I was very disappointed. They put chlorine in some of the pools what should be natural so it loses some of the charm. It is busy. But it is located in the heart of the city, so easy to get to. If you are open to other options, I believe you will be better served to visit Strawberry Park hot springs that is a more natural environment. It is about 20 minutes outside the city. If you would like more information about the Strawberry Park take a look in my review about it.
Awesome place for people of all ages
Awesome vacation destination. Very family friendly. So.ething to do for all ages. From young children to older adults. Highly recommended. Very affordable.
What fun, water slides, hot pools, climbing wall.
My first experience with a hot spring was magical! We visited on the first snowfall of 2018- early novemberish. I love thinking back on sitting in the springs while big fluffy flakes came down. The pools are spacious and have varying degrees of heat you can enjoy (again, first time user had no idea you could do that with a natural hot spring). Nice bench seating to loung on in the pools. Wish i lived closer so i could soak more often!
Not as serene as I had hoped but still nice. I would have enjoyed it more if there was a quieter area for people without kids to hang out.
Definitely worth a visit especially once their construction project is complete. Nice facility. Different pools with space for all.
We enjoy the hot springs with my parents and grandparents during the slower times and my daughter loves to play on the slides or on the rock wall. It can be very busy after school and on the weekends but we love it!
Love this place. Reasonably priced with monthly or longer membership. Look forward to new addition opening.
Hopefully the Men’s locker get’s gutted soon. I cant even go in there without gagging and almost throwing up because of the nasty smell. Disgusting.
We had a great time here. I was a little concerned because it was quite warm and Steamboat and I wasn't looking forward to going to a Hot Springs. However I was pleasantly surprised. There are lots of little nooks and crannies 2 relax. The layout is very pleasing and fun, there are pools for all ages. The Climbing Wall and the water slides are lots of fun. This is a great place to spend an entire afternoon
A great place to bring the family to. We enjoyed the main pool as well as some of the surrounding pools. They didn’t miss much at this place. There are two water slides, a rock climbing waterfall, a lap pool, a gym, and several smaller hot …
This place has something to offer for everyone. From the kiddie pool section with little play stuff, and the large shallow pool, to the rock climing walls over pool, large warm pool, hottubs and slides. It is very enjoyable. My only conplaint is we went during the off season and for a quite pricey entrance, they didn't tell us that over half of everything was closed. I didn't see much places for sitting or having lunch.. Again maybe bcuz it was off season.
I always feel great after spending time at the springs. My skin loves it too. Last time i went i got a nice massage
Love this place. First time visiting with my daughter and we will be sure to come back. Pools felt very natural and calming. Very family friendly but there is a smaller pool for the grown ups which is nice. Wasnt very busy busy considering it was a friday so that was a plus. Very pleased with my visit here.
Fun for kids and adults alike, the slides and the obstacles course cost extra but they are worth it.
They are renovating. The same local people visit however and the experience is good. Great vibes on this visit
It's a really expensive pool. $80 + for a family of four PLUS having to buy additional passes to use the slides!? Come on guys, just build that into the entrance fee, everyone hates microtransactions
Wait until the vast remodeling project is done, because the construction is taking up the main parking lot and closed the front entry, so you have to park far away, dodge construction equipment and crews working very hard, and enter through …
If you are in Steamboat Springs, this is a must stop. One of the better organized hot springs I've visited. Great with small children as they have several shallow pools at different temperatures, a splash pad, and some fun floaties. Beautifully landscaped with a lot of seating and shade available. I wish we lived closer, because we would come often!
Awesome hot springs with lap pool and large hot springs area.
Remodelled weight room by yours truly..
Kind of overrated. Crowded, not super clean, lots of yelling children, the water isn’t very hot. Only two hot springs, the rest are over-chlorinated pools and hot tubs.
Mmmmmm.....too crowded. The renovations that are under way suggest pools will get a make over. Let's hope an expansion is part of the plan.
