconcerned about my time and now I just drove down here to wait in the front for an hour. No one bothered to tell me anything until I asked. I find this kind of business practice unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer for years, but from this I am cancelling. I would NOT recommended this location and I don't think the staff knows what they are doing. Save your time and your money.

I went today to the hour long first time massage. I really enjoyed Chaun. He did a great job. It for sure was not an hour long because they took me back after my scheduled time and it ended before the time was up from my scheduled time that they were already a little late for. The front desk people were friendly, and the massage was great, he really did a good job and I felt completely relaxed. I signed up for the package. So, if the next one is also 15 minutes under the hour lscheduled then I will probably cancel the membership. Hopefully it isnt because he did a great job. I had Jen as my massage therapist and she really knew what she was doing! She worked with my super tight shoulders/neck in ways I haven't had done before. I finally felt like I could lower my shoulders again. She also recommended ways to make my next massage more helpful and provided good rationale, not just trying to sell me an upgrade. This was my first time at this location and although there was a scheduling error, the manager worked with me to compensate for it at my next visit. Overall, one of the most physically helpful massages I've ever had. I'll definitely be back to see Jen.

I've been with Hand and Stone for awhile. I joined at the one in Alexandria Virginia, before moving to Delaware. I went to the H&S in Bear, DE. In all honesty, I have never received a better massage. My masseuse was Heather and she was fantastic. I had specific issues with my shoulder and biceps. I told her about the issues and she addressed them specifically with a hot stone massage. I felt better than after I had been to a physical therapist. She also did a full body massage during the 80 minute session. It was relaxing, therapeutic, and, as I said before, I have never had a better one.

And it has helped me out tremendously with old aches and pains from the military and just life. I am in my mid 40’s so it catches up with you quickly. But my doing the proper maintenance on my body is helping me keep my youth. I have three teenagers so I want to be able to enjoy life with them and not be just another old dad. I’ve had two great therapists that helped me along the way. One transferred to a different location and the other one name is Marie. She’s new at the Bear De. Location but I am pretty sure she’s one of the favorites already. Thanks for all you have done for me Marie and I can’t wait to see you at the end of the month. After a long, stressful shift at work I made an impromptu decision to schedule a massage on my day off. I thought that it was going to be a longshot calling at 8 PM for an appointment the following day but they made it so easy to schedule. This place is horrible i came here trying to get some relief as I use a walker and I’m disabled and I left with nothing but disappointment and I’m truly disgusted with the way Diana runs her business Diana is the franchise of this perticular location when I went in for my first massage I left in tears because the message therapist said I shouldn’t come here anymore and that I should stop paying for Groupon massages and began to imply I could not afford a good quality massages and that I was basically poor and didn’t care about myself and if I was really hurt and why I use a walker and this went on for the whole entire hour and if I did buy a massage not to ever come back to hand and stone along with her sitting while massaging me because she didn’t feel like standing .I came out finally as it felt like a horrific nightmare for an entire hour and I wept as I spoke with Diana and she said she would make it up to me the next time I intended on visiting and says she fired that employee and admited she was so wrong for that. Fast forward maybe a month or two later I said I wanted to give them another chance I had good faith this would redeem themselves as a well know company but to my despair it was yet again a circus show in there where not anyone knows what’s going on or how to fix the issues that arise at this hand and stone I had an appt at 2pm on September 11. I show up and they can’t find my name on the schedule I already started to see there was an issue because the receptionist looked frantic she said that person who has an appt at the time your telling me just walked back there with the therapist. Then I begin to say but I never cancelled the receptionist says oh I’m sorry I don’t know what happen someone here cancelled it but we can’t get into the system. At this point I know they are lying through their teeth instead of just admitting there’s a mix up I would have appreciated that instead of being juggled around anywho manager comes out and says she can see if someone else is available and I explain to her that the owner made this appt specifically for me. I had enough of her trying to see if someone was available because in all honesty they were understaffed and over booked and I was genuinely upset I said I was leaving and I would be in contact with the owner in a few days. I left a message with a receptionist and they never gave her the messages because a week later I called to leave another message and still no answer back I asked if their was a note on her desk and she says no and I say that’s funny because sharron told me she’d leave one for me. I continue on asking if she can leave one this receptionist is now ceecee she instsits she can and that she was so sorry this happened to me yet again because she was there also for the first embarrassing incident fast forward some more and I decide to call today just to see an Diana the owner answers and has no remorse for what her employees and company has put me through and says I don’t see that you were ever scheduled for that day and then continues to say that they called me to let me know I never showed which is complete BS and I said you know what I will be leaving a review thanks for nothing if you want to enjoy a good relaxing time don’t come here unless you’re paying to be humiliated and juggled around with little to no importance.0 starts if I could but ceecee was the only individual that had remorse ❤️ Ps I should have just never came back like the therapist insisted.✌