They're making it into a Mountain Sports Center. All amenities included for a price. You'll have to call for information. Still under construction but I can see climbing walls, second floor full gym. Small water park theme. Parking for 75 / 100 vehicles. There is alternate parking, will be posted. Enjoy. I did. Paul
Very awesome. Great experience. Never been to a hot spring and I feel great afterwards. Would love to do again. There’s just some cleanliness issues.
First time in Steamboat and we decided to come to this hot springs due to the location/convenience. Some of the hottub-esque pools were warm and relaxing, despite the swarms of toddlers (we assume this is because toddlers get in free). The only adult area is a small heart tub so we got in, only to see that the water is extremely slimy and there are tons of 'things' floating in it. We had to get out immediately. The other pools did not have this problem. Probably won't be back.
Awesome place to relax and unwind. We will definitely be back again.
The good: Fabulous place. Fun slides. Nice pools. Kids love it. Well maintained. The bad: They charge for every little thing. Admission does not include use of the water slides or a towel. Great place, be prepared to get “nickel and dimed” to death. I’d rather pay one flat price and just have access to everything. I will go back again.
Construction along the outside of the facility looks unsafe at best. Inside looks well maintained but it’s looking dated. White jelly-like slime in the big pool. Not sure what that was! Cool concept. Liked the heart shaped hot tub which bubbles up from the springs. Don’t know that I would go back.
Love this place! Can be very busy after skiing, would reccomend going in the morning or early afternoon to avoid the crowds.
Lap pool, gym, hot springs all in one place. There's even a water slide for the kids! Friendly staff and a reasonable entry fee. A good spot for visitors and locals alike.
Very relaxing place and fun for the kids.
What is floating in the heart springs water? There is a lot of it.
Fun park. We got there an hour before the slides/obstacle course opened - next time we’d wait until those both opened. But hardly any lines. Our 6 and 8 year old loved both. Pools were really warm and not overly crowded.
Really nice pool, But the lockers really need some rubber matting to keep water off your feet while going through. Otherwise it would be 5 stars
This hot spring is good Good for family But there is un professional finishing job some sport. Because there is many children play I just wender. Price I think expensive but 1 year one time no problem My family stared 6:30 am to 9:30 am I will missing this place
Super pleased with our decision to FINALLY check this place out. We've always known about it but usually head to Strawberry Hot Springs instead. Well, now we have a toddler and decided to check this place out instead. What a pleasant …
I go here nearly every day. Always clean. Can't wait for the new additions to open. I hope they add a few more body pump classes because it's always so hard to get in.
They were doing a bunch of construction when I went, which took away from the looks of the building itself. The pools were nice, however most of them were closed and the waterfall was broken.
My sons went there daily during our ski vacation to get in their swim training. They swam in the wonderful warm water even when the air temps were below zero. It's the most memorable swim training they've done.
Lovely place located in town. It has nice pools for kids and adults, plenty of hot tubs, and one large hot tub fed directly from the springs. There are two water slides, but you have to pay extra to ride on them. The price wasn't exorbitant, but it would have been nice to include the slides into the base. entrance fee.
Really unique experience in 20 degree weather with snow! All of the kids (except our 8 month) old loved it. There is an inside area for warning up/entertaining our baby. Climbing wall was a blast.
Love the hot springs and the new remodel!
Several pools of various temperatures with rock wall enclosures and some jets for massage as well as space to swim. Pleasant feeling of relaxing nature immersion thiu nh in the heart of the town on the main street. Nice locker room and showers also. Stuffed furniture by the gas fireplace in the lobby offered a cozy place to linger on a winter day after soaking and swimming.
Wow! Never knew you could swim in less then 20 degree weather and be warm. Very cool place!
Great place to exercise and dip into some water or take the kids. More of a Rec center than a hot spring, but the upper tubs are super relaxing!
The pools have undergone a lot of changes over the years. I remember when my dad was working on the heart shaped pool, he took us swimming the first day it opened. There is still a lap pool which is too shallow for adults on one end. The hot springs are still invigorating
I liked the fact that it is a family oriented place, had plenty of activity for our 2 year old. That's the good. The hot pools were pretty small but this place is under construction so perhaps the are increasing the size of those.