I was desperate to get a massage today since I had so much tension in my shoulders. I called numerous places near me to no avail. I decided to take advantage of their $59.95 introductory Swedish massage. When I called to book an appointment, Diana was very pleasant on the phone. I drove 30 minutes from Middletown to this location hoping I get a good Masseuse/Masseur to try to get rid of the tension. I honestly wasn’t to thrilled with the receptionist since she was not as bubbly as I would like but friendly. To cut to the chase, Hamilton (CMT) had the right amount of pressure/techniques to relieve me all of the pain. I am never a fan of contracts but I couldn’t help myself & I enrolled & even booked a massage appt. for my husband. Diana was very pleasant throughout the whole process. I can’t wait to try their facials and my next appointment next month!

From the MOMENT I walked in, I was greeted in such a professional manner. The front desk girls are so incredibly cheery and knowledgeable of all the services offered and how the membership programs work. I love the tranquil blue atmosphere, the music, and being offered coffee or tea as soon as you walk in? BONUS!!! I first had an underarm waxing with Francoise, and she was so incredibly attentive to my needs, incredibly sweet, and when I started crying with relief from the scalp massage she didn't make me feel judged AT ALL. Being happy with that service, I decided to give another chance to get a massage at this kind of place. I've NEVER had a good experience with ANY therapist in my whole life. But I was lucky to get Holly. I have a cervical condition that leaves me very sensitive in the neck, and a pelvic problem that gives me severe lower back pain and I'm SUPER tender in my lower back. She's the ONLY therapist I have had that performed stretching of some sort that relieved me, with a soothing touch, and she was so delicate and cautious on my tender areas. And the best part? I left with relief from the fullness in my head and my sharp pains in my lower back were completely gone. She has extensive knowledge of anatomy and how to handle the muscles for sure. I had never had a massage like that before. She was calm, caring, and applied pressure exactly where I needed it. I highly recommend her!!

I have been having extreme lower back pain and Holly was VERY accommodating to my needs and I went to my facial feeling amazing. I can't believe how much Paige caters to her clients. What I loved the most about these two girls is that they had no problem with my need to get up and go to the bathroom during my sessions. Charming and knowledgable, he reads the patterns of your body by looking at your posture and different visual cues and works what is necessary. If you allow him, and that's what you're looking for. She made sure to check in with me throughout the process to make sure the massage was deep enough without making me uncomfortable. I went back today and was ready for a deep tissue massage. After browsing available appointments online, I called to schedule an appointment using a gift card I received for my birthday. After holding, I was informed that, even though multiple slots were available today, I would not be allowed to book a massage until next week or weekend. In the past, I'd patronized other Hand and Stone locations with my family and received excellent, thoughtful service. I did not have that experience today. I discourage the purchase of Hand and Stone gift cards if their prospective customers are segmented so callously.

The fact that I am now a member and my next appointment is Saturday... I think speaks for itself. The customer service here was excellent. No one was trying to push you into buying memberships however , after you are finished with your treatment you will come out inquiring about a membership all on your own I promise! The reason for one star is only because on first visit paid for one hour massage, upon checking in was offered add on services, which I purchased 2. So expected a little longer than hour for massage and the 2 additional cost add on services. Entire treatment was under 40 minutes. Felt like I wasted too much money and definitely should not have paid for add on services as they didn't add on to massage. If you go, maybe put your timer on phone to ensure you receive what you're paying for.

The male massage therapist I had was too rough and impolite, especially compared to the front desk staff who were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. During my 90 minute session, he also stopped massaging several times to deal with personal texts, likely when he thought I was asleep. Then, coming home to find bruises on my legs from the deep tissue pressure is not something I’ve ever experienced in my decades of receiving massages. I won’t return, at least certainly not to him!