Slides not working bummed our kids. Lifeguards not observant.
After my terrible experience at Strawberry Park, my family and friends decided to head here. Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The park is very kid friendly with several pools, some chlorinated and some the natural springs.
Always seems to be under construction for the last 10 plus years and the price is going up exponentially, otherwise would have gotten five stars.
Beautiful atmosphere and great lifeguards on staff.
We visit this hot spring every time we come to Steamboat. Most visits have been amazing but last night the lifeguard calling out closing was so rude. Screaming "Get out of my pool! Move, now!" He scarred my 6 year old with his aggression. Not sure that we'll be back.
This is a great local gym where you can work out, build community, and enjoy some amazing natural hot springs! It is well worth a day visit if you're visiting from out of town, especially if you have kids. If you live in Steamboat, this is one of the best ways to get in shape, and enjoy the local natural hot springs. there are merried ways to work out for anaerobic, aerobic, and even class physical fitness activities. Something for everyone! Be sure to check out the brand new rockwall. It's great for anyone that has never climbed before or if you are an avid climber.
This place is phenomenal! So much to do at such reasonable prices. The pools are beautiful and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful to visitors. We brought lunch and ate at the picnic tables then swam for a few hours. Kids loved the rock climbing wall in the pool and the splash pad. Can't wait to move here and get a membership to the gym. They have a huge selection of fitness classes and they are doing a expansion of the facility.
Very nice facility. Much more kids and family oriented than "relaxing hot spring" vibe. Visited with a three and nine year old, both had a great time. There is a kiddie pool the length of the lap pool (~25 yards/ 75 feet) and about 25 feet or so wide all at about 2 feet deep. There is also a small splash park area with three small slides and a few water fountains/squirters. For the bigger kids there are two decently sized water slides and an inflatable obstacle course (cost extra, must be able to pass a swim test and close at about 6pm). There are two climbing walls and three hot spring "hot tubs" (one is 15+ yrs only). There is a larger pool (4 or so feet deep), with a shape of circles stuck together (kinda?) - so you can't really swim around, but it is easy to find a little corner to splash around in. There are more rec center like attractions too, but as visitors from out of town it was money well spent. Probably the biggest selling point was the water was warm the whole place over, the three year old didn't get cold once (~80-85 degree air temp, ~90 degree water temp).
We went early afternoon on a school day and it was marvelously not crowded. Families started arriving at 4 for swim lessons and it got busier.
I suggest spending a day here whenever you're in Steamboat. Great for singles like me, better for families.
We loved the big pools and hot springs. Towels available for rent. The locker rooms were clean. Relaxing and fun.
Went last Sunday. I was expecting it to be a hot spring. It was a man made, outdoor jacuzzi which allowed kids throughout. It was not calm and relaxing. It was not what I had expected... at all. Disappointing.
Even while under construction I love it.
Horrible construction and an eyesore. Parts of the park were closed
If you have a hot tub at your hotel, I would skip this. It's way over priced for the experience. We had a group of 11 and asked (nicely) if they had a group rate...... apparently, if you knew to call 48 hrs in advance they would give a group discount. Otherwise, they were unwilling to help on pricing at all. Just to sit in the pool is $18, if your kids want to use the water slides, that's an additional $7!
Super packed with kids on the weekend but it was a pretty well manicured area. Snacks on site.
These springs make a nice little stop if you're in town. Even in the winter, they stay super warm. They don't give the "natural" atmosphere that some of the other springs have because it's right in downtown and looks more like several hot tubes, but is still well worth visit. There are even water slides and a rock wall you can climb before jumping back in!
Price was good! But not enough life guards and shut down climbing wall, to many lanes for laps, and the slide we paid $7 extra to use was shutdown after only an hour. The deep end with diving board was closed for scuba and once opened was only half an hour. Not sure why you post hours but close most the pool.
All of the pools except the heart spring where Luke warm. Apparently whoever was supposed to be taking care of the water flows and temperature controls was off duty.i was specifically told that there was no refund when I entered. Everyone …