I am so disappointed in the service I received at Governers Square. I had a very nice young lady proceed to do my bikini wax. I have never such a bad wax job. The lines are crooked and there’s patches missing.After she finished she did offer to fix it but I said no because it was very painful and the manager offered to have me come back or take a $10 discount I decided to take the discount as I will never return to this establishment. I've had better. I went there for a hot stone massage. I think the stones were used on me for about 10 minutes for each shoulder. I informed the masseuse of the areas of concentration and he ignored the calves. The next day, my back was worse.

I've been to this location a total of three times. I've recieved a high level of service each time regardless of who was currently working. This says a lot about the staff and the level of professionalism the managers are training these associates to uphold. The hot stone massage is my overall favorite. The dim lighting and nature sounds create a very relaxing ambiance. There is a membership you can purchase to get a monthly deep tissue massage for $60 which is a great discount compared to the full price. I'd highly recommend hand and stone to anyone looking to ease some of the daily stresses.

Reasonable massage. Staff is friendly. Availability is difficult unless you schedule well in advance (or get lucky). Normally, that would not be a problem for me, except they market "Walk-ins welcome". Pricing is up there, as I see more chains taking the same approach, and with my schedule the membership wouldn't work. Over the last few years, the massages have been ok, but not stellar. I've more recently had some tendonitis issues which would benefit form a good foot massage, the the "focus" given to that area was very minimal and not very helpful. Not seeking a medical reprieve but the effort was less than expected, which has happened in times in the past.

I had a great experience here on Saturday 9/30/17. My friend picked this place and I was quite pleased. The place is very clean and the staff is polite. My therapist Edie has blessed hands and gave me the best hot stone massages I have ever had, and I’ve had a few. I thought I was going to sleep during my service, but our very interesting conversation kept me up. The front desk was efficient and Jillian and Anya did a good job explaining things to us. At one point we weren’t sure if there was tension between the 2 ladies, but we soon realized it was because it was busy, and they were trying their best to help us quickly and efficiently. We definitely enjoyed our experience so much we both bought the package deals, and can’t wait to return.

Plus my therapist suggested a great book for me to read about a skin and health issue I have, which is so nice. They really try to help you not just with massage but overall. We’ve been recommending this place to all our friends and family in the area. Definitely will go back and do it again. Come in comfy clothes though cause you will leave covered in oil. So wear something you don’t care if oil gets on it. I was in yoga pants and a t-shirt. I left feeling an inch taller and so ready for the next day. My husband loved it too.

This was my first facial in years. I had previous only gone to boutique spa that were independently owned. I was a bit apprehensive that the experience would be very sterile since this is a franchise. I was pleasantly surprised on how similar my experience to other spas. I am so incredibly disappointed with the service rendered today at hand and stone. I had booked massages for myself and my boyfriend. The therapist pulled be back first but upon finishing my massage, I found out that my boyfriend was never seen. He was also not informed that the therapist wasn’t even there until 30 minutes after his scheduled appointment. I’ve been a member of this salon for over 3 years and I’m mortified with how my partner was treated. No acceptable solutions were offered today (offered a facial in place of a massage). Seeing that we came into today citing back pain, this is hardly satisfactory. I will say, Mimi, my therapist, was wonderful and listened very well to my needs and wants for today’s massage. I have also been seeing Marietta for facials consistently for the last 3 year and absolutely adore her. I am displeased with the lack of information about getting ahold of a manager to rectify the situation in a timely fashion. This was supposed to be a gift to my boyfriend before he makes a long distance move. I am so disappointed. And I hate that a place I’ve been going to for so long would treat him like this.

I have been to Hand and Stone a few times so far. I go monthly. The interior is very nice, clean and relaxing after a long day at work. The infused water is always refreshing. I have had 3 different therapists on my 3 visits. This is due to my primary therapist, Jen being on maternity leave. But Jen, Alison and Rob were all excellent. I look forward to my massage every month. The customer service is excellent.

Hands down the worst massage EVER. Not sure if it’s normal procedure to make a client keep their bra and panties on but I was asked to do so which I thought was extremely odd. Then while being massaged it was not relaxing in the least bit because my bra was in the was the WHOLE time my upper back was being massaged. Also mind you the lower back was left untouched. Then moving down to the legs, I was only massaged from the knee down. If you love arm, calf, and upper body massages with your bra in the way the whole time this is the place for you!
